  1. I'm removing the link to the video from a few pages back. Why? The user attempts getting his videos to go viral and sadly, it is. I don't know if he gets hits when it shows up on this thread but I'd rather not bring any more attention to it. I'm not sure (but I'm pretty sure) that he could be monetizing his video. In the end, (me thinking) he is technically defaming whatever location this was at with his misleading description he's passing off as 'real.' I see it as defaming anyway.
  2. Mine would have to be actually also be Arrow's first Arrow coaster...being Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disney!
  3. First B&M coaster was Medusa at SFDK, as much as I've lived in the bay area my entire life, it's debut year, 2000.
  4. The most recent addition to Boomerang Bay was in 2007, being the Great Barrier Reef wave pool. I would love to see a few new slides in Boomerang Bay. I love what they have but I feel like they don't have enough. My Boomerang Bay visits often consist of a quick pop in and say hi to the original slides. I typically hit up Boomerang Bay as I make my loop around the park and have it 'done' within the hour.
  5. Something I saw on FB, which was posted earlier today: So an estimated couple more weeks possibly?
  6. I'm kind of thinking the same...the case of "Let's hurry up and just open the darn thing!" Time will tell. Norcal's been good at having delayed coasters this year (granted there were only 2 to open).
  7. Awesome! Now to see a video of this thing cycling! 'Tis a good thing to see on National Roller Coaster Day
  8. ^^I had actually messed with the picture ordering afterwords, trying again with another, this time a sequence/series. It appears to be in order. *Light bulb turns on above head and realized something of my doing* Here's what happened, which I'm at fault for. I had named my photos "kbf-sfmm_#" and the next one uploaded was "kbf-sfmm_###." Had I stuck with triple digits all the way through my initial renaming sequence (001, 002, etc) they would have been in order. The first 2 images had a single digit in its file name and stuck them at the end...much like in my Explorer. So yea, to me This series of photos work due to the fact that the number section on these consist of a set of 3 digits. Looking ahead, when I do my trip report (and future trip reports), I'll have to batch rename my photos so that I can keep them in order.
  9. Sorry for the double post. This round I am attempting the multi uploader on the computer and seems to have worked flawlessly! I was initially concerned on how we'd caption our photos but see that it gives us thumbnail previews of the uploaded images. My SFMM trip report (long delayed) should now be a breeze! I did notice that it did not put my images in order by name but I do see the boxes where we can put what order the images are to be. I like the fact that I can rearrange my photos as in the past I have accidentally skipped a photo and had to do an "oops, forgot this pic" to my report. YOLO! Gertrude! Ouch! My #1 steel!
  10. Testing her out from iPhone! And it appears to be in the order the photos were taken by time too!
  11. 1 year later, I have not forgotten this project. At this time I've ridden this 26 times and decided to get back on the project. Still lots to do with it and several tweaks but last night I was experimenting with something for more realistic operation. Here's a sneak peek of what I did (Shuttle coaster trick) Looking back, I'm kind of thinking my barrel roll and launch section may be a bit too long but for now, enjoy what I've got!
  12. This is getting really good...Told y'all it's GP gold in the making! And we've done struck GP gold! And apparently "Ride Operator" is an insult now.
  13. That was actually probably the BUSIEST day I saw at the park excluding Haunt. When lines spill out onto the wooden walkway for Logger's...that says a lot! Random photos from last year's AAA day...the day that you, Blue Fire Guy, joined the clan! Rapids spilling out into midway Full lot (Last year's configuration) Crazy line for Logger's And a #throwbackthursday photo, a nice getaway from the crowded paths
  14. Well, this "Saturaday" is AAA day...I mean, Saturday! If it's anything like last year, the park will be VERY BUSY...a day I'll be avoiding for sure.
  15. Pretty much that. This guy is really that stupid, and sadly I've lost a few IQ points for pointing out the obvious and giving this troll the attention he is looking for. People will go out of their way to get attention, especially if they never did get much attention in real life. Gotta love being a "Fair Ride Operator" though...I'm still ing at that And one pointed out some math equations...you may have scrambled his brain, lol! Another reasoning of being fake: no documentation of the so-called accident, and a major continuity goof. Continuity goofs happen a lot in film where something is done/removed from the shot but is mistakenly back in the next shot...being the chair that fell off but is somehow reattached to the ride. Granted this is all a single shot but you get the idea. Lazy editing in Adobe After Effects, and poor/unrealistic keyframing/animation.
  16. Glad to hear that it's testing once again. Pictures, or even better yet, a video clip of it running would be great to see!
  17. Ride op makes final call...a very safe call at that. Glad to see iRat's back up and running! Maybe I shouldn't laugh, but I am...LOL at silhouette rider with a beer belly/gut It is a perfect illustration as to why someone overweight attempting to ride would be at risk.
  18. Youtube GP...apparently I'm a ride op based on my Youtube content. Long story short: some guy comments on one of my fair compilation videos about how carnival rides are dangerous and basically trying to spread the word of a so-called death on a "Carny Star Flyer" (ARM Vertigo?) at the LA Fair. I pointed out that it was fake as...well, it's fake! Chair 'flies off' and is somehow reattached to the ride with rider on board. The guy basically claims that his uncle was killed on the ride (I take it as he must really not like his uncle?). So yea, this guy's trying to get people to spread the word on this 'death' that never made news, let alone the real world. Youtube vid: 'Tis GP gold in making
  19. ^Monte's a great ride Yea, I definitely need to ride Xcelerator again but I can easily reride Monte, just brace myself for that forceful back spike when sitting in the back seat.
  20. It looks naked without the rock theming, let alone the rest of EP's surroundings. I wonder how this BF will hold up to the original.
  21. Superman Ultinate Flight, SFDK as well...gotta end a day on a favorite!
  22. I like intense g's and airtime... Superman Ultimate Flight at SFDK is one with thigh-crushing airtime quickly transitioning to a nice session of positives as you dive down and into the bottom of non inverting loop. If a ride can make my feet go numb and I see grey spots, it's awesome. Bonus points for the ride being capable of stretching your lips
  23. Website would have most up-to-date info. Funny thing is, I've only heard about cable snapping here. I have yet to see anything from a Knott's Facebook fan page (which is always posting things everyday with park happenings.
  24. Out of the 115 rides (Still quite a bit of rides) it seems to be breaking in nicely, and the airtime feels like it's gotten more potent ever since the promo shoot back in late April. We can't forget the nice amount of positives and laterals this ride's been offering as well.
