I've heard if a Chinese restaurant doesnt have ducks and chickens hanging in the window, it isn't authentic Chinese food lol -
It's ironic that people expect BGW or CP level quality all while paying $6-7 a month for a membership. It's like buying a Nissan Versa and complaining that the fit and finish isnt Lexus-like. And I'm aware other SF parks might be cleaner and better maintained than MM, but keep in mind MM also more than likely has the most overhead. Being a year round park and being in California; with crazy tax and insurance rates. Their fire insurance alone being located on a hill in Cali must be through the roof I don't think the uppers at MM sit around a table thinking, "how can we make this park as disgusting as possible?" Theyre given a budget and are required to stay within those constraints. Do i think MM could improve?? Of course, drastically so! I'm not defending the park's shortcommings. But I'm realistic and go to the park without unrealistic expectations.

Maalox would be a good start -
It's just that time of year when they do annual maintenance, also construction. According to different blogs, here are the reasons for two of the ride closures: Tatsu - lift hill chain replacement Riddler's Revenge - Repaint with JL construction People fault MM for everything, even when they're doing required maintenance

Why are coaster enthusiasts weird?
Superbatboy replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think the B.O. is just associated with coaster nerds, there are just some really disgusting people out there. I remember once I was in line behind this guy at Sprouts grocery store, who ironically was buying ALL this healthy s***. He literally smelled like a moldy mop, soaked in p*ss and onion juice. -
Crazy to think that between Knott's and SFMM, the former is more likely to receive a giga coaster. Even though SFMM would, IMO, benefit greater from having a giga, since they cater to a pure thrill seeking demo. Knott's has proven over the last decade that they dont need high thrill coasters to get patrons through the turnstiles. While SFMM's attendance trends downward or stays flat in the years they dont open major attractions. Six Flags Inc. may want to pump the brakes on their miserly ways for a second and realize a giga at MM is worth the investment. You can't be the "thrill capital of the world" and have a park 60 miles south, known as a family park, have a ride bigger and badder than anything in your collection. I miss the days when Six Flags were braggarts and wanted to outdo everyone

Track Spottings!

Is that wing coaster track? Looks smallish to be for a dive. Love the colors though -
I had both X-Flight and Superman Ultimate Flight as candidates to be cloned all over Six Flags. There were also rumors of SFGAM's Goliath being cloned. Interesting how none came to fruition. Six Flags must be getting an incredible deal on those 4D free spins, cant help but think they might be installed at EVERY Six Flags park except for MM and maybe Great Escape.
