  1. I loved the skillet sandwiches when I was there in December. The buffets also have some really good things.
  2. ^Anaconda is a lot of fun no matter what. Just brace yourself a little bit for the transitions.
  3. ^No, they're actually doing an event Holiday In The Par. It's a golf tournament. I can't wait!
  4. I voted for Intamin. My top 10 steel goes: 1. Morgan 2. Intamin 3. B&M 4. Intamin 5. B&M 6. B&M 7. Intamin 8. Intamin 9. Intamin 10. Arrow It's a good mix of companies, but there's more Intamin than anything else. Also, El Toro is my favorite coaster ever. I keep track of my top 20, and in the rest of the list there are 6 B&Ms, 2 Arrows, 1 RMC, and 1 Wiegand.
  5. Oh sure, but ever since they somehow deleted an entire kids area from their ride lineup and had a ton of coding errors and pages that didn't display or even exist on their HITP page and had placeholder text go live on the home page for weeks at a time I just sort of learned to ignore their awful website entirely. They really need to spend the money on a competent web team. Yeah, good point. Or as Six Flags would say, [i Like Theme Parks. Agrees Text]
  6. This Great Adventure Online group said they confirmed that El Toro is going to be open and that it's just a mistake. I hope so!
  7. ^Yeah, even though there aren't really many regular airtime "hills", the turns where the track kind of peaks in between them have a cool zero-g sensation.
  8. ^^Boulder Dash and El Toro are very different rides. El Toro has extreme ejector airtime, and it's very positive-g heavy, as well as being very smooth and tall. Boulder Dash is all about the location, and it's more of a "normal" wooden coaster, rather than a modern Intamin or RMC woodie. The laterals are really strong, and most of the airtime hills are also very different. Rather than being super over-the-top and needing tight restraints, Boulder Dash has the kind of airtime where you actually come out of your seat. I do prefer El Toro, but they're my two top coasters. I have to agree that Intrimidator is the weakest hyper. I even prefer Steel Forceless (although generally speaking, I still rank them much higher than most coasters)
  9. ^I wouldn't get my hopes up too much with Lightning Rod being open, especially open so early in the season, just to keep expectations realistic.
  10. ^I absolutely love Grizzly! It's easily my favorite non-I305 ride at Kings Dominion. People who like it mostly enjoy it for the location and night rides, but it's such a forceful and wild coaster that it could be a parking lot coaster and it would still be great.
  11. ZUMANJARO!!! I also like the Top Spin and Round-Up, even though they have tame cycles. But those are obviously low-priority rides.
  12. Six Flags parks sometimes celebrate anniversaries by almost doing nothing but minor improvements.
  13. Anaconda all the way! Cool drop, forceful loop and sidewinder as well. And of course you have the corkscrews. There's only one really rough transition, but the rest of it has the perfect jerkiness for a classic Arrow. Most people who say it sucks hate it because most coaster YouTubers don't like it.
  14. Did they describe the coaster? If not, then it would probably just be a free spin (which I would have no problem with).
  15. A few spots on El Toro, especially the big turn after the two big airtime hills have a bit of a rattle, but not much else can really be improved on.
  16. ^I know it's supposed to be a crazy idea, but most of those are absolutely terrible ideas for me to even imagine.
  17. ^Skyrush has annoying restraints, but it's so worth it! And I have no problems with Millennium Flyer lap bars. On Thunderhead and Lightning Racer they give you a good amount of freedom and it isn't too tight at all.
  18. ^Wow, I didn't expect THAT much to be done about Wildcat. I'm definitely going to at least get that credit next time I go, since the first time I skipped it since I heard it was bad, and the second time it was closed.
  19. I'm starting to be more okay with giving it another try, especially since at Winter Adventure they said that they were inspired to take a shot at the re-tracking because of the good reception and supposed smoothness of the new SLCs being built in other countries.
  20. ^Even if it's a Saturday, you could probably get on all the coasters in just a few hours. If you only want to ride the good ones, it would only take 1-2 hours. Kings Dominion being possible in the same day would depend on what you'd want to ride. If you want to do their flat rides and awesome log flume, along with all the coasters, either one full day or two half-days would be right. Edit: Just saw your plan for KD on the other thread, and the plan you have will work well.
  21. Yes. You could even spend part of or most of the day at both parks without rushing.
