Is your post in relation to the 'fire' that happened on the 28th? It wasn't really a fire; just smoke haha. -
This is a new type of videography for me; something I just randomly tried.

I remember seeing that too. I didn't know what it was for either. -

Nowhere in my 'ride breakdown' was I complaining; I absolutely LOVE Magnum, every single bit of it. I just included every piece I could remember. -

Let me break down Magnum a bit. Going out of the station is slow and the small little hill and 90 degree turn is a bit rough because they are both quick movements back to back. The lift hill is just a hill so there's no roughness there. Going down the first drop is smooth as well as the bottom of the hill going into the second. The top of the second hill is surprising smooth; it catches the train well and it's not a small crest. The bottom of the second hill is just a tiny bit shaky going into the tunnel but nothing too bad. The top of the third hill can be quite brutal especially if you're not expecting it because it's too short of a hill for the speed that the train is going. The bottom of that hill are the trim brakes and those are a bit rough because they are slightly angled to the left, making them uncomfortable. Then comes the pretzel turn which isn't all that bad; it's rough in a few spots but nothing major to complain about. The bottom of the turn/hill coming out of the pretzel turn can catch you off guard if you're not paying attention and that be kind of painful. The first two hills after the pretzel turn (the tunnel and the next hill) are quite smooth and cause no pain. The 'bunny' hills after that (between the second hill after the tunnel and the brake run right after the next tunnel) is why it's crucial of where you sit in the train. After riding Magnum countless times, I've learned that sitting in the first row of the fourth car is the best mainly for this part of the ride. Sitting in the front or the back is certainly fun; however for this part of the ride, it's not so fun. In the middle of train, there is the least amount of jerking and riding it rodeo-style. Sitting in the front/back, I could never put my hands up for all of the bunny hills. Sitting in the middle, however, I can easily put my hands up with the least amount of pain for the whole time. Then comes the brake run after the tunnel. That's usually not too bad...as long as the train in front of you is already in the station by the time your train hits the brake run. If it's currently sitting at the block brakes still, your in for a sudden stop that most people don't expect and it can be very painful. That's why I always brace myself for it so in case we have to stop, I'm ready. Next is the little 'joy' ride from the brake run to the block brakes right before the station. It isn't too much of a sudden stop there but it is kind of sudden. Another stop it wouldn't hurt to be 'ready' for. I'm not sure why they stop the train so far back there; it's always the same too. The last car is always literally not on the brakes and it's obvious that the train can be farther up on the brakes and still be fine (anyone else make that observation?). Coming back into the station can have a sudden, hurtful stop but it depends on the operator who is handling the brakes in the station. I've been a Magnum fan for the longest time and have ridden it sooo many times so that's how I interpret the ride. -

I know that we still have CP and KI; Cedar Point is 80 miles from where I live but GL was 15 miles. We are all theme park fanatics here and many of us really care about our 'home park'. To have your home park shut down, it really hurts. To everyone who has had that experience knows what I'm talking about. To everyone who doesn't know the feeling, they are fortunate. Dick said that they bought the park because it was 'under hard times' or something along those lines and then ended up closing it 4 years later due to 'low attendance'. That could easily be true, however we all know that's not 100% of the reason why they bought it and shut it down. It being so close to Cedar Point made it a competitor and therefore Kinzel didn't want competition that close. So like I said, Kinzel did do a lot of good for the COMPANY of Cedar Fair but as far as Geauga Lake goes, he didn't care about the park; he just wanted to get rid of it. The day he announced its closing was the day I became an 'anti-fan' of him. So his departure from Cedar Fair is a good thing IMO and I hope Ouimet does some good for the company. -

I do like some of the stuff that he has done; like with the Paramount parks, many great roller coasters, etc. However, the fact that he ruined and shut down my home park put a real bruise on things. -

^ I agree; they've always needed to add some color to the park. It's a good water park, and adding a little color makes it that much better. -

What time did that occur? I ask because at about 7:50pm that night I was just hanging out in front of where the screamsters hang out in Screamworks until 8:00pm. All of a sudden, a few of the security people (the guys who help keep everyone from getting too close to the screamsters there) and a few of the screamsters literally jetted out of the small area and were running as fast as they could near one of the Screamworks entrances (the one right by Cornstalkers' entrance). They've never done anything like that before (I've been there many times at the start of the area) so I'm pretty sure it had something to do with the event that went on but I could be wrong. -

They actually used quite a few of the props from the attraction in Blood on the Bayou. I'm not sure if they're going to keep them there for next year (assuming Blood on the Bayou will still be there). In my opinion, it's was too soon for them to be using the props from the ride. -

Link Please be true. Soak City looks so bland with everything black and beige. I also noticed that the other day while riding Magnum; I looked over and noticed them brightly colored and was like, "woah, that's different." I'm not a big fan of riding a pink/purple water slide but it does look better than the 'dirty white' color. On another note, I was at the park for closing weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday); I had a great time. Friday night it was the coldest night I believe and it only rained for a little bit on Saturday (about 4:15ish) but that was it; so weather wise it was great. Ride wise, I was able to do Raptor and Millennium 5 times each on Friday (very short waits) and was able to do Disaster Transport (felt like it) and Magnum 5 times on Saturday. Sunday I was surprised there wasn't more people there, knowing it was the last day of the year and the fact that the weather wasn't too bad; it was a bit chilly but definitely tolerable. I'm more of a show guy during Halloweekends because I get enough rides in during the regular season. Accumulated for the whole weekend, I saw 'Sideshow - A Carnival of Magic' 4 times, 'The Edge of Madness' 6 times (and parts of a few more), and 'A Halloween Hullabaloo' 7 times. I guess I'm just a sucker for live entertainment. I went to the last showing of Hullabaloo and Madness and there was just so much energy during those shows (especially during Madness because it was the last show of the season so the place was packed with people and energy). The cast of Hullabaloo was at the last showing of Madness and I went to go talk to them after the show. I could tell they love what they do because they were all tearing up (even some of the guys); I think of it as, it's less of a job and more of a passion. So overall, I had a great time this weekend as well as the whole year. I was able to visit the park this year a total of 27 times, a whole 10 times more than my previous record which was 17 times last year. Well there's my little TR. -

I remember doing this system; however it was a long time ago (at least for me it feels like) so I can't remember exactly how good of a system it was. I do remember though that the stamps would stay on my hands for days, and the black marker thingy that they would mark off the stamp with (saying that you had used the stamp) stayed on even longer. It was quite annoying to try to rub the stamps off and they wouldn't come off. -

I don't want them to do Fast Lane because of two reasons. First, I can't really afford it. It costs enough to drive there (gas) and for food, let alone the cost of admission. Second, the regular 'stand-by' lines can potentially become longer due to Fast Lane. I went to KI this summer in late July and that was when they were just starting out to do Fast Lane; it hadn't really caught on so it didn't really effect the lines at all. However, if they bring this to Cedar Point after many people have heard about this, I'm assuming it'll catch on quick, resulting in many people doing it...and then effecting the lines...and as a result making the lines have a longer wait. I'm not complaining (that's not what I do); I'm just stating my opinion and what I think might happen.
