  1. They are doing some re-tracking on a few parts of Mean Streak. Blue Streak does have some really good airtime, definitely more than Mean Streak. I do like MS more though; I think mainly because it's a longer ride.
  2. Even though I don't find it nearly as rough as many people say it is, I do agree with you there.
  3. How were the crowds when you went?
  4. One time later in the day when there was no line, I lapped Mean Streak five times in a row! It was great!
  5. I feel like I'm the only person who actually likes Mean Streak.
  6. I'm thinking about the last full week of January; the 23rd to the 27th at least. Sound good? It's past MLK weekend...
  7. ...unlike every other person apparently...
  8. The only reason I could think of that many people would say would be because they are running out of room. However, they still have plenty of room IMO.
  9. I never said that Cedar Point should take out a coaster, I said only if they had to. Even though I'm not a fan of Mantis, it adds to the look of the park. As someone mentioned, Mantis isn't going anywhere anytime soon anyway.
  10. This may seem a bit crazy but IMO, I'd rather see Mantis go than DT. I can ride DT 10 times in a row and still want to ride more but if I ride Mantis once, it's enough Mantis for me for the day.
  11. Every time I ride Mantis, there's always bad, uncontrollable head-banging. Also, the blood rushes to my legs forcing them to ache fairly bad. I never ride it by myself when there's a line. The only times I will ride it is if I'm with a group who wants to ride it and the line isn't more than 15 minutes, or if I'm by myself and there's no line JUST to get the credit. Personally, Mantis is the only stand-up coaster that I have ridden; therefore I don't know if all stand-ups are the same. IMO, I'm not a fan of stand-ups.
  12. I'm just not a big fan of stand-ups in general, and love floorless coasters. So while others love stand-ups and wouldn't want to see Mantis go, I would be more than happy if they replaced it with a floorless.
  13. If they were to take out Mantis and put in a floorless coaster, they would have a better coaster than Mantis no doubt. However, knowing Cedar Point, they wouldn't do that (take it out).
  14. This is my latest 'short film' I've uploaded. Tell me what you think; I really like constructive criticism.
  15. I was bored so I made this little video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpmn-tt-zH4
  16. My latest video!
  17. No one (at least me) minds 'threadjacking'. So I am a horrible planner when it comes to pretty much anything. Like most other people, I want to go as cheap as I can with the trip. I don't need to go to a water park (I'm not a fan of them anyway) and I want to go to at least three of the parks (Disney of course); some of you mentioned Universal but I'm not planning on going there this trip. Anyone have any suggestions on how to plan a good trip besides avoiding EMH days (which you could tie in to your suggestion)? Of course I do want to go to at least one park that has EMH for that day. If I can save money by not going to one of the parks, I could definitely do that but I'm not sure. This would be my first time going by myself and therefore I don't really know what the best options are; like park hoppers and such. I would however like to go to the parks one day each and not really 'park hop' per-say because I like full days at the parks. I park hopped last time I was there and didn't really like going to two parks in one day; I felt like I missed too much at each park. Would a park hopper still be cheaper or would just buying day passes for each park be cheaper? Stuff like that is what I need help on. For some reason, their website gets kind of confusing for stuff like that (at least for me). Any suggestions help. Thanks.
  18. I'll probably want to do a park for EMH for at least one park, which means I have to stay at a Disney hotel. So if I try to avoid parks with EMH for that day, then the park should typically be less crowded? Also, the All Star resorts are the cheapest hotels at Disney, right? I like cheap ...well, cheapest in this case.
  19. I didn't even think about ride closures (rehabs). I checked Screamscape (not sure what other site to check for possible ride closures) and according to the site, the only closures that would make me are Big Thunder (closed 1/9/12 through 5/12/12) and Fantasmic! (closed 1/9/2012 through 2/12/2012). Since it's only the end of November, things could change; those could not close and/or other good attractions could close but possibly not. Hopefully no other good attractions would close but I can't really control that. What is marathon weekend? Also, how's the weather in January in Florida? I remember when I went down there in November back in 2007, it got pretty chilly some nights.
  20. According to this article, January is one of two of the best months to visit (least crowd wise). For anyone who has gone in January, is that true? I'm thinking it would be kind of busy in at least the first part of January. While many of the high schools go back probably early January, many colleges don't go back until mid-January so that could (my thinking) bring more people in during that time. I'm thinking about going during January but I don't know what part of the month to go. Any info would help. Thanks.
  21. ^ I agree; people complain way too much about that.
  22. ^ What track are you talking about exactly?
