Why are we just thinking more time on Gatekeeper? More people in the back of the park means more time on all four B&Ms! Okay okay. Some laps will be taken on Valravn and Raptor. gotta look out for the boat -

Clearly the park is removing mean streak to add the big dipper. But really, less people in the front of the park means more laps on gatekeeper. -

Does Cedar Point still bring in a lot of Europeans to run the rides & live on-site during the year? Are they still around in October? Some of the European crews could fly, and they were often really friendly. I'd imagine there's more of a local hiring drive for Halloweekends, but surely it can't be total turnover from the usually-good regular staff. If CP internationals are anything like Valleyfair's, most leave by the end of daily operation due to work visas or schooling in their home country. There are a few that stay through til the end, but it's a small number. Why stay when they want hours but have nothing to do for most of the week? And I don't know the housing situation at Cedar Point, so I can't comment/speculate when it closes for the season--but that could be another factor. Cedar point actually gets a lot of college students for the summer. With bowling green being so close, and Michigan right there, they get a lot of those students for the summer. I'm not sure how many internationals they get. -
From what I have heard and read, the park is keeping close eyes on the storm. They are preparing for it by taking a lot of tables, trash cans, and other things like that behind scenes. "With the aforementioned hurricane watch now in effect for Orange County, Walt Disney World has deployed a number of specialty-trained Cast Members to begin what is known as a park-wide “tie down” which essentially involves removing all loose items around the parks and hotels, including trash bins, tables, chairs and anything else not firmly attached to the ground, and storing them in a secure location where they won't be blown around by the wind. In addition, anything that is loose but attached to a building (like a hanging sign or banner) is being tied down and secured with rope and zip ties (which, as you might suspect, is where this process gets its name). In addition, you'll probably see a scale back for in-park entertainment over the next few days (especially those that require any substantial props), as Disney will be putting away everything it can in preparation for the storm. " They are also letting people cancel or change their In addition, you'll probably see a scale back for in-park entertainment over the next few days (especially those that require any substantial props), as Disney will be putting away everything it can in preparation for the storm. with no fees.

OK, you win. It's being shipped to Dorney Park and is expected to open in 2018. Not as an RMC, though RMC is in charge of the relocation and re-erection effort. I can confirm this. Mean Streak will be placed in Hydra's current spot, however it's too expensive to remove Hydra, so they are simply building Mean Streak to be intertwined with Hydra. That is why they are taking it off piece by piece so reconstruction is easier. For the name, they are still deciding between Green Streak, Moldy Wood, and Hercules: The Revenge of the Revenge. That makes perfect sense. They will use the whole terrain and even the old footers in the pond from Hercules. And I would go with Hercules: The Revenge of the Revenge. -

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if they completely ripped out the coaster and built something else there. -

Could the crane be to take all of mean Streak down, use the wood to build a shed, and house the boat there during the off season? Or is KI using their shed for boat housing? -

Fixed that for you. But back in early December 2015, while the world record breaker, Valravn, was being constructed, many people were complaining shocker about people posting photos of the littlest things happen, I.e. track piece coming onto site, a bolt being tighten, the usually. So someone posted a photo from the webcam and said a long the lines of "as you can see, a boat is leaving the marina" and then that started the whole boat thing. It went on all off-season. -
