  1. It wasn't the front?? That's the only seat I'll ride it in Was not the front, but was a front car in the set. I do that for the extra leg room @ 6' 3". So, it very could have been the one Robb recommended.
  2. Advice for Scream and Riddler...front car. Just went to the park last Friday, and had great rides on both. I rode Viper too, and happened to catch a decent ride, but cant for the life of me remember where I was sitting. I too hope that the retrack on Apoc is good, as it is a fantastic layout. I really love the fly through the station!
  3. I wonder if the thoughts on X2 are effected by age. While in my 20s, and even 30s, I think I would have rode the heck out of X2. I rode this for the first time about 3 or 4 years ago...ouch! Now, at age 51, I will only ride it if my 17 Y/O daughter is with me, or I have someone with me that has never been on it. And at that, I will only ride it one time, and curse "Why the F do I do this to myself" when getting off. Taking one for the team I guess. It is too bad it is such a violent ride, as there are some great elements. I just don't like being thrashed like a rag doll in the mouth of a pit bull.
  4. Just tell them that the person in charge of complaints is Helen Waite. So...if you have a complaint.....go to Helen Waite.
  5. If there are any Ice Road Truckers fans out there....Darrell Ward died in a plane crash. Ironically enough, he was about to star in a new show about plane wreck recoveries.
  6. One time...and on Twisted Colossus! It is amazing how quiet a coaster is when you are the only one on. Back row, what a view! No screaming, yelling...quite peaceful. All by my self!!!
  7. Of course , I had to find that out today while at the park. I just don't get why they had to discontinue it. Cars go out with empty seats.
  8. Thanks! And no, I haven't eaten at Portillo's. To be honest, I rarely eat at theme parks. It is not in Knotts. It is about a mile and a half away. Italian Beef sandwiches, great burgers and hot dogs. Check it out! You will thank me later! PS..do a search here on the forum for Portillos. Many have posted.
  9. Loved the report. I have not been in a few years, and your report has given me some inspiration to get there. BTW...have you eaten at Portillo's?
  10. That is precisely it. It was somebody who spammed the forum, and Robb/Elissa or another admin deleted the messages, and the 1 new message did not reset.
  11. Probably...if you can go Labor Day Monday instead, it will be a lot less packed. I went last year on the Sunday before Labor Day, and it was pretty busy, and I heard it was not so on Labor Day. Disclaimer, this is an educated guess. Your mileage may vary. You can, and should, assess the need for a flash pass once you get there. I have never heard of them selling out.
  12. Henry, You made a great start at earning it back with your London Slide trip report. Keep up posts like that, and people will forget what a moron you have been in the past
  13. You might want to take a look at a membership instead of a season pass.
  14. I have a season membership, and go exclusively on Fridays for the most part. Spring, when spring break is over, and during fright fest. (plus some helpful Honda days during the summer) Yes, Fridays during fright fest before 4 PM is a ghost town. Great time to go. I depart when the crowds start arriving. I do think I am going to try a Sunday night this year, based on input from folks on this forum. I have yet to ride any coasters in the dark at this park. Thank you for the info.
  15. Obviously I am not Alvey, but I will chime in, as I took the same trip a few years ago. I ended up picking Hershey, mostly because of family input, and seeing a Travel Channel show that focused on Hershey. I could have done either or both, as I was in both cities during my trip. But wifey said...only one theme park I was also getting my "coaster legs" back, after almost 20 years of being away from them. Skyrush scared the hell out of me! LOL!! Now that I know a bit more about BG, there are some feelings of not being sure I picked right, but I absolutely loved Hershey Park. You will not lose either way. Perhaps something to consider...is this side trip only for the theme park? Did you want to get out and do other things in the area besides the theme park? Williamsburg has a lot of cool stuff to do if you are into colonial history. Hershey is cool as well, but not as cool as Williamsburg. I only spent one day there, but wish I could have done three! I am sure others will chime in regarding the park vs. park comparison. I just wanted to be sure you consider other things in the area as well. If you are considering more than one day, and doing other stuff, I think you should look really hard at Williamsburg.
  16. My favorite of all time. Have seen it at least 25 times, including at the theater when it came out. Do we have clearance Clarance? Roger roger!
  17. But...as somebody who has had more than one drink bottle stolen, drink holders do not prevent that. I will never leave a bottle unattended again. Cheaper to buy the all day lockers than a new drink bottle on return visits.
