Bought Mario & Luigi Dream Team Saturday night (e-shop, available for midnight). Loving the game so far. I've always loved the way the battle sequences worked in the M&L series as it actually takes a little skill/timing. Also, I love the games for its quirkiness.

This won't be the first Cedar Fair attraction to be moved to another state after stranding riders and possibly having crazy restrictions slammed on them in order to continue operation...(Speculation that it would cost too much on upkeep to keep Invertigo running when it was at CGA, but at least opened briefly after being down for almost a year) Yes it would suck to see it leave as I never got to try it but at the same time, I'm kind of indifferent. I can get my 'high off the ground swings' fix at SFDK as much as their tower's only half the height.

Just got back from the park a bit ago with part of the gang (Blue Fire Guy, JeffyJosephNorcal, neighbor, cousin) and had a pretty solid visit for a busy Summer Sunday. It seemed to be a bit busy due to the fact that school starts this week for many school districts and this is their final moment of fun. But that did not stop us from having a great time at the park and getting a good number of rides in as well as checking out some animals. Sadly, I couldn't find Sharknado, Sharktopus, or Ghost Shark. We rode the following: S:UF - 6x (4 10-minute waits, 2 45-minute waits...their crew still baffles me as well as the ride itself and how it produces crazy airtime) Medusa - 2x (Felt really forceless today even in the back row...Best moments were the drop, coming out the first loop, and the zero g roll) Roar - 1x (This ride has gotten really bad...like hitting constant potholes) Kong - 1x (Ka-kong! Ka-kong! Bang-ding-ow! Yup this sums up the ride and was probably my worst ride on it. Coming out the sidewinder element provided a violent shake Roadrunner Express - 1x (we had our reasons why) V2 - 1x (My neighbor wanted to punch this after last visit as she fractured her coccyx on it) We also rode Nairobi's lookout balloon...on this, originally going to each take our own balloon, Blue Fire Guy and I get assigned into the same balloon (after the ride op said 1 adult per balloon) when we decide to get this thing spinning (after getting checked) before the ride starts. As soon as we slowed down and realized the ride hadn't started, we actually felt pretty sick...and the ride hadn't even started yet. The ride itself consisted of us trying to keep the balloon oriented in 1 direction, no spinning. Also rode VooDoo where the former sludge pit is now a working fountain. This was the first time I had ever seen this function in my entire times of visiting since 1999. So yea, great day! Random tidbits: -Early morning Six Flags trivia...lady asks what the fastest coaster is in Six Flags...me thinking nation-wide I raise hand and shout "Kingda Ka" only to find out that the correct answer was Medusa. -Shark Experience conveyor not working, traffic jam in shark tunnel -Lots of crowds and people stopping right in front of us...was getting annoying and left me giving several flat tires (stepping on shoes) to members of our party. -Lots of oversized strollers to dodge -And a rude lady in an electric scooter telling everyone that "You all are going to have to go around me!" I can't stand entitled people like that. Here bright and early! My neighbor doesn't like V2 anymore...time to give it a punch! The group, at S:UF! Jeff looks completely exhausted. This ride will wake him up! WAKE UP JEFF! And then this happened...Somebody's getting a new credit today! My cousin and neighbor signed up to participate in the dolphin encounter, where they can pet and interact with dolphins. Pretty neat stuff! Cheese! Let's eat it! Back at S:UF...crowds got so busy it was time to bust out that second train! And into the butterfly room...Yup, more butterfly porn is about to happen! Control panel porn, since we're on the topic of porn. Medusa's 3rd train is getting worked on...could hear them working on it! Let's go ride this thing...why? #YOLO! That's why! Venturing into the Shark Experience to find the fabled Sharktopus, Sharknado, and Ghost Shark... But found these instead. It is Shark Week at SFDK...why no Sharktopus for shark week? The evil spinning balloon ride that left Blue Fire Guy and I completely drained and unable/unwilling to spin before the cycle even started. And I end the visit with a true Clench 'n Squish in SFDK's tram...yes, all 5 of us just made it on a single bench

I rode the front once (which was completely mind-blowing BTW) on my April trip...but I'm not going to lie...I was a bit nervous and hoping for the best when launch happened. With that said, these cables seem to be a ticking time bomb. I will still ride the front however...should be more relaxed riding the front with a fresh new cable Now, aren't these cables replaced annually (or supposed to be anyway)? Anyone know if this cable was over or nearing its end of lifetime?

Moving along my play-thru on MQ, inside Jabu Jabu's belly. Can't taking Princess Ruto be anymore annoying? I do admit, it is fun to chuck her at enemies or just to chuck her at the wall. And of course, we all know what happens en route to Jabu Jabu....King Zora...."Ouweep....Ouweep...Ouweep..."

CGA has only 1 single rider line (fused with Fast Lane) over at Delirium. Many rides though may ask for a party of 1 as you approach the station. (Can 1 person really be considered a party? Question to ponder...) I wonder if Delirium's SR line is just a test and perhaps the park will roll out more SR lines.

So was it TPS that was used to make this? If that's the case, I'm even more excited now for it to come out! It was not a game. It is 3D Studio Max. Done by the same person who did Gatekeeper and all of the *GOOD* park animations for the past decade or so. Thanks for clearing that up. -

So I finally watched the actual onride POV rendering. Granted this is only a rendering and the real thing could behave much different (much like how I didn't expect that much out of Gold Striker which actually left me surprised), the first few elements appear to feel 'floaty' up to where we hit the batwing-ish element. Batwing and upward turn (reminiscent of the upward spiral on CGA's Flight Deck) appear to pack some good continuous forces. Actually, on CGA's FD, that's the one part that causes me to gray out. The final quick helix looks to pack a bit of forces, though rather quick due to it's smaller size. All in all, this looks like it could be awesome! -

I totally dig the promo video...mainly seeing SOB crumble to the ground -

Surprisingly, it looks to have some pretty forceful spots! That 2nd vertical loop (though just a rendering) looks to be taken pretty quick. Same with batwing-ish element. -

My speakers literally exploded from the banshee-like screams. Now the video is lagging at the good stuff...ugh.. -

There's a live stream? And interestingly enough, for us West Coasters, the KI site still shows just under 3 hours. -

Anxiously we all wait...feels/reminds me of when I attended media day at CGA last year when Gold Striker was announced...the anticipation was building up and finally the curtain was pulled/removed. Just 5 more minutes, guys! Mean time to kill the time I went ahead and took care of my WCB business (flight, hotel). Calling it now...world's longest and fastest Wacky Worm! -
Well, I'm not sure what I'd choose for the park itself but song for my favorite coaster inside the park (being Gold Striker): Honestly, this theme gets me pumped up for riding (and this is one of the song selections in Gold Striker's queue actually)! I may as well choose this for my other favorite park, Knott's Berry Farm!

So it looks like these digital lockers are spreading to other Cedar Fair parks. CGA got the digital "Go-Pod" lockers as well prior to 2013 opening. Much nicer to not have to carry a key. When we did the water park, the 3 of us stuffed 3 medium-sized backpacks (stuffed with clothes), 3 pairs of shoes, and our souvenir cups in a medium locker. Wow, that was a lot of 'fluffy bunnies' in that post just now.
