  1. Well, they have arcades and some rides so it's fine by me. I'm happy that it's not like Fantazy Land ! These people too can have fun !
  2. Hahaha...that's the best ride description I ever read
  3. I don't know why, but those skydiver type rides that are at local fairs scare me ! Looks scary and not approved "safe" !
  4. The 2 supports close together on Goliath at La Ronde. At first you wonder why they're placed like that but whatever... Directly from laronde.com
  5. 2 new videos are up ! Front row ride : http://www.zippyvideos.com/2308428935139296/goliathonride1/ Back row ride : http://www.zippyvideos.com/4033546045139366/goliathonride2/ Enjoy ! Post comments as well !
  6. Here's an onride video for you all ! http://www.megaupload.com/fr/?d=BI1TAYO7
  7. Hi Elissa, change mine to : La Ronde insider since I am one...
  8. Well, let me make the first review This morning, I got up at 8 and I checked the weather outside, and guess what it was ...POURING RAIN !!!!! So I was a bit confused about wheter or not to go, but I went anyway ! I arrived at La Ronde at around 11:30 and the park was really empty but all the rides were running even with the pouring rain ! I saw a Goliath train from the entrance, so I rushed to Goliath to realise the best thing ever..... NO LINE and WALK-ON ON GOLIATH !!!!! Yes, you read right, WALK-ON on Goliath ! They were running 2 trains on top of that ! So I got in line (or whatever you might want to call it) and headed for the last row and seated on the right seat. The ride op really pushed my lapbar too much so I couldn't have much airtime on my first ride, so at first it was "bleh". After my first ride, I went to ride again, this time in the first row ! The rain was starting to be more and more heavy. I sat in the left seat, they locked my lapbar but this time, I had it a bit loose. We climbed the lift hill and when the first drop came, I couldn't even see the bottom of it ! It's so steep at 70 degrees ! Arms up, ready to go ! First drop = airtime, 2nd drop = airtime, 3rd drop= airtime, and I think you get it . What a great ride ! Not as good as I thought it would be but it was surely an airtime machine. The trim was working because of the rain so the last hills were a bit slow, but it was good anyway. I wish I could have taken pictures, but my camera decided to die today . I think I'll ask one for my birthday (May 22nd). If I get one, I'll be sure to post pics here ! The queue line has some sweet spots where you can have a nice view of the ride ! That's about it, if you have any questions, just ask !
  9. I wear contact lenses since January and today was my first day trying a coaster with them on and I didn't have any problems ! I rode Goliath at La Ronde in the front row with the pouring ray, wearing my contact lenses and didn't experience any problems. Hence, they felt more confortable after the ride
  10. Yes, the website is slow for me too ! By the way, they put up pictures of the inauguration if you want to check it out ! I can't wait, about 10 hours and I'm there, ready to ride Goliath !
  11. It hasn't been discussed, but maybe there is no pre drop because there isn't much stress on the chainlift... I don't know, just guessing !
  12. Nah, I'll write my own PTR Saturday when I come back from the park ! ... The photo part of it will be a couple of days after because I don't have any good digital camera, so I'm going to buy a cheap camera at the drug store to take some pics.
  13. Today was the media day and there are people I know that rode it and told me it had very good airtime moments on all the hills !
  14. I think it means something like Where is El Power Park ?
  15. Whenever I go to a park, I just bring a backpack with everything in it. This includes food, water and cellphone in the front pocket of the backpack.
  16. I went to the park twice in the last 2 seasons and last year when I went, I waited about 20-30 mins for Italian Job. By looking at those pics, I feel lucky for not waiting an hour for this ride. It was well worth it though. I think it's a shame for the Orbiter that they'll remove it at some point, I loved that ride !
  17. Cool pics ! Hope you had a great time ! I hope that I'll have the chance to visit CP someday
  18. It's also not working here. Is it because I use Firefox ? It tells me a message like "Can not create DirectShow Player".
  19. Wow, thanks to both of you for the info!
  20. Same case for me. When I'll be out of University with my diploma in Mechanical Engineering, I don't know where to go, what way to take to be hired at a company in the industry. This would be a good question to ask !
  21. How can the ERT have bigger lines than normal days ? Don't you have to be part of ACE or any other coaster club for that matter, to be part of those ERT's ?
  22. Woa, I'm surprised nobody posted the update yet ! More pics at laronde.com and 2 videos someone shot there -> http://dropshots.com/day.php?userid=103982&cdate=20060420&ctime=153506 Look, look, a train filled with dummies !
  23. Yes, everyone is wondering what it is for. I am even surprised that nobody on this whole forum has an answer. If you know just tell us, because it is the only coaster (I think) that has this .....
