  1. I can't remember where it was posted but in an interview Jason McClure said himself that their will be an announcement in August. If it is a new coaster (let's be real we all think it is) that's when it'll be announced.
  2. I think it's been every 10 days or so. I wasn't counting, but they did start with two and have been adding 2 at a time each time.
  3. Iron Dragom update: I've seen maintenance on Iron Dragon nearly every day working on it. But today I saw them lowering a new chain onto the ride. So hopefully we'll have it up and running soon! In other news two more rides were put up on the wall! Millennium Force & Wicked Twister
  4. I'm not a local to this park but I would wait. I always wait until I got to the park and judge the crowds and I'm glad I didn't buy one on my visit.
  5. My trip report won't be coming for a few more days but I had an absolute blast visiting Great America two days ago. The park was DEAD so I didn't need to purchase a flashpass. I got a ton of rides in. I rode just about everything in the park twice except on Superman which I rode 10 times, I rode Batman 12 times. And thanks to the single rider line I was able to ride Goliath 17 times! On Goliath I was lucky enough to get first train of the day in the front seat and I also rode last train of the night. It was a very successful trip!
  6. I've also been taking photos my entire day here today. It's been a blast so far! The crowds are so light that I've gotten 25 total rides in and the park is still open for 6 more hours!
  7. ^Thats one of the big reasons I'm gunning for a flash pass at this park. I've heard you can't really enjoy your day here with hot one. There's a light rain right now and rain in the forecast for nearly the whole day. So maybe I'll luck out with light crowds. And hopefully rides still are still running.
  8. ^I haven't ridden superman yet, but I have ridden Manta at SWO and after that pretzel loops became my favorite type of inversion! So get stoked! I'll have a full trip report coming of this park. Even though I'm at something like 18 parks. I haven't been to a Six Flags park before (discount those 4 years Geauga Lake was a six flags park, plus that was over 10 years ago). So I'm excited to compare them to the rest.
  9. Thanks, I've been in Chicago for a few days now and can see Grear America from my room. The excitement is getting to that I'm gonna get to go and ride my first RMC!
  10. I don't have a problem with waiting in lines. It's that I'm only visiting this park 1 time in the foreseeable future right now. Like someone else said the parks I frequent the most, (CP & KI) I don't by Fast Lane, because over the course of the season I'll get plenty of rides. But for 1 visit I want o get in as much as possible. Also all I do at parks is ride coasters, I don't watch shows or play any games. I just ride the coasters as many times as possible. While for some it's just fun riding rides but I LOVE riding coasters. So if all I gotta do is drop $115 for a flash pass. I'm in. And I'm heading to the park solo tomorrow, at the young age of 22 I don't have to worry about buying a whole family tickets. Question for locals. I'll be there before opening and I'll be sprinting to Goliath First. I realize the park layout splits at the front. Is it correct that I go to the right to get to Goliath faster?
  11. ^edited my post right before you commented. I liked it. Now the operations here on the other hand make me want to puke how bad they are. I remember reading one of the rides here didn't let kids under 18 sit in the back seat. Was that Cyclops? I don't see a sign but the last car has been taken off the train. Even with that the airtime in the back was awesome!
  12. I made a last minute trip to Mt. Olympus! Hades 360 is a wonderful ride. Sure it wasn't smooth. But the tunnel was pitch black and it had plenty of air-time and twistys!
  13. I guess it just all depends on the kind of person you are. For myself, I know the guilt of spending that much money would ruin my day more than any lines ever could... Haha I'm one of those guys that will go ride each ride 15 times (or more) in a day if I can. Save for days I've lucked out visiting parks on off days I'll always spring for skip the line passes.
  14. Thank you! I'm visiting on Thursday and I'm so happy to see this. On the flash pass talk, this Thursday if any of the big rides are more than a walk on wait I'm springing for a platinum flash pass. I've never visited this park before and I'm sure I won't be back anytime soon. So I'm splurging to enjoy the day.
  15. Any word on Goliath? I'm going to the park on Thursday and would be pretty disappointed if it's not running.
  16. Two more rides are up! Raptor & Woodstock Express
  17. I had the greatest lead up to 100. #98 The Raven, #99 The Legend leading up to #100 The Voyage!
  18. Holy crap, that guy's on the boards? I just came here to post about him. He's awesome. Thank you so much guys! I had a blast speiling at coastermanaia!
  19. Two more coasters added to the wall today! Magnum XL-200 & Mean Streak!
  20. The forecast says "Chance of a Thunderstorm" all week, not rain. That usually means sunny almost all day with one passing storm during the day, and probably lower crowd levels and shorter lines. Low winds too... looks like great weather to me. I can only hope. But it's looking worse than just one passing mild storm at this point. Then again it's 5 days out. Weather always worries me when I go on trips, it's a disease You can't trust the Sandusky weather at all, since Cedar Point is pretty far away from the main land the the city of Sandusky and the peninsula will get different weather. Like today, weather said 70% chance of rain all day and while we did get one downpour for about 20 minutes the rest of the day has been clear. While looking across the bay we could see rain clouds over the main land.
  21. Preach. And that snap into the brake run is the best thing ever.
  22. Yes, I'll add to please read this. Geauga Lake was my home park, and people I talk to still talk about how they wish it was there all the time.
  23. Thanks for all of the advise! I don't plan on watching any shows but I will go and ride Revolution (was already gonna hit all the coasters). Oh here's a question, can you ride Little Dipper without a child?
  24. It's interesting hearing the very mixed reviews about this park, I'm heading to Chicago on June 24th and since I'll be so close I'll be heading to Great America on June 25th. Trying to make the best of our time my friend & I budgeted out to get platinum flash passes even if it's only one reservation for Goliath. Any advise on tackling the park, other than b-lining straight for Goliath first thing in the morning?
  25. It was great reading your trip report. I'm so happy to hear you had a great time at Cedar Point!
