  1. Does anyone think Valleyfair should have new ownership and have a Herchend Family Entertainment take over did anyone see what the rumor coaster for Dollywood is getting in 2016 possible Rocky Mountain launch wooden coaster? Maybe Valleyfair could do first of its kind a B&M launch inverted coaster in the back of the park were Excalibur sits and once the dinasours alive is up add a B&M wing coaster or dive coaster in front of the park.
  2. I'm on board about removing and to retire Excalibur look at Corkscrew on a busy weekend two trains running sometimes the line is at the end of the que with a full station Corkscrew is more popular. In Excalibur they could keep the current station and remove the second que line for Thunder Canyon and make the B&M inverted go over Thunder Canyon and go use that land down by Renegade and use that land to the left of the Renegade lift hill and make the inverted lift go over Thunder Canyon flatten out the land were Excalibur sits my idea for a inverted or next use the Excalibur land for the water park expansion of maybe put a Wind Seeker in the back of the park. Also what RCJunkie said about to sell the park didn't Cedar Fair wanted to try to sell some of its parks back in 2009 to reduce some of there debt. I thought I read an article in the star tribune about Cedar Fair wanting to sell: Valleyfair, California's Great America and Worlds of Fun but never happen. If they were going to sell Valleyfair maybe the new owners of Kennywood could pick them up or team up with Nickelodeon Universe Mall of America. I hope they don't sell Valleyfair because of platinum season pass holders with Cedar Point. One thing I also would like Valleyfair to improve on if we have to wait eight or ten years for a new roller coaster how about adding some new flat rides every couple of years? I would like to see a Larson Flyers for next season.
  3. How much would they get for Excalibur? I spoke with Mr Frazier opening weekend about a new B&M inverted he said he would get something like a Banshee having a 170 foot lift hill. When Frazier told me if we had the money he would do it something tells me Valleyfair doesnt have a lot of money or maybe they do hes keeping it a secrete. I also think Valleyfair needs a Larson Flyers are really popular rides.
  4. I was at the park at noon I was going to go this morning but the rain came down hard clouds broke up around noon. The park is not busy I went straight to High Roller walk right on empty train then went to Renegade walk on and I did a few re rides after Renegade I rode Excalibur had the train all to my self lol. Once I did a few rides I tried my first fine dining with my season pass I went to the north woods grill tried the turkey bacon wrapped its wrapped in all bacon the price for that was $14.99 was ok I payed for the drink had a 30 ounce coke was $4.59 does anyone have the souvenir bottle? You pay $10.99 then re fill for only $1.00 is it worth it? After I ate rode the Rip Tide it was humid so I wanted to get a little wet I got my pant and socks wet but not to much cool down from the humid weather I sat in the front row of Rip Tide walked right on had the ride to my self again lol after Rip Tide went to Wild Thing rode that five times and two re rides walk right on no wait times I rode Wild Thing a few times to dry off from Rip Tide and the Extreme Swing to was a walk on. On the way to Extreme Swing I saw Dave Frazier was walking around waves at me every time . Everything was a walk on.
  5. Anyone notice down in the employee parking lot there doing land clearing fresh black dirt by the tress? You can see it when your riding Renegade.
  6. I was at the park this morning Mr Frazier saw me can up to me with a nice hand shake said I remember you from last year I ask him about a lot of people been wanting a new B&M inverted coaster. I told him about having a 170 foot lift hill go over the clock tower of by the front plaza entrance he told me he likes playing Rollercoaster Tyoon lol which I also do its my favorite pc game but he said if he had the money to do it he would also said he has some plans for next year I also told him its our 40th anniversary it's always nice to say hello to Mr Frazier talks to me every time I come to the park, Also with High Roller turning 40 next year how about shutting off the trim brakes and bring back the air time on the hills I remember riding High Roller with out the trim brakes having lots of air time on the hills with out the trim brakes.
  7. RCJunkie did you notice only one que line in High Roller they took out the second one only the fast lane entrance? Also did the area were they took out the rest rooms by Mad Mouse does that corner look bigger in person are they going to have crowd problems in that area on busy days?
  8. One idea I had when I was at the park they should tear down the ampitheatre and use that land space for a B&M station and make the 170 foot lift hill go over the front entrance/plaza clock tower area and have the track go down were the dinasours alive sits. Having a inverted lift hill going over the front entrance by the clock tower would look really cool I think and then have the brake run go behind depot. Also in that space you could put a B&M dive machine there to. Take out the amiptheatre to make room for a coaster. Northern lights wasn't open right away how come it doesn't run when the track is wet? Some new flat rides I would like to see at Valleyfair: Lake Erie Eagles seems like every park has oner or maybe spin cycle ride like the one at Silverwood Theme Park or a Wind Seeker in the back of the park.
  9. Valleyfair opening day. I saw Dave Frazier at Steel Venom. I rode Steel Venom in the once in the back and once in the front running smooth also see if anyone notice once the gates close they have red and green lights by the gates I think that's something new this year. After Steel Venom rode the enterprise before the park open then went to Wild Thing. Something I notice this year Wild Thing seems a lot smoother and it also seems like the chain lift is running faster then last year see if anyone else notices to. After Wild Thing I went to High Roller they did take out a section of the que line is now shorter is there a reason why they did that because on a busy day that one que line is also going to fill fast and with High Roller if you can ride single I think they should take down the (two to a seat sign)? The re tracking on High Roller made it more smooth. After High Roller I went to look at the new slide tower really looks nice new pavement brick path one thing for another water park expansion is take out the midway games and re locate Mad Mouse some were else to make more room for the water park also were they took out the rest rooms by Mad Mouse that one corner of the park which I thought might be crowded for the walk way looks bigger in person. Finally I made it to Renegade. Renegade didn't open till 11:00am Excalibur and Thunder Canyon wasn't open yet. They also did re tracking on Renegade. I also rode Power Tower, Xtreme Swing and Corkscrew. I will be here more this opening weekend it's also going to be humid nice to see the park open.
  10. I just arrived at valleyfair one thing people might notice the parking went up from $12 to $15.00 this season nice to have the season pass free parking so far the parking lot isnt that busy.
  11. Opening Day Friday, May 15, 2015 .
  12. When's media day is it before the water park opens?
  13. So if the height restriction is in the center of the park Valleyfair could build a 301 foot wind seeker in the back of the park then? I will be there Friday opening day off season officially over. Someone is going to have to talk with Dave Frazier about a new B&M coaster for next season or a new thrill ride to or maybe give him some input or convince him.
  14. Thunderbird at Holiday World cost $22 million they also could have invested in a hyper steel coaster like Wild Thing cost at $12 million why was Thunderbird $22 million? Holiday World could have gotten a nice sized hyper coaster for that price. Its also Valleyfairs 40th anniversary next year I have a feeling they will add something. I'd like to see a giant max air thrill ride you could put it where the old chaos sits and under the Wild Thing turn around add a sling shot I also think a giant spin cycle ride like at Silverwood Theme Park will look nice at Valleyfair add some new flat rides then add a new coaster. The only one spot were they could have land space for a B&M inverted or wing will be over were the dinosaurs alive sits and keep the building entrance for the station. One other spot is they could remove the amitheatre possibly make room for a B&M station and have the lift hill go over the main entrance and have the rest of the coaster go were the dinasours alive sits.
  15. I just got my first season pass (gold pass) with the dinning. Just wondering why do you have to pay for the drink shouldn't that be included with the dinning pass? Season pass plus dinning.
  16. This will be my first season pass with the all day dining. When you order a meal do you have to pay cash for the whole meal or does the season pass take care of the cost and pays for it? I'm renewing my pass on Saturday.
  17. Would Valleyfair consider open a week before Mother's Day and the fishing opener? I'd like Valleyfair to change there opening day. They always have open on Mother's Day weekend crowds are usually light to because of the fishing opener to.
  18. On the valleyfairs web app just updated. Does anyone notice under there rides section they have a photo of a Falcons fury like at Busch gardens Tampa has but Valleyfair doesn't even have one or it looks like a wind seeker new ride for next year?
  19. Another area they could improve on is build a new first aid building maybe move that up by the front of the park. Has that first aid building been there since the park has been open? They should move mad mouse maybe put it were the supercat sits or over by the enterprise in front of the park.
  20. I took this photo this morning. Valleyfair Valleyfair
  21. Drove by the park today the new sing is turned on says see you on opening day looks nice.
  22. I just got a feeling Valleyfair is next for a full circut B&M inverted coaster. Also what if Valleyfair decides to get the inverted coaster for 2016 and maybe four years later add a new B&M wing coaster I would love to see two B&M coasters at Valleyfair.
  23. How about replacing the Wild Thing trains and adding new B&M hyper trains like Steel Dragon 200 has?
  24. I think Rip Tide is a fun ride and should stay get soaked on a hot day. Dave Frazier doesn't want to get rid of any rides. The last thing I want to see Valleyfair do is to get rid of any rides I'd like to see them add a few new flat rides next year then a new coaster in 2017. The longer we wait for a B&M inverted coaster wouldn't the price of steel keeps going up?
  25. I'm going to renew my season pass in May can you get into the park an 1/2 hour early with the Valleyfair gold plus dinning season pass or is that just for platinum pass holders only? I think they should move looping star ship over by the enterprise maybe re paint it for the water park expansion.
