I'm planning to be at the park Fourth of July on a Saturday from 9:00am till 1:00pm just to tour the park see how the lines are. I got my vacation time off July 29 till August 5. I'm planning to visit Silver Dollar City, Six Flags St Louis, Six Flags Great America two days Saturday Sunday. Adventureland my very first visit add some coasters to my list along with Silver Dollar City. I'm also going to buy the Six Flags Gold Season pass save you a tone of money free parking to $173.00 buy online. Saturday I'm going to buy the flash pass try it one day see how it goes. Print off the paper work on your computer show it when you get to the park. Also my very first visit to Silver Dollar City to. Getting ready excited for Outlaw Run and Goliath not to mention lots of B&Ms . I saw the new food stand by Wild Thing this morning. -
Has Goliath been closed? I read on screamscape said one of the trains got stuck on the lift hill only has one train operation till they fix it? Said it maybe open back up this weekend? I could imagine what the lines be like on Goliath with one train running? I hope they have both trains back in operation at the end of July when I go out to Six Flags Great America Saturday. I'm going to buy the Six Flags Gold Season pass I've decided to do that because it will save me tone of money and do the flash pass Saturday expecting the lines to be the longest on Saturdays then Sunday's? I'm also going to Six Flags St Louis.

Went back to the park for a while I notice yesterday when I was talking with Frazier about the train TWO on the shaking and vibration I went back to Wild Thing this morning notice they had both train one and train three running today. Both train one does not vibrate or shake in the front first car and along with the same thing they had train three operating today doesn't vibrate in the front seat. Do they run train three on a regular basis? I wonder if Frazier had maintence crews looked at it because train two is on the transfer track. Frazier said he would put that on his things to do list. -

The park is normal today. With the heavy rain this morning everything was open. Got in at 9:30am no one there. Waited ten minutes for Corkscrew to open when it did got two re rides front row till ten then headed to Extreme Swing two re rides no one in line headed to Power Tower two re rides on turbo drop two re rides on space shot when leaving turbo dop the ride ops said I didn't have to walk all the way around nice. Also when I was at Power Tower talk with one of the ride ops ask said there was a power outage Saturday said it was chaotic. Rides where closed ALL games were the only thing open. Went to Wild Thing no wait time for 45 minutes did several re rides in the front half way through going up the lift on Wild Thing a guy was taking photos or recording ride op stopped the train don't people listen to rules? Also with Wild Thing again on train TWO the first car shakes a lot vibrates to only in the front is that normal? Went to Renegade rode that four times in the front re rides no wait times running fine. Started to walk to the front of the park saw Frazier stopped chatted a few minutes I mentioned to Frazier about train TWO on Wild Thing about the shakeing and vibration said he would put that on his things to do list and I also told him about the POWER OUTAGE on Saturday he wasn't there but said it wasn't good. None of the walk way lights were on to. It was a power outage somewhere in Shakopee. I like visiting shakeing Frazier hand when I see him. The park didn't get busy till around noon. My upcoming Midwest coaster trip. Six Flags Great America Six Flags St Louis Silver Dollar City Adventureland, Iowa Arnold's Park, Iowa -

Has Renegade been running two trains on weekends? How come they can't keep both trains running in cycles in the morning until the lines build past the tunnels and with Power Tower run all three towers run both turbo drops keep the lines down on turbo drop? -

Power Outage. Here's the story on Valleyfairs power outage just after 5:00pm local time Saturday. Not the first time this has happen. People were mad about waiting in lines for there refund? You should expect something like this to happen. http://m.startribune.com/local/south/166184496.html http://www.kare11.com/story/news/local/2015/06/20/power-restored-after-outage-at-valley-fair/29052607/ http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2015/06/21/outage-shuts-down-rides-at-valleyfair/ bringmethenews -
The trip looked expensive but doesn't I'm probably going to buy the thrill pass parking two days $50.00. I know I'm going to do it right this year I'm going to buy the flash pass for two days I check the rates for motel 6 and super 8 three miles from the park around $145 not bad two nights. How much is the flash pass? I'm going July 28 August 5. Thanks for the info.

I like the photos report it does look like a full day. -
When I make reservation I'm going to buy the tickets online. At the gate says $67.99 plus tax online $45.99 save about $20 with tax not to mention $25 parking why so high. I also called a repersenative said I should do the thrill pass but I'm only going for two days not worth it the flash pass might be better then thrill pass.

B&M Valleyfair I know there are a lot of us that want Valleyfair to have a full sized inverted for the park would be perfect investment for the park and I would bet if you built it they will come. Imagine lets say Mt Olympus got a new B&M coaster wouldn't matter which type what would you think people would be talking about if Mt Olympus were to get one before Valleyfair by 2017? I know Valleyfair is going to do a large soak city water park expansion. And when Valleyfair if they get a B&M inverted coaster I wouldn't care what the park does after that because I'm a fan of the B&M's when I go to Cedar Point walking on the midway I love hearing the sounds of the trains on Raptor so that's why I'm pushing Valleyfair to get one I'm going to Six Flags Great America, St Louis and Silver Dollar City so I'll get my chance to ride many B&M's. -

I think a flume ride be better for the back of the park building a new roller coaster in the back is kind of risky for flooding unless they raise the land elevation add flood walls or build a dike. I'd hate to have a winter season lots of snow and have the roller coaster under water miss opening day or closed till flood waters go down specially if it's going to be a big one how about taking out the second que line out of Thunder Canyon adding a flume station there and have the flume go over or around the Thunder Canyon they have room in there. Add water falls tunnels make it a theme Thunder Canyon and flume ride. New proposed area for the back of the park I'm almost certain there going to have to build giant flood walls would anyone know how high they would have to raise the land or how high the flood walls be? I think we need to add new flat rides dark ride before the coaster I know every one wants B&M inverted but the park needs to add some new flat rides. I think a complete park would be: Dark Ride, Flume Ride, Haunted House, Wind Seeker, Larson Fylers, more water park expansion. 2016 Water Park Expansion. Larson Flyers. New thrill ride I'm going to the park Sunday evening after the twins hand Father's Day also Monday -

There's only a pile of dirt left un touch when the bull dozer left during the off season I think there's a un touch dirt road on the field connecting from the toll lanes not sure on this. Maybe adding two new housing buildings? Work done during the off season nothing now -

When I was at the que line waiting for Renegade to open I was talking with one of the ride operators for a few minutes I ask him about the rumor of Excalibur on why the second train isn't on the track he told me they we're having computer problems and said something about the train coming back to the station wasn't responding right with two trains running at the same time. So that could be the reason for the removal of the second train. Computer brake problems. Also when I was walking around the park I noticed that there are small yellow markings around the Gazebo stage one at the Renegade enterance one at the Excalibur. Don't markings mean something or there planning something also by the amphitheater by the train tracks there's also small yellow markings and one small three red dots right by the Panda Express sign on the curve. And when I rode Wild Thing a few times it's on the second train when it goes up the chain lift it kind of shakes really bad half way up then stops shaking? Train two. -

My prediction for the dark ride is also the amphitheater location they also could consider moving the enterprise and use the land were the chaos use to sit. You can flatten out that whole space. Something is going to go in the amphitheater spot some sort of ride. I'm also wondering are they going to have to re design the train track layout then or have it go around the dark ride? The CEO said all cedar fair parks will be getting a dark ride. I'm not sure if the inverted will be the largest invesment in the parks history. Wild Thing would be number one I rember that year real well they bairly got the coaster open on time opening day in 1996 had crews working 24 hours round the clock to get it open. My guess would be developing the back of the park with the removal of Excalibur adding the new access road and new soak city parking lot new proposed employee lot along with the very large soak city water expansion and removing the trees trying to clear out that whole back of the park would be a large invesment. If this all happens I'm kind of wondering if they would bring in mortenson construction company ones who are building the Vikings stadium to help out. -

I didn't know that the carrousel got some refurbishing this off season. I've also noticed yellow markings by the Gazebo Stage to real small ones. -

I don't think Rip Tide is closed for issues I've ridden it a few times and when it's working seems to be running fine and has the same ride operators all the time I'm kind of wondering its closed short staff on ride operators. Raging Rapids and Thunder Canyon have been open almost every day since I've been to the park. With the rumor of Excalibur leaving I'm still thinking its kind of a mistake Excalibur for a parking lot. Valleyfair should re think this. Do the coaster first then the water park expansion or include it with the inferstructure plan. They should consider that space for more room for a water park expansion but I guess Valleyfair sees a growth in soak city knows what they are doing. When I say hello to Frazier when I'm at the park I've mention to him something about adding a new full sized B&M inverted coaster and I think he knows that's what every one wants the park to have. 2016: (40th Anniversary) New Larson Fylers and a new giant thrill ride. Maybe a Dark Ride by amphitheater along with refurbishing the carrousel, monster and enterprise. 2017 New B&M inverted coaster. More water park expansion phase II. 2018 Plans get approved for the wetland permits and construction to start for the water park expansion phase III, new wider service road access around the edge of the park new proposed employee parking lot. 2019 Construction is finished grand opening of the back of the park and water park expansion. -

It's our 40th anniversary next year. When was the last time the carrousel got a refurbishing on it? I'd really like to see the Enterprise to. Red Wheel with white gondolas and red white blue new LED lights something like that and maybe a refurbishing on the Monster? I'm having a hard time thinking that the tilt a whirl and the scrambler both got a new look for the Route 76 but not the Enterprise. And the Looping Star Ship could use a new paint job but I see it beeing relocated somewhere else in the park for the water park expansion. Move the Looping Star Ship remove the volleyball courts relocate the enterance current soak city back were the gate is by Mad Mouse move the food truck different spot in the water park there you got room for another water park expansion. Also soak city needs to add more blue recliner matts for seating capacity the day I was there to try the new slide tower they were all full by noon 90 degree day. Maybe add a large area for just for recliner matts and giant umbrellas to.
