  1. ^^I think that S-Curve might be chock-full of positive g's, but other than that, I don't think it will be super forceful. But who knows, fingers crossed that it will be as forceful as people make Banshee out to be.
  2. That's interesting. Maybe Skyrider won't be scrapped after all.
  3. So, for those who have ridden it recently, how is that head chopper on the Voyage? With TB there, it seems like it'd be insane.
  4. Anyone here been on Arkham Asylum: Shock Therapy? It uses KumbaK trains. They look like they give to head banging in the back, but not the side-to-side headbanging found on most SLC's. Are they any better than Vekoma's new trains?
  5. ^Maybe it can operate because most of it is indoors? With B&M's track record for being reliable, you'd think they'd be able to build something to handle cold weather.
  6. Great report! Hershey is a place my family has been wondering whether or not we should go. I'd love to, but I'm going to be stuck in Charlotte riding Fury 325 next season (which is not a bad thing). Can't wait for your next report!
  7. Was it your first visit to the park? With Fury 325 coming next year, I doubt it will be your last.
  8. That first picture though....... Thunderbird is bigger than I thought. Great report!
  9. That's terrible! I loved this park. I mean, Valley Hills will be my TPR #1, but Wild Northwest was a close second. Oh well...
  10. Carowinds all the way! Just a 45-min drive on the NC Side.
  11. LOLNO! Still, that doesn't mean it won't be a fun ride. Sure, Banshee has force (from what I've heard), but Banshee is not a Wing coaster. I think B&M still has the potential to make forceful rides, I just don't think Thunderbird will pull the g's that the old-school inverts pulled.
  12. I don't know why I found this to be funny....... Great report so far!
  13. ^i really feel that Ziz is too obvious of a name. I think it might be a Wing coaster, but I don't think that CW will use it.
  14. What I want to know is: Why was she at an amusement park in the first place?
  15. Looks like the break run's finished! I wouldn't expect much work tomorrow since the park will be open for SCarowinds. Next week, I think they'll start the lift hill! They are moving pretty fast ever since Monday.
  16. Someone forgot that enthusiasts hate B&M now.
  17. 1. Inverted- I've only been on two (Afterburn & Alpengeist), and Afterburn is my favorite. I just love that "yank" it has on the first drop. Alpengeist is a bit on the forceless side, but makes up for it with it's incredible speed. I think the reason I like Afterburn better is because of it's re-rideability and forces but Alpengeist felt more like a one-time thing. 2. Hypers- I love the seating, the sustained floater air, and awesome drops. Even my least favorite, Apollo's Chariot (I know, I know, sat in the middle) has a pretty good drop. That tunnel before the 3rd hill is an incredible head-chopper. I couldn't put my hands down even when I tried. The rest of the ride was meh, but I liked that drop back into the trench which really surprised me. My favorite two are tied (Intimidator & Goliath @ SFOG), and Intimidator has a slight edge just for the open-air seating and smoothness. Goliath had a bad rattle, but it made up for it with it's incredible airtime and forceful helix. 3. Dive Machines- I think I might just like these for the first drop, but they are breathtaking. If Griffon is anything like Sheikra or Oblivion, I've got to make it out to Florida and England soon. 4. Flying- I really liked S:UF at SFOG. It uses the terrain to it's advantage, making it the best of the 3 Superman clones. It has a forceful pretzel loop, and I like the gliding through the rest of the course. It's right outside of my top 10 steel. 5. Stand-Up- I've only been on Vortex at Carowinds, and it has some decent forces. I only get a bit of head-banging on these, I don't have the problems that most guys complain about saying that their goodies hurt.
  18. I wonder what the theme of the dark ride will be. Hopefully they can call Garner-Holt up again and Triotech.
  19. ^^ Maze waits are usually no longer than 30 minutes. Expect the longest waits for Cornstalkers, Zombie High and Last Laff. Especially Cornstalkers. ^I think the tickets online are cheaper than the ones sold at the park. I usually have a season pass so honestly, I have no idea.
  20. I think the logical addition for the park would be the world's first launched-aquatrax. Isn't it obvious?
  21. Awesome! I used to watch a lot of anime, and Evangelion was one I really wanted to see.
  22. Glad to see this park's still alive. For next year, I think there will be a flat ride of some kind.
