SFOG This Saturday!
Homey G. replied to nannerdw's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Here's the most important thing you need to know based on what you've said. With rain in the forecast, make ABSOLUTELY sure that what you want to ride MOST is done right away. SFoG is one of the best parks in the chain, but they're completely retarded when it comes to the weather. Any sign of rain, forget about it. Hope for a break in the weather cause they go straight to DefCon5 at the first drop of the wet stuff. -
^^ You mighta missed the "LNM" reference, but it's in there. Look for the "long tunnel" reference.

Yay Lori! I finally do something right! Funny thing to notice here guys. Did you happen to notice any mention of DarKastle? No And she STILL seemed stoked about this park? That's because this park kicks total ass without it. Sure we walked by it, and admired the massive size of the place, but then we just kept on walking to the FestHaus to get some grub. Point is, BGW is a park that can ONLY be made THAT much more wonderful by the addition of it. It's not a park that hinges on DarKastle opening to make it a MUST DO park. It's really been one for years. Alicia and I went back yesterday (Sunday) and the place was 10x more crowded than Friday. We rode a grand total of two rides (Alpie and Apple's Chariot) and we were perfectly content. But I WILL say that the park ran max capacity. 3 trains on Alpie (2 Friday when the park was, for an intents and purposes, completely dead), and 3 of AC (again, 2 on Friday). Couple of random things I'll add : --Busch Williamsburg clearly to me is up there with the Universal's and Disney's as far as total park experience. Every little nook and cranny of this park is themed to the gills with seemingly NO regard for cost. It's submersive to the level of ONLY Islands of Adventure, and some could argue more so. --Little things like the quality of the benches (very nice, and probably expensive wood benches, as opposed to mass produced wrought iron benches), quality of the paper towels in the bathrooms that you could almost blow your nose on as if it were toilet paper. --Feeling like you were a VALUED guest of the park when you were only one about maybe 1500 folks in the park. That's one thing I hate about the bulk of parks I attend. I try to hit parks when their at their slowest because I strive for the ability to make multiple laps on coasters, but I've found myself giving up on feeling like the park gives a damn about me because they don't. Slow days at most SF parks means the workers slack off and generally aren't motivated to make sure your day is a great one. Not here. This park is worth 50 bucks every day I've ever been. Thanks again Steve and Lori. We had a ball, and can't wait til CedarMania to see you guys again! P.S. Thanks to Elissa for telling Alicia and I what time BGW opened Sunday on our return visit! 10AM! We got there at 12.

The "What Sports Do You Play" Thread
Homey G. replied to coasterdude5's topic in Random, Random, Random
I played baseball and basketball in high school. I still play golf in the summer, and have skiied since I was 8. I'm a great teacher if anyone would like to learn since I can ski backwards. Brian, who says if you get out of control, just steer into me! *Please note, it's more helpful if you take ^ that advice to not outweigh me.* -
And for all you cat lovers out there, I give you... "The I love you kitten" http://www2.b3ta.com/i-love-you/

^ All I know is that's gonna be one BIG cat. Just check out his paws! Here's my cat Kobayashi (yes, from Usual Suspects) aka Koby.

Man, I didn't whine THAT much when I didn't get to ride my Cyclone two days in a row. Ah Joe, you poor thing. Go ride Mummy... a lot. Have fun in Cali! 8) -
Has anyone here ever been to Strickler's Grove
Homey G. replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Stricker's IS a park I'd love to get to, but that "2 day a year" thing is tough on a SC boy. Then again, maybe I just want to get there because it burns me up that a dog has a credit that I don't. -

I for one am really disappointed in you guys. You should not make enjoy such a horrible game. I thought you guys had class, and at least a little bit of heart. Clearly you don't. That said. You suck, I can't break 1000. Stupid flytraps and their stupid teeth killing all my momentum. --Brian P.S. I call horsey to Elissa's 2000+.

It's a well known fact that GCI's coasters are, in fact, NOT made of wood... hence the declaration of "fake". They are, as it turns out, made of that spongy material Florist's foam that is used in potted plants. Brian, who says if that's not what he meant, then I'm lost.

Funny. I saw Kelly in Wal-mart Sunday night before the show aired where Kelly turned into extremely annoying nagging girl. She said it was definitely worth doing, and that she had a ball, but seemed hesitant. I wonder if she knew that the whole world was about to see her become turbo bitch. Here I am wondering what in the world Ron has done to deserve her snapping at him. The man says "shush". I know good and well I haven't said that since 2nd grade. --Brian

^^ That's ok, not many are. But it illustrates my point. It's similar to the guy at Acrophobia that tried to tell me that it was physically impossible to scream AFTER you drop on Acro. Umm, ok buddy.

Dood, I remember those days. I'm good to like girls about 10/3 now. Enjoy it pal! --Brian

I did just fine. My arms were up defiantly through 3 "ARMS DOWN" messages. I was rebelling against "the man". I was stoked at the end, hence the "rock on"

In that case, might I also recommend skipping Cypress Gardens and their Butterfly Observatory -
I know a guy who's queerer than a football bat, and he like ICP (Insane Clown Posse). His boyfriend, on the other hand. Cher. Brian, who says... any guesses?

Avast, ye landlubbers... here ye be, ye scurvy dogs : Millennium Force- A (verrry front seat only, otherwise B+) Top Thrill Dragster- A (fabulous for what it is, though tough to rate) Wicked Twister - B+ (I love it, don't care if it's weaker than opening year) Raptor- B+ (a very good invert, s'pecially with the MCBR off) Disaster Transport- B (probably the closest to Alaska I'll ever get) Magnum XL-200- B (you know? it's odd, I like it, but don't adore it) Mantis - C (don't mind it) Cedar Creek Mine Ride - C (nothing insulting, but only rode it once) Blue Streak - C (Blue Streak is lost on me, I forget it's even there)) Iron Dragon- C (*shrugs* throw away the first half maybe it'd get B-) Wildcat- C - (carny rides at CP? IB maybe, but CP??) Gemini- D+ (man, I just don't get THOSE great rides some people get) Woodstock Express - C (standard kiddy fare) Mean Streak - D (CP should cut their losses and walk away) Corkscrew- D (45th arrow coaster in this park) Jr. Gemini- D- (coaster whoring got me a strained ACL on this bitch) Sorry about the pirate thing. Seemed like the right thing to do at the time. It's funny, I think we rate the coasters at Cedar Park a little more stringently because it IS Cedar Park and it IS SUPPOSED to be the roller coaster capital of the world. However, they have lots of coasters that aren't bad, but they have lots that just aren't good. If Milf Force were at my park, I would power ride it all day long, but at CP, I rate it against SRoS at SFNE and it pales. Fair? Not really, but that's not my problem. I'd say 5 out of 16 are really solid efforts.

I'm a guy who likes girls, but I have a girlfriend who likes both.
