  1. I'm at Renegade right now waiting for it to open Mike told me they replace the chain lift on Friday so they can run two trains regularly. Renegade is running two trains this morning. Got on northern lights around 11:40am after the ride was finished got stuck on the ride for ten minutes because they couldn't get the loading platform to come back up they had to call maintence to bring it back up after the ride operators handed out free water first time getting stuck on northern lights.
  2. Renegade hasn't been running two trains expect on the 4th of July when I was there I haven't seen them run two trains on a regular Saturday unless the line passes the tunnel then they will add a second train like I said go there right at 10am ride till noon get about two hours of re rides and you can stay in your seat unless there's someone in line and if you get off find a open seat to ride again they will let you do that twice then you have to walk around. I'm also going to be there on Saturday riding the Extreme Swing first for a half hour early rides season pass holders
  3. I don't think Fridays aren't that busy. I'm off Monday's I think Monday's are the best days to go and the slowest if you want to visit the water park on a hot day do that first because it can get crowded specially on weekends. If the water park is crowded on hot days and weekends if you want to plan to do the rides/roller coasters when the water park is busy everyone might be at the water park instead of being in the park and the chances of lines being long won't be busy because I went and did the water park half the day when it was hot humid last weekend then did the park all the rides/roller coasters weren't that busy pretty much a walk on Renegade will have the longest wait if you want to ride that get there real early at 10am you can do re rides till about 11am stay on twice before you have to go around and you can do the whole park in three hours I've done it many times on a Saturday and Sunday hope this helps some.
  4. Wasn't there a public hearing back in May about this? Why would Valleyfair want the publics objection on this? I would think by now they would have the permitts approved and Valleyfair and Cedar Fair are paying for this so why do they need the publics opinion on this? Doesn't Valleyfair own all the wetland areas in the back of the park anyway? Couldn't they do what they want with there own land and just get permitts? I like the idea of expanding the back of the park for possibly a new coaster and water park expansion.
  5. Renegade @ Valleyfair on Tuesday my count this season is 470 rides on Renegade. 470 Rides on Renegade this season so far
  6. It's going to be sooner or later before the amphitheater gets torn down spot for the dark ride location just wondering would the have to re route the train tracks have it go around the dark ride and move the enterprise to make room for the dark ride and a new train station would be nice for the front of the park. (I'm just saying the amphitheater is the perfect spot for a dark ride I'm not trying to start rumors just speculating like everyone else). Eventually it will be gone right? Re route the train tracks for the dark ride go around it? Use the land were chaos and enterprise sits to make room for the dark ride?
  7. Less then one week away on my vacation: July 29-August 5. Silver Dollar City Six Flags ST Louis Six Flags Great America Adventureland, Iowa.
  8. (1) Dollywood's new rocky mountain coaster already under construction waiting for the announcement? First of it's kind launch. (2) Lake Compounce: Phobia Phear Coaster. 150 feet 65mph. (3) Adventureland: The Monster. Five inversions new steel coaster. (4) Cedar Point: New B&M dive machine waiting for the announcement in August. (5) Wildfire (6) Mako new B&M hyper coaster
  9. Both Extreme Swing and Wild Thing are open. Something I noticed while riding Rip Tide they drained out the water completely this time first time I've seen that this season the water pumps having problems? Can Rip Tide run a normal cycle with out the water on keep it open all day? It seems to have issues with the water pumps. Wild Thing down today
  10. I'm taking a week off July 29-August 5. I'm going to Silver Dollar City, Six Flags ST Louis, Six Flags Great America for two days Saturday August 1st Sunday August 2nd then Adventureland on Monday all day get in a motel sleep at night then drive back to Minnesota on Tuesday Altoona is not far from Minnesota then on Wednesday I'm going to see Alice Cooper at the Excel Energy Center in ST Paul concert .
  11. If Renegade is having issues with the train/lift/operations will GCI come back here during this upcoming off season? I was on if for a hour this morning they had train one running is train two having mechanical issues? Renegade was running fine this morning opened right at 10am. I think the inverted should go in the back of the park they do need to develope that area. And when dinasours alive contract is up I think that's were a wing coaster could go there you have two B&Ms front of the park wing coaster take out a few parking spots use the dinasours alive land area and back of the park inverted anyone like that idea? And don't forget the CEO said all Cedar Fair parks will be getting a new dark ride location for that would be were the amphitheater currently sits I think it's going to be sooner or later before the amphitheater gets torn down for dark ride? They need to do something there when was the last time it was open Johnny Holmes band use to play there a lot how long ago was that? One other locations for new coaster were the old pinic cove sits nothing but storage there you could put a Rocky Mountain coaster there and again here Iam speculating my self lol going out ideas and Garyman6 said Frazier, Cedar Fair and Valleyfair actually reads these forums? Maybe they will put some of these ideas or anyone's ideas on a drawing board for capital expansions. As for Soak City we all know there's going to be another water park expansion in the next couple of seasons.
  12. Back at the park today my off day the coke machines aren't there anymore by the amphitheater I rode Power Tower I also notice on the Turbo Drop it likes to slow before reaching the top supposed to do that? Rode Excalibur one time this morning running kind of rough.
  13. So Frazier, Cedar Fair and Valleyfair actually reads these forums? They pay attention? When I was at Soak City Sunday right away I wanted to ride Hurricane Falls when I walked all the way to the top the lifeguard said you can't ride single I waited a few minutes to ride with a group. I think they should put a sign at the bottom of the stairs letting people know you can't ride single so you don't have to walk all the way up good idea I'm not sure if I saw signs or not? And when I was on Lazy River I notice that the lifeguards like to shake there heads a lot anyone know why they do that lol? Going under one of the bridges there was a sign posted saying don't bother lifeguards on Lazy River they need to pay attention to the water. I rode Raging Rapids two hours awsome water ride! My favorite at Soak City.
  14. I thought there was a trim on the second hill on High Roller. Sometimes when I ride High Roller seems to slow at times on the second hill. I don't feel like High Roller comes to a stop on the second hill just slows some. I was at Soak City this morning till about 2:00pm the sun finally came out got real humid. I rode the Raging Rapids two hours straight this is one of my favorite water rides awsome ride! After Soak City went into the park Renegade had the longest line only one train going on a Sunday? Wild Thing walk on no wait times along with Extreme Swing, Power Tower, Steel Venom walked right on, no wait times for northern lights and Enterprise on days like this I can see why Valleyfair wants to do more expansions the water park was busy but not the rides also this is something new over by the amphitheater they added a coke machines any reason why they put it in front of the amphitheater? the train has been closed for some sort of maintence work anyone know what's wrong with the train? It's parked by Wild Thing New coke machines by the amphitheater entrance new.
  15. I was at the park this morning riding Renegade for a hour with Mike we both notice that High Roller gotten stuck twice in one hour are there trim brakes on the second hill maybe they need to remove the trim brakes and bring back the old High Roller and bring back the air time on the hills. My count on Renegade 425 this season so far.
  16. Removal of Sky Rider at Canada's Wonderland. Removal of Thunder Road at Carowinds in July. Removal of Shockwave at Kings Dominion last ride in August farewell. New B&M Dive Machine annoucement Cedar Point in August everyone knows it's a dive machine. California Great America, Vortex getting transformed into Floorless coaster 2016. Removal of Excalibur at Valleyfair for expansion soak city water park. Maybe in August? Haven't heard what Knotts Berry Farm, Michigans Adventure is getting? Is this what we can expect from the five parks above for next year. Let's see if I get it right rumor for Valleyfair.
  17. I can say this I live really close by I have a season pass I work nights getting off work I really enjoy coming to the park for a few hours each day till one most of my time is being on Renegade for two hours in the morning till noon and riding with Mike a lot on weekends is fun to lots of re rides early in the morning. I also like the Renegade crew! And I right now I like the early rides on Extreme Swing I was there this morning rode the Extreme Swing 15 times and thanks for the ride operators you can do re rides I stayed on three times. I just want Valleyfair to start adding something new fresh every couple of years let me ask this what if Valleyfair announces a new B&M inverted for next season maybe they will surprise us will that make everyone happy? I'm going to be at soak city Sunday hot humid 92.
  18. Whats getting people upset here is that Adventureland is getting a new steel coaster with five inversions and they beet us before we got our new inverted coaster which everyone wants and the parks last coaster there was in 1993 believe long time for a new one and now this annoucement from Kings Dominion with the farewell of Shock wave leaving in August last rides and the expected annoucement from Cedar Point for the new dive machine plus the last ride on Thunder Road at Carowinds leaving in July and Sky Rider at Canada's Wonderland leaving to so is this the year for ride removals at Cedar Fair? Where does this leave Valleyfair I sometimes think left out to dry but who knows and it's our 40th anniversary next year so we have hope at least getting something and is this corporates falt not putting more money into Valleyfair or Valleyfair not adding a new attraction every couple of years along with a coaster? I think people are just upset with Adventureland getting a new steel coaster and now Shock wave leaving Kings Dominion where does this leave Valleyfair?
  19. KINGS DOMINION They are removing The Shockwave stand up Togo coaster last rides in August. Valleyfair Are we going to see any type of annoucement for the removal of Excalibur or just a rumor? Cedar Fair Is this the year for ride removals? Thunder Road at Carowinds in July. Shockwave at Kings Dominion Farewell. Excalibur at Valleyfair August? For soak city? Dive machine annoucement Cedar Point in August?
  20. One spot for the first new inverted coaster should be in the back of the park with the removal of Excalibur and the new soak city parking lot second spot for a coaster put one in the old pinic cove maybe a Rocky Mountain coaster could fit in there there's nothing but storage there third spot were the dinasours alive sits maybe a gate keeper one more area use the open land by the wave and relocate the Ferris wheel and have a coaster rap around Corkscrew and go over the Power Tower que line there are four areas of the park to build room for expansion and you could build s coaster right on the dike by High Roller. My thought I think it will be emberassing if Valleyfair doesn't add a new thrill ride and a roller coaster by 2018. My hunch Six Flags Great America will get another new coaster in two years and I have a feeling Mt Olympus might get a B&M what if they get a new B&M before Valleyfair gets one? Dollywood is getting a Rocky Mountain launch in 2016 there rumored also to get a hyper steel coaster to I'm saying Valleyfair needs to start waking up here. What's getting some people upset I think that Adventureland is getting a new steel coaster with five inversions before Valleyfair got one.
  21. Why didn't Cedar Fair at least give Geauga Lake a chance to stay open and just sell the park how much would the park be worth and give Geauga Lake a second chance to stay open? I remember back in 2009 I think Cedar Fair was going to try and sell Valleyfair but know one was interested I would rather have a company that owns Silver Dollar City and Dollywood take over Valleyfair. Before closing or downgrade a park at least give it a chance to sell in one year. Would anyone miss Cedar Fair if they were to leave and would Valleyfair be better off with a new ownership?
  22. Renegade having issues this morning was hopeing to ride it for a hour today Renegade didn't open till noon did several test runs for a half hour by noon it was open. What are those expansions going to be under Wild Thing turn around? So they already have plans for 2016?
  23. The construction along the dinasours alive fence early this summer was landscaping. Landscaping
  24. Well put it this way. For people who don't read the warning signs or don't listen to the ride operators about putting away loose articles such as hats cameras bags and phones taking pictures while the ride is in motion aren't RESPONSIBLE riders and the one's who follow the rules are RESPONSIBLE riders I was on Renegade Sunday with Mike for a while we both notice a couple of people in the front trying to put there hands out and tried to touch the wood along the S curves. What if they touch the wood and there hand gets seriously hurt trying to touch the wood while Renegade is operation is that the parks fault I wouldn't think so because they always say keep your hands and feet inside the train at all times. I've been on Wild Thing gotten stuck more for people taking out there phones to record or take photos then on Renegade and on Renegade I would think the ride ops watch the TV monitors to. Do you think most people pay attention to park rules? I think you need permission to record on rides?
  25. We can expect annoucement during the same time as Cedar Point? I would think Valleyfair would make a annoucement for the new haunt building and the removal for Excalibur and the plans for 2016. Did they get the permitts approved for the wetlands back of the park?
