With the new rumor from screamscape on a very large soak city water park expansion there going to need more lifeguards they can't be short staff and have parts of the water park closed on a busy hot day. Make for some upset guests specially with the rumor larger water park expansion they should plan on adding more staff maybe double along with the possible inverted coaster and dark ride coming I don't think it will be good for the park having attractions closed because they don't have the park staff. I wish I was there this morning weather is nice my day off I'll be at the park mon tues hopeing Rip Tide will be open Tuesday do some rides on it going to be 90. I personally don't think closing down rides attractions specially on a busy weekends like on a hot Saturday in the summer because of short staff will make for some upset guests who want a full days worth I don't think that's a good idea? I don't remember then park being this low of staff before. I'm also kind of curious about the short staff if there going to have the ride operators work longer hours open/close? I know that when the water park closes at the end of the season the lifeguards will come out to help the ride operators. -

What happens if we were to get a capacity or busy crowd for the water park on a hot weekend in July are we going to have the water park open in full operation by July with the staff? Is this the first season the staff has been low? -

I was at the park this morning. I did High Roller four times in the front row till 10:00am. Now that planet snoopy is open this month for early rides going to be on High Roller for a while. They did have two train operation this morning they were expecting a very busy day with school graduation. I went to Renegade also had two train operation early in the morning did some nice ride time for a hour no wait yet. After Renegade I walked around the park Wild Thing que was almost full two train operation didn't surprised me adding a third train The Extreme Swing que line already a 1/2 hour wait full que Power Tower Turbo Drop was getting full and only one Turbo and Space a Shot was running? Also I walked by the Panda Express notice three small red circles or dots its kind of by the curve see if anyone else notices I'm not sure if it's fresh? Probably going to be the second buys day of the season I will be at the park on Saturday. Also the yellow markings by the amphitheater to. -

VF15 Does the entire water park have heated water if so I'm going to give it a try. When I rode Thunder Canyon and Rip Tide the water was cold I wish they would have heated water for both those rides, with the rumor for the back of the park I'd like to see Thunder Canyon as part of the water park expansion adding more water falls make it more of a theme ride. What is the heated water temperature normally at? Make it part of the water park expansion. -

This hasn't been brought up yet but would they use The Bumper cars as the location for a new dark ride and is this the last week for school field trips I was there last Thursday they had the park open at 8:30am 4400 kids I'd like to visit a week with out schools there and get some decent ride time without all the school kids plus the park is opening up different areas of the park each month in May it was Steel Venom, Route 76, Tilt a Whirl, Scrambler and Enterprise personally I still think they should have that park open earlly for season pass holders? Are they going to do early rides on Wild Thing, love to see some on Extreme Swing and Power Tower plus Renegade? This month is planet snoopy, High Roller, Corkscrew, one more thing I've been noticing when there opening the park up for early rides some of the rides don't open close to 10:00am? They should have the rides tested open early ready to go? Thoughts? -

C.P.A. Guy: We already on a waiting period 2007 Renegade was our last one were already going on eight years add five more years on top of that? I don't think people want to wait 13 years for a new roller coaster it's going to be my guess I'm hopeing for our 40th anniversary. I'm excited to here what's possibly coming to Valleyfair. Will there be another public hearing and what did the people say at the public hearing were they excited? I'm going to visit the park a lot this summer to see if there's anything going on. -

So is city/state going to help with the new parking lot are we talking about the main lot? A repave? Is the plan still there to build a new access road around the park? Also how long has that tunnel been there on the way to Thunder Canyon? -

I got another idea location for a new B&M inverted coaster. We're the Corkscrew station is. I have two ideas. (1) Make the exit que line have it turn to the right down by the walk way faceing towards Power Tower. (2) Make the entrance que line take a right turn from the Corkscrew station make the que line go down by the walk way faceing Towards the Power Tower. (3) Relocate the Ferris Wheel and have it go over by the Route 76 perhaps were the chaos use to sit and flatten out that whole land space were the Ferris Wheel sits for a B&M inverted coaster and use the land by The Wave for a inverted station and have the 170 foot lift hill faceing towards Power Tower and go over the water were the same spot were the Corkscrew sits faceing Power Tower and have the track go over planet snoopy and have it come around towards Power Tower que line and have the brake run go behind the Rip Tide and the midway games maybe remove Bumper Cars make room for the brake run. There's room there for a inverted coaster look how Hershey Park did with Great Bear. -

There will be four days in June 15-18 long range saying that the temperature will be near 90 for the first time this season we'll see how busy the water park will be. I'd like to ride Rip Tide few times on a hot humid days in the morning then dry off on the Extreme Swing lol. -

I don't think they will have problems getting permits. Valleyfair owns all that wet land by Rendgade. They said there going to buy 4.5 acres of new land and with the removal of Excalibur are they going to use that money for scrap or I'd like them to sell the ride off maybe to another park like perhaps Michigans Adventure? How much money would they get for Excalibur? I would think they would start construction in diffetent phases I'm thinking by July will see the park getting more active lol. How long would it take to tear down Excalibur? Garyman6 care to share your thoughts lol? Use thunder canyon as part of the water park expansion -

I rode a few laps on Renegade this morning running great anyone who rides it look to the right there is a giant hill of dirt that's new this year I don't remember seeing that last year and I saw some workers down by Thunder Canyon this morning. Keep the Thunder Cayon as part of the water park and update the que line with new LED lights and for the back of the park will need a new bigger rest room of course people are not going to want to walk up by Wild Thing to use a restroom and add a sit down splash bar like Cedar Point has at there soak city with TVs so adults can enjoy a cold beer and add a sit down air condition resturant for the back of the park . Do not remove Thunder Canyon keep it with the water park expansion it's the only thing left there lol -

I read screamscape report on the removal of the Excaliburs and its last season possibly. I sure hope Valleyfair knows what they are doing by removing a coaster for a new parking lot for soak city and a new access road around the edge of the park and not replacing it with a new inverted and according to screamscape its going to be a very large water park expansion were Excalibur sits. But I'm getting excited about the news and don't forget about the new dark ride possibly to. With Cedar Points rumor B&M dive coaster and Canada's Wonderland expansion wonder if they will include Valleyfair as part of the capital expansion for the next two seasons. At least Valleyfair has a blue print figured out now. Also with Thunder Canyon could they include that with the part of a water park expansion maybe add a theme water coaster or add a snake pit water slide package over Thunder Canyon? Will Thunder Canyon be included with the water park expansion maybe adding a theme water coaster over Thunder Canyon or a Snake Pit slide package like at Dorney Park go over Thunder Canyon make it a theme ride? -

Remember Valleyfair only has seven roller coasters if we remove Excalibur we only have six. I don't like the idea about Excalibur for a parking lot Id rather see it a inverted coaster. We can't loose any coasters I'm hopeing Valleyfair will follow Dorney Park with the removal of there Hercules wooden coaster for a new B&M Hydra The Revenge floorless coaster same thing with removing Excalibur for a new B&M inverted coaster. Also with the flooding back of the park are they talking about flood walls raising the land and what is going to be done with Thunder Canyon could they include that with the water park take out the second que line maybe add a Snake Pit water slide package go over Thunder Cayon or a water coaster? Does anyone remember a bull dozer over by the Valleyfair housing this off season I took a photo of it I think they should move the employee parking lot down by the Valleyfair housing ideal spot for one and what are they going to use this land for just for parking right now or expansion? And I think the parking lot could use a upgrade new stripes or repave it to and at the end of the parking lot down by the river is that field going to be over flow parking still? VF15 if you ever want to meet I'm only fifteen minutes away from Valleyfair I'll be there this weekend I normally were a black shivering timbers t shirt blue jeans black sun glasses I've also meet captain unknown. During the off season. -

Screamscape is right on most of there rumors and after reading this I'm getting excited for Valleyfair the next few seasons. My guess is Valleyfair is next after Carowinds. Screamscape had the rumor about Fury 325 maybe they will be right on Valleyfair. Maybe they need a new large parking lot for soak city anyone who has been to Valleyfair on a busy hot weekend say the 4th of July the main lot is almost full and what screamscape said about the expansion maybe they should add a new parking lot for soak city. Since it is the parks 40th anniversary I would like to see a major capital announcement from what screamscape is reporting on the removal of Excaliburs possibly its last season and the plans in the annoucement for the new parking area for soak city and the new access road going around the edge of the park. Having a big annoucement and have a big media day for Valleyfair From what people were talking about the removal Excalibur for the inverted now it see more likely for the water park expansion and I need to ask this would they include Thunder Canyon as part of the water park nothing was said about that? I think the inverted coaster will go up in front of the park Dinasours Alive area? And don't forget about the yellow markings by the amphitheater are still there. Also a new toll lane entrance like Carowinds would be nice. -

Before Valleyfair even thinks of getting a second hyper coaster we need a full sized inverted coaster first and add some new thrill rides and expanding the water park more once all that's done then you can talk about adding a giga coaster but we have limited space for one. If we get a Wind Seeker we can go as high as 275 feet it can be built. The one in Adventureland, Iowa is The Storm Chaser 260 feet 35mph. I emailed Cedar Fair about adding a new B&M inverted coaster I got response back from Cedar Point there going to forward my email to the right repersenative I'm waiting to see if I'll get a response back lol see what they said lol. -

Anyone get a email alert saying Valleyfair is CLOSED this Sunday for a private event? . Is it the Carlson company again? VF15: You said somewhere in one of your posts about having a air race thrill ride? I watch some YouTube videos at Lagoon Park in Utah is that the air race thrill ride your referring to? Looks like fun I haven't been on one. Valleyfair needs some more thrill rides that goes up side down anyone agree? Some idea Thrill Rides Valleyfair could use. (1) Spin Cycle (silver wood theme park) (2) Air Race (Lagoon Park) (3) Samuria (Lagoon Park) (4) Max Air, Cyclops (Cedar Point) (5) Sling Shot (6) Larson Flyers (7) Apollo (Dorney Park) (8) Revolution (Dorney Park) (9) Avatar Airbrnder (Nickelodeon Universe) (10) Brain Surge (Nickelodeon Universe) (11) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles She'll Shock. (12) Zip Line? (13) Wind Seeker. I just got a updated email alert from Valleyfair -

CaptainUnknown nice to meet you at Power Tower today. One of the Steel Venom ride operators who sees me there a lot said they will be opening planet snoopy early this month at 9:30am believe he said starting Monday and I spoke with one of the managers told me there going to open different areas of the park each month for early rides probably for season pass holders he also told me its on the web site this is something new this year just started. I'd like to get some early rides on Wild Thing, Corkscrew, Mad Mouse, Extreme Swing, Power Tower, High Roller and Renegade. I think for early rides on Renegade the park should open fifteen minutes early takes five minutes to walk to the back of the park. I also think for Renegade sometime this season maybe on a Sunday stay open after ten for ERT for season pass holders get some night rides same with Wild Thing, Power Tower, Steel Venom , Enterprise Extreme Swing, Route 76 at night so you can see the LED lights. I think the park should stay open couple of hours after it closes for season pass holders few rides at night different areas of the park through out the season or maybe next year for there anniversary. -

When I normally visit Valleyfair a lot I usually were a black shivering timbers t shirt along with short blue jeans or blue jeans depends if weather or a black shirt with a blue motor cycle I also were black sun glasses to. Went on the Enterprise Dave Frazier waved at me. This morning Rebegade had two train operation finally got some nice re rides few in the front few in the back you can re ride twice then you have to go around again running great. Steel Venom was down till about 11:00am no early rides . Ride operator said it was weather related it was chilly this morning 51 degrees. Can Steel Venom operate below 50 degrees? Went on the Extreme Swing twice and rode Wild Thing half way up the lift the ride operator stop the train had to do with some people not following the rules she walked up the lift was talking with some people in the back stuck for about ten minutes. RCjunkie If you want to do some riding meet I'll be there Sunday, Monday also I'm normally there from 9:00am till 1:00pm same on most of my days when I visit. -

From the look of the second Excalibur photo they could fit a Nemesis sized inverted coaster in there. We're Excalibur sits it's either going to be were the water park expansion is or for a new inverted. This might be a idea how about adding Thunder Canyon as part of the water park expansion because that's the only other ride back there maybe referbush it by adding some new water falls or add a snake pit water slide package like Dorney Park has have it go on top of Thunder Canyon make the slides go down were Excalibur is? New rest rooms maybe a air condition sit down restaurant in the back of the park how about a sit down splash bar like Cedar Point has for adult beverages having a beer while at the water park with TVS to? I like to be creative. -

The area over by Corkscrew and The Wave could be another spot for a new thrill ride lots of room. Location for a new thrill ride in that area?
