  1. Gibson almost completely demolished! http://www.ushforums.com/index.php?/topic/175-the-wizarding-world-of-harry-potter/page-20
  2. -Disneyland Resort Deluxe Pass -Knotts Berry Farm Regular Pass -Six Flags Magic Mountain Gold Pass. -Universal Studios Hollywood No Blackout Pass.
  3. I like the flight dials, nice little touch.
  4. ^ Man, that sucks. I think Space Mountain is scheduled to go down for refurbishment after Halloween and be down until January. If this is the case, Christmas time at Disneyland is going to be an even bigger mess than it usually is. Oh, and Radiator Springs Racers is suppose to go down for refurbishment the week of November 4th. So that week you will have Space, Racers, and Thunder all closed.
  5. Knotts cannot remove the Mine Ride. When Cedar Fair took over Knotts back in 1997, part of the deal with the Knotts family was to preserve and maintain Ghost Town, the Mine Ride, and the Log Ride The Mine ride isn't going anywhere any time soon.
  6. ^Disney Castmembers get in free and are able to get immediate family members in for free. Disney rarely discounts 1 and 2 day single park tickets. $92 is probably the best your going to get.
  7. A regular guest cannot get in a standby line for Space Mountain and half way through the line leave and get a FastPass for Indiana Jones, then return to the same place in line at Space Mountain. This is what this DASpass virtually does, and is a big loop hole and will be exploited. DAS users will still have a big advantage over the regular guest.
  8. Good! I like everything about this new system except the ability to get a DASpass then immediately get a FastPass. After you get a DASpass you should be blocked from getting a FastPass until your DASpass return time is active. Closing that loop hole will really put an end to the GAC/DAS abuse.
  9. Looks like an re creation of Pacific Park at Santa Monica Pier.
  10. Space Mountain - Today at Disneyland.
  11. Inside Universal has posted an update: New park map showing construction barriers. Gone is Curious George, Studio Souvenirs, Flintstones Carnival Games, and Gibson Amphitheater! New temporary entrance/queue for Shrek More can be found: http://www.ushforums.com/index.php?/topic/341-september-6-2013-photo-update/#entry9533
  12. The Falls Lake, Psycho House, and War of The Worlds area of the backlot. I can't help but think, if they ever were to expand this park even further, that area of the backlot would seem to be the most obvious place to go.
  13. The biggest complaint about the new sleds is the lack of padding. The old sleds weren't the most comfortable coaster trains either, but they had more padding and gave a smoother ride. For tall people, like my self, the extreme lack of leg room is an issue. The old sleds you could sit "Indian style" or stretch your legs completely out. With the new sleds, there are now "pockets" built into the sides of each seat to put each leg in. The position that you have to put your legs in makes it a bit awkward and sometimes outright painful. I would hate to be stuck on this ride for any extended amount of time. However, the addition of a Single Rider Line more than makes up for the new sleds faults. I can't tell you how many times there has been a 40min+ wait and I've just walked right onto the ride. Its awesome!
  14. So bizarre, yet so awesome!
  15. I don't keep count of how many times I've been on particular a ride(s), but I know I've been on these rides well over 100 times: - Xcelerator at Knotts - California Screamin at DCA - Space Mountain at Disneyland - X2 at Magic Mountain - Revenge of The Mummy at Universal Studios Hollywood
  16. Construction on the Wizarding World has officially started! A very large portion of the upper lot is now behind work walls:
  17. ^They still haven't updated their website either. You would think with the announcement that Windseeker will not re open at Knotts, they would have removed it from their list of attractions by now.
  18. The park is in a better place? I disagree. GhostRider has gotten worse and worse. I would take 2004 GhostRider any day of the week over what it is today. Incomplete paint job on Xcelerator. Kingdom of The Dinosaurs building still sits abandoned. A year round park, closed only 1 day of the year, eliminating annual passes in favor of season passes that go up in price as the year progresses. The park is covered with grime. Look at Silver Bullets trains, they are disgusting. Many of the parks hand rails are rusting and in need of paint. My last visit (last week) when ever I used a hand rail to walk up and down stairs, I had to visit a restroom afterwards to wash off rust residue. Guest service has not improved since 2004. Its still about the same, which is mediocre to say the least. Eliminating themed area specific music for 80's and 90's pop music. With that being said, what they did to the Log Ride was fantastic! They took a ride that I thought was extremely over rated and turned it into a ride that lives up to its reputation. I really, REALLY hope that the Mine Ride is next. I also like that they are replacing the blacktop pathways with cobble stone or brick paths.
  19. I just want a new big coaster, I really don't care what it is. Its been 10 years since Silver Bullet, its time for a big new attraction.
  20. Could you imagine if Knotts did re open Windseeker and it got stuck again? It would be a PR nightmare. I'll miss the pretty lights, but that's about it. It was a mediocre ride at best.
