You think they will lift 4 track pieces at one time? That will put some strain on the crane, no? It's a 40-ton lift.... -

I'm really curious how they are going to lift & support the next few pieces simultaneously. -

Poor Mant-uh-Rougarou is going to virtually disappear when Valravn is done. -
Watched it this morning. It had bits of all three original movies. On a scale of Jedi to Empire, I put it a bit below the original and a bit above Jedi, with Empire being up top.

Car 1. Row 3. The front car pivots downward rapidly on the bunny hills throwing riders over the rear axle upward. -

The lift will be hollow, but does that mean the remainder of the ride will be? -

It still has another section going up before topping out. Probably about 20-30 feet left. -
The first two weeks of December are historically "dead" weeks, so studios usually throw out weaker product with little hope of much success. With Star Wars (huge market hog) next week, and Point Break (also WB...) on Christmas Day, the studio (WB) is saying they have no faith in the success of this film.

Meanwhile: They have installed a support section for the low turn after the Immelman. -

I would need to watch the timelapse again, but that could be. It's not easy to get an accurate location from the camera angles we have. -

Pretty sure that is the base to the single column support under the turn up top. Edit: also, they are assembling the catwalks for said turn. -

They are doing a lot of prep today. I feel like something put them into high gear. -

I would agree. Keep in mind the catwalks were attached to the lift track on-site as well. From the camera it is too hard to tell if those pieces have extra connectors on them. -

Ah the theory of relativity shows itself again... They have filled another foundation and unloaded a bunch of support beams. At the moment, they are pulling another piece of track off a flatbed. (Compare this to the arrival of track pieces and ground breaking were the "action" that excited everyone...) -

I had it open in another tab all day at work. They raised the support between 8am and noon. Most of the work after that was cleanup and prep. They did pour concrete for the dive loop and dig foundations for the helix today as well. -

They gotta move quick. They only have a couple hours of daylight left and they still need to remove the straps from the support beams. -

Assuming they have a timeline they need to reach with the taller crane, absolutely. I'm curious how they will maneuver if they complete the first hill/drop. -

When this support section is completed, Valravn will very likely be in the top 5 tallest coasters at Cedar Point. It certainly looks like this section will sneak it past GateKeeper's 170' height. -
Mine makes more sense full size. Quick photo op after leaving Cedar Point with my new car back in 2005.

Nothing wrong with excitement. It certainly gives you something to focus on during the offseason. I avoided the dreaded "senioritis" in high school because I was more focused on Millennium Force construction than I was worried about being "finished" with school.
