  1. B&M only designs what parks ask them to design. Also the newer B&Ms are far from "soft" I agree, it looks like B&M is starting to pick up their game as of late.
  2. Same here. What a joke, Cedar Point...
  3. Actually you can CLEARLY see that it shows more than half of the lapbar. http://magazin.phantasialand.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/3.jpg
  4. The lapbars were revealed in the earlier picture. Not sure how people missed it tbh.
  5. Hey everyone, biggest Shockwave fan boy here. My thoughts on Shockwave's replacement is pretty positive believe it or not. Am I sad to see the thing go? Yes, absolutely! What do I think about Delirium? Well, I tell you what, a ride like Delirium was the only thing I felt that could fill in Shockwave for me, and looks like I got exactly what I wanted! (for once )
  6. Skyrush, nuff said. On a serious note, I think that you could ride some alpine coasters without having the seatbelt there.
  7. Skyrush in the dark was the craziest thing I ever chose to do. It was also the first time I dared to put my hands up on the ride. I was scared as hell but managed to keep them up, even on the hills and that insane headchopper!
  8. That's a really good tip. I couldn't believe it actually had decent airtime and the smoothness was out of this world! It reminded me of Grizzly at the same park and Comet from Hershey Park put together and shrunk. Definitely cannot miss this.
  9. Never went to my home park, Six Flags America, for obvious reasons. The closest major park nearby to me besides SFA is Kings Dominion. Lines can range from nonexistent to packed in, depending on what day you visit and what ride it is. In the three times I went this summer, I saw Flight of Fear have a full queue once in the afternoon, I305 a quarter of the queue full, and Volcano extremely close to spilling out on the walkways. Avalanche get get big lines too because it is right next to Volcano. Dominator can get long lines, but I have yet to see a line longer than 15 minutes. I'm sure it happens though. On my trip there on August 9th, the day Shockwave closed, I went to Shockwave once it opened and rode that a couple times. Later in the day, the lines were absolutely horrific and probably approached about an hour or more. The rest of the lines were pretty evenly crowded, with Volcano of course taking the lead.
  10. I went on a weekday in mid July and it was empty. About single rider, from the things I've ridden so far (all of the roller coasters and some flats), I have yet to see a single rider line anywhere. At least, none that I recall. I would imagine that the river rapids ride would have a single rider line, but I may be confusing that with Dollywood's river rapid ride.
  11. How could I even dare forget about this one? Okay, fine, argue with me that the coaster wasn't great and I would understand, but I love the logo.
  12. Hmmm... my favorite drop is a tough one. I remember I305 being a very good drop, especially in the back, and Skyrush is also calling my name, but I think Fahrenheit wins for me. Never in my life has a roller coaster freaked me out so much.
  13. Probably one of the more unique coaster logo's out there. I'm not too big of a fan of the coaster, but the logo is pretty darn cool. Great Bear at Hershey Park
  14. I remember my first time riding it (the station was EMPTY, so me and my cousin chose back row), when that train came flying through I nearly fell backwards. I totally forgot about the station fly-through and I paid dearly for it. Nonetheless, it was still a great coaster and remains my favorite woodie today. Thanks GCI and Dollywood!
  15. How can you beat the sweetest place on earth? Hershey Park
  16. Goliath's lift structure, and zero-g-stall amaze me. When the renderings first came out showing what this would really look like, I was really amazed. This is one of those times where I think "Holy crap those engineers are insane!" The lift sort of reminds me of how Intamin did the lift supports on I305. Both two great coasters with two great designs! EDIT: Posted this just before you updated yours to include I305.
  17. yeah, i'll join this crew. the ride wasn't great, but i do think it was underrated. that first drop actually was probably the third best first drop in the park behind i305 and Dominator. The loop had great g-forces as well. the rest of the ride was admittedly just something to be endured. my favorite part, though, was going completely limp right before the brake run at the end slammed the train to a stop. my arms and legs would go flying forward like a ragdoll. good times. finally, i will add that the blue/green paint scheme looked pretty great. (and its original navy/yellow was pretty nice too .. but that weird alternating pastels scheme it had through its middle age was horrendous) Wow, that's pretty much my feelings towards it. I agree, the alternating color scheme was just BAD. I loved the green and teal, it made the ride an eye pleaser in my opinion. Two thing I disliked about it was the slow lift (typical for a TOGO, I know) and the turn before the brake run. that turn was just, simply put, really bad. Good thing I knew how to ride it, so I didn't have any real problem with it besides it throwing me around a bit. Enough of Shockwave, who else is super pumped up for DELIRIUM?
  18. Yeah, Shockwave was very smooth but uncomfortable, even for me at times. Nonetheless, I still loved the thing. I didn't know standup airtime would be so much fun!
  19. 1) Made by TOGO 2) Had several mechanical issues 3) Closed 2004 Next: Shockwave at Kings Dominion
  20. I rode I305 in pouring rain twice before they closed down all the coasters, including Flight of Fear, which I was perplexed about. That thing hurt, but the whole train was laughing and smiling all the way back to the station. It was probably one of my favorite coaster experiences ever, despite the constant pain the rain caused.
  21. I like your list, but RMC Wildcat will not happen. Relocating Sidewinder also sounds like a bit of a stretch. My list: I'm bad at this stuff so not making one.
  22. That picture breaks my heart worse than the rubble in the background.
  23. I am really missing Shockwave, but we all know where it is now...
  24. Skyrush: Every part of it. Woodstock Express @KD: First drop. Saw a kids hat very close to the track. Told an employee, but he couldn't have seemed to care less. Several other things scattered around as well. Storm Runner: Brother lost some loose change on the flying snake dive. (Probably lost some more given SR's nature) I have a few more examples, but those are the ones that seem a little out of the ordinary/extreme.
