Speaking of shaking, from Zumanjaro you can see the track of Kingda Ka sway a lot after a train passes, for like 2 minutes. It's really interesting to watch.

I think CW needs a really solid inverting coaster. They have world-class rides that don't invert like Behemoth and Leviathan, but a good B&M looper of some sort is what I think would fit at CW

I'm also in a minority for liking the Bizarro theming. I never got to ride it as Medusa, so I may be a bit biased. But I like the color scheme, the flamethrower, the giant auger by the corkscrews, the Superman Frames on the first drop, the fog... I really think it adds to the ride, and doesn't detract. It does have a bit of a rattle now, especially right after the cobra roll into the MCBR, but I've ridden it enough times to expect it and brace myself and ride that part a little defensively. It's easily in my top 5 in the park.

I am not so sure that is a valid reason for not having a "front gate coaster" at KD. The LA times interview, with Matt Ouimet, on Cedar Fair's coaster legacy, (past, present, and future), points to a reason that holds more water than the family friendly logic. Matt alluded to the fact that some parks in the chain would not see a "front gate coaster" because of the nice, grand promenades like those at Kings Island and Canada's Wonderland. Given that Kings Dominion's entrance is almost a clone of Kings Island, I don't think we will see a gate coaster for that reason either. Doesn't Leviathan almost count though? It's very close to the entrance I believe, so that could be another reason they won't "Deckerate" it. Keep in mind Leviathan doesn't show up in Google Maps and I don't know the park layout too well as I haven't been there in forever Anyway, I don't think KD really needs a gate coaster. The entrance looks nice enough as it is. Would I approve? Hell yes, because having a coaster right at the gate always gets me excited for the day, and it looks really fantastic IMO, but if it didn't happen I would be fine.

Seriously, If I were a designer I too would just give my elements the stupidest names just to f*ck with the park too ^By the way I've heard that was the case for RMC and SFDK according to someone who works closely with CA parks

^Agreed. CP has made the most revenue as of recently, thus they get the major investment. It makes sense. CW's time will come very soon as attendance levels are just too ridiculous right now to ignore.

^IMO Starry Sky Ripper is by far the best B&M Flyer (of course, I haven't ridden it so I'm going based off of looks). It not only has a lot of lie-fly elements, but they all look really intense. Any park in NA that got a Flyer that actually took advantage of the perpendicular heartline a flyer offers would have my ticket!

F325's land clearing started in March-May... I'm not exactly sure when as I don't remember

I doubt it because A. Bizarro is no longer as popular as it used to be for whatever reason, perhaps because of its unfortunate location (I don't understand why, it is one of the better coasters in the park). S:ROS (yes, I'm calling it that already) is one of the most popular rides in the country, so there is reason to build hype for it. B. There was a lot of complaining about S:ROS when it was Bizarro so that's possibly another reason for the conversion

I've heard EGF's curved drop is packed with airtime so if The Joker's drop is anything like that, it will be awesome. As for making fun of the first element's name (I admit it doesn't exactly roll of the toungue ), coasters (especially RMC's) are getting such psychotic elements that I think designers are starting to run out of ideas on naming them. I mean, we went from just going up in a circle (loop) to rising and turning in the direction opposite to the roll. Try to come up with a name for that!

Like all you guys, I want to avoid lines, so thank god for Season Passholder Previews! (I may possibly attend media day too) After that the lines will be enormous so I'll wait until the hype dies down to ride again, or I'll come early. By the way, if you want to complain, you're entitled to your opinion, but PLEASE read the last few pages before posting your opinion! It gets really annoying to see one issue brought up, resolved, then brought up again 2 pages later by someone who didn't read the previous pages!

This thing looks mental. That first overbank/inversion is absolutely insane. They've got a winner on their hands for sure

^I've heard about it once but I'm not putting any stock in it. It would be really cool because I've heard Maverick's are great, but I don't think that's happening. I remember everyone was complaining that this thing would look ugly on the lake, but honestly it looks pretty damn good, I can't lie. I'm worried about the lines though... this year has been very crowded so if next year is like this, I expect long lines for this thing. I really like how it opens up views of the lake, the area just looks better now but I'm not going to fully judge from just a render. I'll try it for sure, and I'll try to make this thing spin as much as possible. It's a good addition, different from anything we already have, so why complain? Oh yeah, I forgot, unless it's a 400ft Intamin Aquatrax someone will always find a flaw and complain to death about it

YES they're returning S:ROS! I hope this means perhaps new trains because the audio system is no longer needed, and it will return to it's former glory!

I'm starting to doubt that this is the final version, but I do believe the video has at least some credibility to it. Oh well, I guess we'll wait until tomorrow. 7 hours left. EDIT: ^Have you seen the KD thread?

For someone extremely, and I mean insanely experienced it would take a few days. For anyone else it would take weeks, to months. Keyframe animations take a LONG time to do. I see what you mean though about something being abnormal, I'm thinking perhaps it may not be the final release.

It's real for sure. This has Keith's animation style written all over it, and you can even see his Kingda Ka animation in the background, as well as the other background rides in the park. The material settings look exactly the same as B:TR's rendering, it's nearly identical. It's a shame they didn't spring for the 10 inversion model, this thing is unfortunately going to be a capacity nightmare if next year is anywhere near as crowded as this year was. I think I'll wait until later in the year to ride it (given that it's SF it may very well open then ), when the hype finally dies down and I won't have to wait 5 hours to ride it. I really think the ride experience doesn't justify the ridiculous wait times this thing will get. It actually looks a lot better on the lake than I thought, and the color scheme is pretty cool with the 2 color rails, but the color choice could have been better. This definitely means Roar could get this sort of color scheme too. The theming/name could also have been better. Another reason it's real is because typically the park releases the animation to the media early but it's strictly confidential so that they can prepare their articles in advance. Apparently someone leaked it and I don't think the'yll be at media day any time soon
