Some people read waaaaaaaaaaaaay to much into comments... This is how rumors get started As he said wait till the park tells you whats up... It should be when they start selling the next seasons passes so they can entice people in if I didn't mishear him Although if I'm not mistaken he was trying to share his observations on park industry functions... not sell season passes PLUS how could Robb not come when we all sent him so much love All in all it was a very nice relaxed day. I wasn't surprised by the crowds as it was Saturday, but I was able to ride a good amount of rides as the staff was doing an awesome job. Loved the enthusiasm I saw by the majority... if not all of the employees. I would love it if Six Flags would allow Discovery Kingdom to REALLY step up an already awesome park to show us something cool, but one can only hope. I would also like to thank Robb & Elissa for getting this organized while your off on another crazy trip adventure! Nothing, but gratitude and respect for your insane efforts!

Ever Been The Only One On A Ride?

Riddlers revenge at SFMM after tatsu media day.... Best zen ride ever! -
Ah I honestly do not really know how it works What I thought is the brakes (needing a form of stored power to use initially) stopping the train would convert the power from every wheel into one battery which could somehow be collected and used to reduce cost of running the rides... Maybe even throw it on the cars of rides like loopers at knobles which utalizes peoples energy into adding into the excitement of the ride. When it brakes in the end I would think it could be applied to collect energy the riders have put into it. I am not saying its something very economically feasible, but I was just curious to see if combined with other green sources of power if there was a way to make a very unstably powered park (youtube for loopers at knobles)

I HAEV SAVED BIG DIPPER!!!!

X^D awsome edit: almost made a big mistake on that post! -
So I searched and found a slight mention of it in another thread, but didn't really want to hijack it with random discussion.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Vfrcv8qZK0 Anyways I saw this commercial a while ago, but never heard anything about it.... While I don't think that it could sustain a whole park it does seem like a possible good way to keep the ride running on itself with a little injection of power in the morning. While a manual lift mechanism or even tugging the train up the hill for the morning test runs is not an efficient way of running a park it is one way.... The ride could even have a shelter the top of the lift hill or put a sheltered brake run after and leave the train up there for the night so it is easier to start it manually in the morning. IMO It seems possible to use this in combination with other natural forms of power like solar and wind to make a park that sustains itself with the proper weather conditions. I am curious what is everyone opinion on the idea proposed by Toyota possible or not? Any cool designs in mind for it? Or does it just FAIL for some good backed up reason?

Walmart employees fired after disarming gunman
man replied to Hydraglow's topic in Random, Random, Random
They need a hero severance or something... I am sure they will get unemployment if they try to deal with that process. I do think it is a load of crap that they can legally fire them without even paying them for the traumatic event that they had gone through, or the difficulties they are about it go through.. That's the workplace for ya! Edit: Ya know if the robber wasn't buying illegal guns from people he probably would not have to get himself into these situations. -
Oy Vey - My new comic book! - Lots of coasters!
man replied to FLIPDUDE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
AH! I AM EXCITED!!!! I will definitely be buying one of these once I get money for it! As for the imported hobos you wont feel so ritzy once it becomes as hobo filled as SF! You would be surprised how many people piss into oncoming traffic from the sidewalk AAAAAANYWAYS I am glad to see you doing something really cool with your drawing and I hope it really shoots off... You definitely have clever jokes that fit well together while staying true to the story. edit: I also like the scad tower illustration it really shows the intensity of hanging over all the major attractions... also I DON'T CLOSE MY EYES ON RIDES!!!! All good though! edit 3: All good I am looking forward to the stories and designs.... Like I said you have a good style of humor! -
I would prefer to see chaos style seating and see this thing pushed to its full potential Looks like an interesting design too bad the inner ring cant really run on a wheel and spin (say if it was flat just in a circle on the flat ground plane).

Oakwood Lake Manteca Waterslides
man replied to Goliath513's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Really old bump, but going over this I am wondering a few things thinking back to my visit here. I was fortunately able to come in the last year If the old workers here hopefully he knows my answers 1. I only remember 8 mat slides, and the two in the ground which where overgrown and old where closed. If I am not mistaken there was another one that was taken out before I got there? 2. How tall was v-max exactly? 3. When I heard about the park shutting down I was told it was due to it takeing water from the lake for the slides and they couldn't keep doing that or install water filters on the old slide. Was there any truth to that? I remember the staff where awesome at this park I was able to run around the mat area for an hour plus and it truly was a classic water park experience..... The best part are the cameras in the slide and the employees that tell you not to swear As far as the guy going down V-max I could not imagine even throwing myself down that thing (vs. gently) let alone go backwords. The tower would move gently as you made it to the top it was one of the SCARIEST slides ever, but the most amazing water park experience. I guess the best part about V-max's high was nothing else around it was very tall so you could see very far off in the distance from the top before plunging down. -
/\I bet you it was the same person/\ Really though this behavoir should not just not be tollerated at disney, but everywhere. I find it really really sad that people would think it's just another boob grab in a place like this. As I said before imagine if it was the little girl sitting there he decided to grab? In a place filled with children (im sure ones that are also unsupervised) and really a place for family and dreams... no one would want a person like that not only being in the park, but also enjoying the park. Walt Disney would be turning in his grave seeing this nightmare in his land of dreams. And trust me when I say from seeing people in my own life who are power crazy I am pretty sure this guy is as troubled, if not more, than he made that woman feel and I'm sure he had gotten himself in more trouble which he ecscaped that day. \/Theres a BIG difference between accidently rubbing ass and going for a grab. I had to see a kid I know who is falling downhill look over at a girl sitting next to him and grabbed her ass... When she was like "what the hell" and than turned away he tried again. Serriously this shit isn't funny and should not be accepted and with this im off this fucking board.\/

I wouldn't be surprised to hear of this in the city, but disneyland? C'mon some buttholes are just acting more and more rediculous each day... edit: To ginzo this made news because imagine if the daughter was the one in the seat instead of this man. What if next time someone just decides rather than a quick grope to try to do something even worse? This is a place for little innocent kids really and for someone to act not only in such a adult way, but an evil way too. It just shows how tainted things are now a days. edit:\/I agree with ajniaz.... How bout we ride haunted mansion so I can smash your nuts? Would you wanna hold onto me after?\/

I don't myself... or at least with tobacco and I haven't bought an actual true cigar. Although buddies of mine recommend romeo y juliet. If you don't mind rolling up your own tobacco cigar you should definitely try the zig zag cigar wraps. There very good tobacco sheets and also pretty clean for what it is.

Original Flatrides using Autodesk Inventor.
man replied to A.J.'s topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Aj You got a really good eye for rides! and a really sweet model :O IMO Freespinnig rides always seem to be the most fun Although it actually looks like a offspring of a power surge and remix.. Dervish didn,t free spin and was able to roll on the ground. It was an intersting ride, but haveing to ride with gp made it.... sort of painfull They are all really good rides! -
Awsomeness good pictures Was a great day! SFDK people you totally rocked!

Bay Area Bash! Six Flags Discovery Kingdom!
man replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That was a good online asswhooping I gotta say that 15 minutes is damn good at least your not running the morning marathon to get to the only crowded coaster in the park :/ (Well... I actually have not gone this season yet with the new ride and all). Anyways all I'm saying is that this looks like a better event with each comming day and it's a shame people are making robb explain his own kindness & efforts [which takes more effort : /] Dont forget there is also a life he has to live that's not TPR (:O scary I know!) Anyways gonna say it again thanks for makeing an event up in this part of cali! -
