  1. That's very good news! I'm headed there at the end of the month and it would suck to have both Hangtime and Xcelerator closed.
  2. That's the main issue, outdoor transmission is proven to be close to zero. Since everyone in the park has been vaccinated or has a negative test, wearing masks is pretty much pointless.
  3. Agreed, I love the Gerstlauer trains and wish they were on all of the RMCs. It's great to see IR get another train, the wait is absolutely brutal when it has one train ops. I will definitely be making another Texas trip once Aquaman and Cliffhanger are open!
  4. Not a good look to have two of the most popular rides in the park down for haunt. Hopefully they can get them back up and running soon.
  5. SFMM also gives you the same option of paying the membership up front for an entire season. Not sure why anyone would do that though as it is nearly 3x as much as the monthly cost.
  6. In the past, when you go to cancel your membership, they present you with a cheaper offer. I don't know if they will continue this practice, but it's worth a shot once your 12 months is up.
  7. This move must be part of Six Flags' plan to move people away from season passes to memberships. Personally, I like the membership, especially since they upgraded me for free bc of COVID and then gave me a giftcard for the months SFMM was closed.
  8. I couldn't agree more, every park should have a Screaming Swing and a Giant Pendulum.
  9. I think you're fine either way, but I'd do the $99 Fastlane/Frightlane as your experience will be a lot more enjoyable.
  10. I doubt it opens this year, it seems like their strategy is pushing the new rides to 2022 to boost sales for next year.
  11. With the openings for IG and Ice Breaker announced, it would make sense that Pantheon and Emperor will be announced soon. But then again, nothing Busch has done with these coasters has made much sense, so who knows!
  12. Screaming Swings are among my favorite flat rides, so I think this is a great addition to the park, especially since they got a bigger model with higher capacity!
  13. Honestly, I've ridden both TTD and Red Force and the launches don't feel that different. Maybe if you rode them back-to-back you might notice a difference, but the Red Force launch still packs plenty of punch.
  14. If you do it, I would order your Uber/Left as soon as you deplane so it's waiting for you when you get to the ride share lot. I don't think you'll have any lines that early in the morning, so 1 hour should be enough time to accomplish your ride goals.
  15. Elitch really is a terrible park and the great people of Colorado deserve so much better. My son and I visited the park a few years ago before a Broncos night game. The two coasters I was most excited to ride, Twister II and Sidewinder (Arrow shuttle loop), were both closed with no signage warning us beforehand. After waiting in a ridiculously long line for the SLC, we bought their version of Fast Lane that also included the Sling Shot and the Skycoaster. These two upcharge attractions were the highlights of our day, but we ended up waiting about an hour for each of them due to poor/slow staffing. Lucky for us both of the water rides were open as it was a very hot late August day. One bright spot was their policy of letting you take your shoes off and put them in a bin for the Disaster Canyon raft ride. We rode this several times (thanks Fast Lane thingy) and didn't have to spend the rest of the day walking around in wet socks and shoes. The shoot-the-chutes ride Shipwreck Falls had a bridge at the end a la the former Tidal Wave at my home park of SFMM. My son never got to ride Tidal Wave and spent about 30 minutes getting water-blasted on the bridge (see below), which was very entertaining for me to watch. I don't think any enthusiast would bemoan the loss of Elitch but I think the people in Denver would miss it. Their only other amusement park options (Lagoon, Worlds of Fun) are 9-10 hours away. I may try to visit once more to get the two credits I missed, but I won't be sad if I never get back there.
  16. It is National Roller Coaster day and track/supports are already on site, but then again it's Six Flags were talking about. I do miss the videos where they announced all of the parks' new rides at once. I'd watch it with my kids and we'd make plans on what SF parks we were going to hit the next year.
  17. Thanks for the trip report, this park is definitely on my list to visit. But I'll probably wait until the Triple Loop is open and the staffing levels are back to normal.
  18. It's a big mystery for all of the Busch parks. From everything I've read, they are all ready to open but Busch is just sitting on them. My guess is that they figure this year will be busy enough with all the pent up travel demand and they will open them in 2022 to drive attendance next year.
  19. Yeah, that's really the only ride that could fit in that footprint. The Freespins don't have great capacity, but then again neither did WT. However, it never has much of a line and it had a great setting right on the beach. Glad I got to ride it one last time when I went in June.
  20. MaxAir was closed all day when I visited last month. TTD was closed in the morning but opened around noon-1pm, so I would just keep a watch on it. If you see it cycling, head over and get in line.
  21. Love to see Gatekeeper back open, that's got to be the quickest I've seen a coaster re-open after a chain break.
  22. I think something similar to Cheetah Hunt would be a great addition to the park. Would definitely bridge the gap between Fire Chaser/Dragonflier and the more intense coasters in the park (LR, TT, MM).
  23. KI is probably the best CF park for FL+, you never wait more than 5-10 minutes and the lines drop you right into the stations. We had a similar experience back in October, and that was with the park still doing social distancing on the coasters.
  24. Getting the Axis coaster would certainly fit with the park's history of getting first-of-it's-kind coasters. I think the Axis coaster is a very cool concept and would love to see it at SFFT!
  25. I totally agree, I wonder if it's a cost issue or if Intamin just stopped building them? I know that Colossos had some issues (it's back open now), but El Toro/Balder/T Express have been universally praised as some of the best woodies on the planet. I'd love to see an Intamin prefab at SFFT, but I don't know how realistic that is.
