  1. Definite is a strong word, but it's pretty obvious that they're getting a coaster for next year. 85-90% chance in my opinion.
  2. A water park expansion is most likely. I wish they took a page out of KD's book and made a path through through Thunder Road. An RMC is highly unlikely, as Cedar Fair doesn't work with RMC (yet). Plus, there's not much they can do with the layout anyway, it's very linear and out and back-ish. If it were more of a twister layout, then I'd say they can make a top-notch ride.
  3. Yeah, parks don't just remove rides for no reason. As stated above, Carowinds will justify it somehow. Every park makes up for a ride removal eventually, even if it takes a while.
  4. Wow. I'm glad I decided not to go today, I had a feeling it would be packed but not on the level described!
  5. That track looks green because it hasn't been painted yet; only coated with primer. It is likely for the same Chinese wingrider.
  6. ^That looks beautiful! The colors of the scene are varied, and it looks fantastic at night.
  7. Thank you for posting that picture of I305's crest in the side view. I've never seen a picture of it so perfect,so I've had a hard time recreating it in N2!
  8. ^Not to mention perhaps the best coaster on the planet. I get it, even that experience you can get used to, but I have a feeling I305 was meant to satisfy us for a while before a new attraction. Be patient. Something is coming within the next 2-3 years, I just don't think this is the year anymore; no confirmed markers or surveying. If that is spotted, then I will change my opinion. If they do get a coaster, I must say that KD needs another B&M in my opinion. If not, at least something comfortable and smooth By the way (I haven't been following this) what makes everyone so certain that CP is getting a coaster this year?
  9. I wonder why the track is still covered. Also, what's with the different crossties? It seems like Intamin skipped a straight one with every piece
  10. ^Well, it's an Intamin for starters Jokes aside, it is the first blitz coaster, and usually firsts have mechanical issues (I'm looking at you, Xcelerator). Other than that I'm not sure
  11. ^Hmm... El Toro vs. Skyrush..... that's actually a good matchup, and It would take a while for me to decide. It's debatable, and I say it would be split 55 to 45 in favor of El Toro. Now that it has been mentioned, I think it would be fantastic if Hershey had a drop tower. It would be a perfect fit at the park, and I do love me some drop-tower airtime!
  12. I believe the photo pass is valid at all parks, at least Im 80% sure
  13. It would be useless to do this on a TOGO, yes. And since it is a TOGO, the transition variability would vary. But for the most part, the closer you are to the track, the less exaggerated the transitions are, although I never implied that it was that simple. For example, if you put your elbow on the table and bend it at a 90 degree angle, then move your forearm left and right, obviously your hand travels a larger distance than a point closer to your elbow. Even though BGW is only so far away, I think an airtime machine would be a nice fit for KD actually. They lack anything in that catagory because I305 obviously doesn't specialize in airtime. After all, (even though the two are pretty different, and both parks are CF parks) KI and CP both have hypers
  14. I'd bet everything against that, as well. That ride might be even MORE rough even IF that happened (which it won't). Shockwave will be gone by 2017, amigo. Actually, it would be less rough as a sitdown. Lower heartline=less exaggerated transitions=less rough ride
  15. ^I agree with every word of that post. It would be pretty cool to have both the B&M and Intamin capital within 1 hour of each other!
  16. Man, you really got all the details with this one; you can even see every scratch in the track and cable lift. 4K killed my computer though, so I watched in 720p but it was still great. I kinda wish I had a 4K monitor now
  17. I can't wait until we actually see solid evidence that we're getting a coaster. Then I'll lock in my prediction. Because right now, this is just (highly) educated guesswork (still interesting though)
  18. Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure yesterday, and this ride was a little interesting this time; The ride had just broken down (wasn't surprised at all) and of course they did a test launch. When the train launch, it absolutely flew, even for Kingda Ka! It easily surpassed 135 mph, as it didn't even stay at the crest for half a second and looked like it had some El Toro/Skyrush style airtime up there. Usually, consecutive launches tend to be close in speed (meaning a fast launch is usually followed by another fast launch and same with a slow launch) so when it was our turn we were in for the fastest launch on that ride I've ever experienced.
  19. ^Every park does it differently. You saw how SFMM just got people from the internet to be in the shoot. I personally like it that way, in my opinion it's a bit fake with actors and more real with normal people. I guess they just want professionals.
  20. ^Is the fog machine still working? I'd be glad if it did, as I'm heading on over to give El Diablo a try tomorrow (or Sunday if it rains)
  21. Haha! Took the words right out of my mouth. The mist was only for that day lol. They had some leftover effects from Fright Fest so they said "why not?". I do hope they use it more often, it looks really cool!
  22. ^Until Monday, California has not only had a regular drought, but an airtime drought as well . I'm glad you guys in Cali finally get an airtime machine, you deserve it .
  23. ^The layout is sorta similar, but the similarities end there. Leviathan was sorta B&M's Millennium Force, trying to play it safe but also delivering a good/great ride. F325 is like their I305, as they just went all out on the intensity
