  1. I'll start this off Irvine, California Orange County University High School 92603 Turtle Ridge
  2. So I'm not sure about the rest of you guys, but none of my friends are coaster enthusiasts. I really like talking about roller coasters and theme parks, however my GP friends are as not nearly as enthusiastic as I am. However, after reading the "Embarrassed of Parks.." thread, I realized that many people are in the same situation as I am. So that's why I made this thread. In this thread, all you need to do is post various locations that apply to you, such as your city, county or neighborhood. Then, after a while, you can come back here and search the locations that apply to you and figure out if there are any enthusiasts in your area!
  3. Saw this thread, went to the website, and now I'm addicted
  4. You have created a breeding ground for the juciest of dank memes
  5. The memes on here aren't nearly as dank as I would like them to be. I'll just change that up.
  6. (Sorry, blast from the past here...) Was it... row 6? Can someone explain why this is so funny? I feel like I'm missing something here. I think that the Row 6 joke originated from one of Coaster Studio's live streams. I'm not too sure though. Yes, yes it did
  7. I've only ridden one suspended coaster in my life, and that's Ninja at Six Flags Magic Mountain, which I believe is considered one of the better suspended coasters. The ride is a decent family coaster, but it's definitely no where near a great ride. In my opinion, spinning coasters like Cobra's Curse and Sierra Sidewinder and family launch coasters like Verbolten and Firechaser Express are better, more reliable options for family coasters.
  8. SeaWorld San Diego is pretty overrated IMO. It's theming is meh and the animal shows are sub par. I also think that DLP is a bit overrated- it's a good resort but it's no where near as good as WDW or DLR Finally, I think that DCA is pretty over hyped by the GP. A lot of my friends think DCA is better than DL while I think (and probably most enthusiasts think) that DL is wayyyyy better than DCA.
  9. (Sorry, blast from the past here...) Was it... row 6?
  10. Saw this in the headlines today I feel like this basically proves that PETA is only in this for the money. SeaWorld has already announced that they're stopping their breeding programs, and I'm pretty sure that most people can agree that none of these orcas could survive in the wild as they've been in captivity for too long.
  11. I got a 10 minute long survey from SFMM dedicated entirely to Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. So yeah I'm going all in on JL:BM. If there is interest I can post some of the screenshots of the survey.
  12. I wanna say something about GhostBusters real quick. I thought the trailers were alright. I wasn't laughing much during them and I could see why people disliked them, but I didn't think it looked that bad and I was totally planning on seeing the film. However, all of a sudden the GhostBusters behind the camera people (I believe the director and some of the producers but idk) started addressing all of the negative criticism and instead of doing what most people would do and say something along the lines of "we can see why the fans are upset/we think the fans will be pleasantly surprised by the end product/it's all about the fans" they instead said "screw the fans they're just being sexist cause this movie is getting way more hate than it deserves". I feel like that response made myself and many other people really start to root against the film. I mean, you make a movie for the fans, and then when it gets some negative feedback you blame it on the fans. What the heck? So yeah, I'm not going to see this movie as I don't want to give any money to people who can't take criticism and I really hope this film does poorly to show the world that you just can't do that.
  13. Got to ride GhostRider on Sunday. It was surprisingly very smooth and full of air time. It was a little less intense, but it's a small price to pay. I'd probably say it's my 5th favorite coaster and my 2nd favorite at KBF, behind Xcelerator
  14. Screw the little things to be completely honest I only go to theme parks for the rides
  15. What?! Pacific Spin is an amazing ride! It's really going to be sad to see it go.
  16. I think the answer to the question about the California Cyclone is actually the Giant Dipper at the Santa Barbra Boardwalk. The answer to the previous question is Screamin' Eagle at SFSL Which coaster replaced the world's first modern inverting coaster?
  17. Even though the TC line can get packed, it moves fast because the ops need keep the trains cycling at a good pace. The NR line is atrocious due to the VR. You'd think strapping a cellphone to your face wouldn't be that hard, but it seems that for every dispatch there's at least one or two devices that are broken and need to be replaced before the ride can start. Unless the line is unusually short (or you happen to be a fan of video games) I'd ride without the VR device and skip the line altogether. Worth doing once if you've never seen it before, but it's a cheap gimmick and not worth an extensive wait. Wait, so if I don't want to ride with VR I can skip the line? How?
  18. 10/10. He should do it as long as he has permission from a parent and/or a guardian.
