  1. Sadly, I wasn't a single rider during this trip. I went with my parents. Anyhow... each picture is taking forever to upload to TPR, so here's the entire gallery and my scorecard. I didn't get to do as much as I wanted, but hey, it was still fun! New Texas Giant - x3 Judge Roy Scream - x3 Titan - x1 Shockwave - x1 La Vibora - x1 Runaway Mine Train - x1 Batman: The Ride - x1 Rodeo - x1 Texas SkyScreamer - x1 TOTAL - x13
  2. I think a wingrider or floorless would be nice. The park has a shortage of B&Ms imo.
  3. I dream of a hyper/giga using Power Surge's station, lift can go towards Pandemonium, airtime hills going over and along the quarry towards the parking lot and back. With maybe a splashdown using the PS pool. Wait, but there's also a ton of unused space behind Frisbee too. Power Surge is a great way to cool off without waiting in line. Plus SFFT has a 200ft building limit iirc
  4. Did you ride it with the old or new restraints? That could have made the difference based off what I've heard. I rode it with the current track design. Changing restraints won't change that. The new restraints are way softer, though, so the transitions wouldn't be as painful :/ Any ride that shuffles me so dramatically from one side to the other so my neck jerks in such a fashion is going to rate low in my book. Yeah, if that's what you don't like about it, I can understand why you wouldn't like it. Sharp turns aren't for everyone (Poltergeist at SFFT)

  7. Score for you, then! Unfortunately I was only there on Saturday and Monday.
  8. ^ Yep. I wish I had gotten 31 rides on NTaG. I actually liked it better than Iron Rattler due to its length and boatload of airtime.
  9. I would have if I had run into it on the way to something and the line had been decent. I couldn't actually figure out where it was and I didn't have enough time between the rain and time constraints. When I go back I will definitely try it out though, when all the kinks are fixed. On another note, I'll be updating the TR today with Monday's pictures.
  10. Heyo TPR! I got back from Dallas yesterday with way more pictures than I need, but I had a ton of fun and boosted my credits, so it was totally worth it. I ended up with 141 pictures total but some of them weren't good enough. Friday Killing time in TPS before going to bed. Saturday Random stuff on the way to Dallas Buc-ee's billboard on the way to Dallas Wait, let's stop for breakfast! Everything is better with more bacon... even bacon! Oh, and pancakes, too. I got a pack of Wrigley's, too. This wouldn't be notable, except for the flavor in each stick of gum here lasted a really, really long time. Like, 5 or 10 minutes before it's flavorless. You can see La Vibora from the parking lot entrance. Hi La Vibora!!!! Titan looks really impressive from the parking lot. This is really big. Look, it's bigger than my size 12 shoes! The ground is wet since there's no drainage in the parking lot. I see you, La Vibora! I see you too, NTaG! The weather doesn't like me Of course it starts raining right when we get into the park. Since we can't ride anything because of the rain, let's check out some of the random decorations! We don't have Fanta Orange at Fiesta Texas! You can see NTaG. It's pretty Since the rain stopped, we started heading to Titan, but the whole time I was thinking about NTaG. I'm very jealous of these people. Titan's trains are shiny. Titan had a fast lift hill, a great first drop and a fun turnaround, but there was only one airtime hill (a weak one at that) and the helices give you a headache if you're not prepared for them. Ahh, now here's a real roller coaster! Now heirz sum reel Tayksaus thiemen' !! Who cares about theming the picnic tables when there's this thing less than 100 feet away? *jealousy intensifies* Sleek, sexy I-Box track Your average Cadillac doesn't have lap bars. We stopped to get soda and watch the first few minutes this ridiculous show. Let's hit this as soon as we can. The crowds are still pretty low... I spy a snake... Almost there... ...and it started raining. Greeeaaaat. It stopped raining 10 minutes later, but La Vibora has to get dried out, so let's go do something else. Are you open? No? OK then. Are you open? No? Well, that sucks. A ton of random people were in Judge Roy's tunnel waiting out the rain when it started back up. Yes, there are people waiting in line for Aquaman Splashdown in the rain. Let's get some food since everything is closed anyway. I can see Poltergeist with the old restraints hiding in the Johnny Rockets menu. Hello Pandemonium clone. No, I won't be riding you yet (hey, at least it shows that they're opening coasters again) Next up, Judge Roy Scream. Out and back woodie. Old, beat-up woodies look really cool with chipped paint. Oh, and cushioned seats help too :3 This StarFlyer is way taller than it should be. Next up was Runaway Mine Train on the way to Shockwave. It's a fun little coaster with great theming, but it's pretty rough and the lift hills are brutal if you don't brace yourself. Let's go ride Shockwave now. Closed due to weeeeaaather???? As in, it's raining 35 miles away? Or is it closed due to the humidity, because that's what I actually feel. Since all the coasters and tall rides were closed, we rode a weird Octopus that was themed after a rodeo. Theeeeeming These are what you sit in. It's such a ridiculous ride. Coke Freestyle, with every flavor that every human being will ever need, plus more! This carousel is right at the entrance. It's very... grand-looking. I'll see you on Monday, SFOT! ...and some random guy's hairy arm got in the picture. I will see you in the future, Roy! ...bye-bye NTaG! We stopped at some buffet place for dinner. It had literally everything on the face of the planet available. ...dinner... ...dessert... Comfortable lodging I will add the rest tomorrow since I'm tired and don't feel like staying up another hour to finish the rest.
  11. Pretty sure Alpengeist's record was "tallest full-circuit inverted coaster"
  12. Batman: The Ride (SFOT) It's more forceful than Goliath at SFFT. The restraints are also very shiny as are the seats. I wish they did that to Goliath.
  13. I'm far from hating Titan at SFOT but the helices are painful and I literally almost blacked out. It wasn't even hot that day either, just humid, and I wasn't exactly dehydrated either. I feel like it uses up its speed and height just to push you through a pair of death helices. Many here said the same for Goliath at SFMM, but to hear people rave about Titan is ridiculous when there's NTaG right next door which is rerideable and has a mindblowing amount of airtime. I think I counted one moment of airtime in Titan and it was weak floater air that lasted about a split second. The sideways hangtime after the MCBR is cool though. Also, Boomerangs. I know the enthusiast community hates them, but the GP obsesses over them and it's really annoying.
  14. I'm headed to day 2 of SFOT today. Hopefully weather doesn't murder the rides like it was doing on Saturday.
  15. I remember going to Magic Kingdom when I was 7 and being really bored and irritatable all day (mostly after my mom convinced me that Space Mountain was for 7-year-olds). Of the 4 parks I've been to, Lagoon has the best vibes, SFOT has the best ride collection, SFFT has the best service, and WDW has the best theming. SFOT also has great history and theming, so overall it wins, but their weather policies are ridiculous and their service is a hit or miss (Titan had a great but slow ride operator, NTaG had a boring but efficient ride operator). Overall I prefer SFOT but I've only been go four parks so this is giving less than two cents.
  16. Freddy's Frozen Custard is right by the entrance/exit for SFFT, and it's very good fast food. If you want BBQ, Cooper's is a great place in New Braunfels on the way in/out of Schlitterbahn (which should be a stop on your trip of it's not, it's an AMAZING water park).
  17. I went today and weather wasn't great but it shortened lines. A bunch of rides were closed for about an hour around 2PM and after that lines sort of vanished (hint: use these ride closures to get meals). We got in relatively early but due to random rain the original plan changed quite a bit. I'll get a Photo TR once I'm home since this was just day 1 and I'll probably post some random daily updates in this thread.
  18. Pleasant surprise: Judge Roy Scream at SFOT. I expected a moderately rough and boring coaster (it's my first woodie) and it turned out to be a very fun and quite smooth ride with some nice pops of airtime (and even some light pseudo-ejector airtime on the first two hills).
  19. Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags Over Texas. I wish it could've been Shockwave but apparently a random weather alert happened with blue sky and an hour later after we left some heavy rain came pouring down. It's nice though, because I'm going to be in town another few days so hopefully I can ride Shockwave and then maybe get some clone/kiddie credits.
  20. Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags Over Texas. It's a fun little coaster that's almost like a dark ride, but it's showing its age and the turns are very clunky (watch your back on the lift hills).
  21. Big gap update: Runaway Mine Train at SFOT, 1966.
  22. It's one of the lesser known parks. The only people I've meet who know about it are coaster enthusiasts and people who have it as their homepark/went there on vactation. Your comment describes every Six Flags park except maybe SFGAdv and SFMM I'd add SFOT to that list since it's "the original" but yeah you do have a point haha
  23. Quantity < Quality Trust me, what you've got is a world-class lineup. Although... having more coasters is more awesome than not for any park whether it needs them or not
  24. It's one of the lesser known parks. The only people I've meet who know about it are coaster enthusiasts and people who have it as their homepark/went there on vactation. Although it is around the size of SFFT (a few more "big" coasters) so you're definitely right that it isn't small, but I still think that it needs expansion more than GAdv does.
