  1. Looks like Universal Orlando will be adding 4,000 hotel rooms to the wet n wild spot. Plans were filed with city of Orlando.

  3. Mystic Timbers looks amazing!!! On a completely different note, have they always had the fence around the water park on the map?
  4. Coaster looks awesome! Might actually have to take the 1 1/2 drive to the beach to check it out this season!
  5. There is something about your reviews coasterbill that just make me lol. Awesome review though!!!
  6. Clearly this track is going to be for Dorneys new coaster in 1.5 million years.
  7. If anyone cares, the cars for dodgem have arrived at the park this morning. Credit to DP twitter for the photos.
  8. I thought pagoda gift shop was the main gift shop at the park? And if you take US 2 to Milan Road is pretty easy getting to the park as well from Cleveland. I have heard that using the Milan Rd exit can be a nightmare around park opening because all of the hotels in the area, the traffic from the turnpike as well as Rt. 2 all merging onto Cleveland Rd (two lane). Plus they were doing a lot of construction on it last summer - although that could (or should) very well be finished by now. If you are coming in later in the morning or afternoon, using that route shouldn't be an issue, but if trying to get in for early entry or around 10, I would highly recommend the Rye Beach Rd. exit off of Rt. 2. I was there last may and construction looked like it was pretty much done. And I never really had any problems with the traffic.
  9. This is how I think it works for Cedar Fair parks. Decisions are not made solely by the parks, but the parks have input. Yes. All parks in the company have a three-five year plan. For example, CP would be gatekeeper, Gemini midway, rougarou, valravn, and water park. Carowinds would be fury, waterpark, county fair. Robb decker is the VP of planning and design, so he plans everything for parks.
  10. Sorry to go off topic here, but does anyone know if there will be a gift shop at the exit of the ride?

  12. Went to Seaworld for my first part of the day, Sunday 26th. First time at the park since 2012, and some things have changed, but not much. Mako was wonderful. Highly enjoyed my two rides, one in the back row and one in the first row. Very fun B&m. Kraken and Manta were also enjoyable. Antarctica is absolutely well done. (Was there when construction was going.) Very cool being able to see penguins that up close. Really liked the Manatee rescue area. That was really awesome to see. Hope they add some more of those in the future. And as the shows go, they were all wonderful as well. One ocean amazing, blue horizon absolutely incredible, and Clyde and Seamore funny as always. Seaworld is still a wonderful park that deserves the love it does not get. Will be sure to visit again when I return to the Orlando area.
  13. ^^ yeah even though Disney brings that in in half a day, I would not spend 5 million dollars a mile. Even though it would be cool to see the monorail go more places.
  14. Like the idea of this. Always thought having more transportation options would be awesome there. Would adding gondolas be more cost effective than expanding the monorail line?
  15. Water park wise, I would hit up snake pit first. It's the most popular slide in the water park. Depending on how many people are in the water park, waits could be small or they could be long. Depends on crowd and weather. But definitely do snake pit first then wild water rapids, lightning falls, aqua blast and boa blasters. Some of the slides now have wait time signs on the staircase so when you are on the midway you can see how long the wait is. I know aqua blast has them and I believe some others have it as well.

  17. If that is in fact drop track being installed in the shed, it would be the best kind of 'let down' there is, another drop! The one on Verbolten is great every time IMO. Even though you don't drop far it still surprises me every time. I am hoping it is a drop section with even a little bit of SFX. I loved seeing those aerial photos, Mystic Timbers is going to be a great addition to an already stellar line up of coasters. I was about another foot or two on that drop from completely sh*tting my pants when I first rode Verbolten.
  18. Well Sunset Beach Bar was suppose to come this year, but recently, Dorney took it off their website and adding the new food offerings. But on Facebook, they said to someone that it has been postponed so technically it will be coming but not this year. So 2018 I believe is when it's going to come. So no new coaster for 2018? Sounds about right. Sounds just right. Probably 2020 if Cedar Fair remembers.......oh wait Ill leave this here..... If my math is correct, Dorney should be.... Last new coaster- 2005, hydra. This year- 2017. 2017-2005= 12 years. So, at 20 dollars a year, there will be 240 dollars in Dorneys jar right now. Basing this off of a B&M coaster, going to say the cost of said coaster will be 30,000,000 USD. 30,000,000-240($ already saved)= 29,999,760 dollars to go. 29,999,760/20(money saved per year)=1,499,988. So Dorney will not see its next new coaster for another 1,499,988 years.
  19. As amazing as the first drop is, the ending is incredible. The hill into the low to the ground turn then flying by the station and queue and going into the over banked turn is even more amazing. The ending of Millennium Force is incredible IMO. Also one of, if not my favorite endings.
  20. Fixed that for you. The park has already said that the train and carousel will be open. Im pretty sure Cedar Fair and Kings Island care about their rides Unlike a certain chain called six flags. so more than two rides can't be open?
  21. So, everyone seems to be hyping up this shed thing.... What happens if this 'whats in the shed' turns into a huge let down?
  22. So would this mean why Valleyfair, Michigan Adventure, and Dorney Park have been taking so long on cronstruction of all their coaster projects is to have it over serval fiscal periods? Exactly... Every year CF puts a $20 in the jar for these parks. They'll get their coaster soon enough If my math is correct, Dorney should be.... Last new coaster- 2005, hydra. This year- 2017. 2017-2005= 12 years. So, at 20 dollars a year, there will be 240 dollars in Dorneys jar right now.
