Who remembers the good ole days of when we were convinced we wouldn't be seeing a launched B&M for a LONG time? Now B&M has just gone up a level in terms of how much I like them. They now are manufacturing almost every single coaster type. They've mos recently added giga, family, and now launched. I hope it works out well for them. And lets hope that there aren't any problems with tightening best restraints. I'm also interested in hearing how people will like the voyage now that it has track flying over part of it. That, and the new view to look at from the top. -

Really cool looki coaster. I totally called the orange track! The coaster looks cool, hope it roars. I also like how the dog goes off before the launch. The theming looks cool. Interesting name though. I was expecting a two syllable name. The _____. Like you have voyage raven and legend that all had two syllables so interesting that they broke the streak. I honestly don't care though the one thing though that I thought was interesting was the choice of color for the trains. I don't think I would've chosen that color scheme. Besides all that, I have more positive things to say than negative. This will he a Great addition. Launch, inversions, and different seating style. Perfect. -

The returning makes perfect sense. That's good for the park. And assuming we do get the mad racers and that slide complex like snake pit, then I think they both should go in the back of the section of the water park. I won't cry if shoot the curl has to leave but I'd rather see them remove nothing. -

Indoor drop tower? The reason i'm skeptical about a dark ride is because get have the Hershey chocolate your just outside the park. But if they did a completely different theme with more fast moving sections then I could completely understand that. -

^ I think that probably is the clue there. I wouldn't have caught that. Good job! And man tomorrow night is gonna be hype. -

Ya know, I won't have a problem if its a wing rider. It's something very different from what the park currently has, and if you throw in a launch in there, then that certainly will separate it from the other wing coasters. And in combination with inversions, i'm sure it will rock. -

My wish list of slides? I expect at most 2 complexes, so a few of these could potentially be combined into one complex. -bowl slide -floor drop body slide(whatever that's called) -mat racer -a slide that includes a "wave" at a steep angle (hope you know what i'm talkin about) I figure the map racers could go in the shoot the curl spot and the complex could go back behind rebel yell and that could probably include almost all of those slide types in one complex. Dorney park did that well with snake pit. -

I won't really miss shoot the curl. It's pretty much just a shorter version Of pipeline peak. I always thought It was kind of pointless and redundant. -

Well, that's your opinion... I liked skyrush, and it makes my top 10, but for me i305 is better. -

I do like rebel yell. Good airtime. Dominator honestly i'm not a fan of. Grizzly is ok. Flight of fear is good, I guess. Nothing to shout at. I do love the drop tower though. -
I don't know if it's possible, but that would go in line with that speculated indoor attraction at SFOT. Removing an indoor and gaining an indoor? But also thinking out loud, would SF seriously install 2 coasters in the same year at the two Six Flags parks in Texas? Of course, that's assuming that that's what SFOT has up its sleeve, which is still speculation at this Point.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
CPSFMMCW replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
KD's lineup is definitely just "average" with the exception of volcano and i305. I'm strongly hoping for a B&M hyper in the future. That'd really give them something that would really finalize that "Big 3." Not only that, but unlike this whole B&M Hyper/Giga in the same park, it would actually work at KD because i305 is nothing like a hyper. Personally, I think its marketable, I just don't think its likely. Its just wishful thinking. ALTHOUGH! Here's something that I bet not too many people have thought of. So a while ago Cedar Fair said that they were trying to decide whether to pour a bunch of money into Carowinds OR Kings Dominion. And on top of that, knowing how long it takes to plan out a coaster, don't you think that that means that CF had started planning some attractions that would further improve KD? When they decided to choose Carowinds, it probably means that they put some of those plans on hold. And knowing how the Carowinds expansion is going, I'm betting that a water park expansion was part of those KD possible expansion plans. But because thats not as costly as a coaster, that's probably still gonna happen. So after this whole Carowinds expansion thing is finished, KD can probably go back to those plans for that coaster. So if you use that logic, then they probably will be getting an awesome new coaster in the future. Probably just not next year. ^ Hope that actually makes sense and that's not just me rambling... -
I think that 2 month problem with Intimidator 305 ended their relationship. I expect they like their coasters, but just have beef with them for the issues and maintenance that come with their coasters. After that i305 cable lift issue, I think they said we need a break from them for a while until they fix their problems.

I'll second that Storm Runner is just really weird. And I personally wasn't a huge fan of that ending, but I did think the coaster had a shakiness to it, much more noticeable during those inversions. -

thats pretty much my guess. I'll also throw in there that it will cross over the voyage. And I'm still betting on that Orange track that we saw at the B&M plant. With that, I'll say yellow support. Thats my final prediction. -

backlot isn't going anywhere. Its one of the coasters in the park that everyone in the family will like. Its pretty much Backlot and Avalanche, so if you remove one, you will get complaints. Plus it gets popular, and it can get a long line. -

Hello King James! I like your new green color scheme! And this was a while back, but remember that guy that posted on this forum a couple months ago saying that he claimed he knew what was coming to Cedar Point, and that it will involve a change in mantis for the better? He said something like that. But anyway, no one believed him really. It looks like he might end up being right after all. -
aw man, I was just at Ober Gatlinburg! Man, as soon as I leave and won't be coming back, they decide to build an alpine coaster? So including the goat coaster at goats on the roof, that means there will be 3 alpine coasters in the same general area. Why does everything happen when I leave? But, good for Ober Gatlinburg. This will fit perfectly with their terrain and their current alpine slide.
