The first thing I knew I wanted was a Mine Train, mainly because most (if not all) Six Flags has one. Since we no longer have the blessings of Arrow, I contacted Vekoma to see what they could come up with. It didn't take them long to draw up the Miami Goldrusher. Its terrain based, with two lift hills and an underground tunnel finale. Goldrusher has 4 trains with an immaculate blocking system that took ALOT of thought. Vekoma Custom Mine Train 6,155 Feet of track Max Speed - 54 MPH Over 3 minutes of ride time Family Coaster Terrain Tunnel 4 Trains – 6 Cars per train – 4 passengers per car – 24 Guests per train The Entrance to the Miami Goldrusher. A train cresting the first lift, which leads into a gental drop followed by a few helixes and bunny hops. After climbing the second lift, Goldrusher gets a little more exciting. Heres a better of view of the ride after Lift 2. And finally, the train pops out from underground and safely into the brake run.

Just an update of what I have in store for you guys... and this screenshot was taken before the park was open to the public.

So, like the rest of you, This Pandemic had me stuck in the house, bored, and sad because all of the parks closed down. So one day I decided to open up RCT2 and see what I could come up with. I started with the scenario editor and after like a week, I decided that I was satisfied. I then thought about which state didn't have a Six-Flags Park, and eventually my mind decided on Miami. I wanted something that rolled of the tongue easily. So after another 2 weeks, I had pretty much finished up the first few rides and started on the paths and the landscaping, theming etc. I knew I wanted specific rides and ride types and the ideas came as I played. I wish I could remember the exact date I started the park but I forgot to write it down. So since I have opened the park, I decided to go ahead and make a thread. I will post more updates soon, I just have to get the screenshots organized and the descriptions for each. So Ladies and Gentleman, Welcome to Six Flags Miami! The Logo... Imma eventually make another one but this one was quick and easy. The Entrance Plaza while the park was still closed.

Considering that they stopped trying to take my $25 membership fee... They are definitely reopening and honoring the free months they promised.

Would Orion at Kings Island count? I mean... It is built, and has been testing. But unfortunately no one has ridden it yet.

Six Flags has a ‘level’ system they use to determine what rides close during different weather events. A light sprinkle wont cause any rides to close but steady rain will call for a closure of the Level A rides. Taller rides and coasters with uncovered brake runs are Level A. So Goliath, Twisted Cyclone, Mind Bender, Dare Devil Dive, Scorcher, Superman, and Acrophobia will all go down if steady rain is approaching the area. Batman will run in the rain since the brakes are completely covered, but if the rain gets heavy they will close it. Monster Mansion is at the bottom of the list, and it will only close if there’s a strong storm approaching - as lightning has the potential to cut the power in the park, causing mass evacuations if guests onboard. Justice League is a little strange considering it’s indoors. I believe there are some leaks in the building structure. I say this because it also closes when there is heavy rain. I’m assuming they dont want to mix the rain with all of the electronics controlling the ride - which makes sense. The good thing about the rain is that it will keep the crowds away. If the park is busy and it starts to rain, alot of people will leave - giving you total walk-on’s once the weather passes. Unfortunately though, there’s a down side to that. If the park isn’t busy and the radar shows a substantial amount of rain - they’ll announce that the park will close early. Good luck on your trip! I hope this information helps!

I just got home from a pretty decent night at the park. I decided to go around 7pm and arrived at 7:30pm. There was no wait to get in but the entrance plaza/midway was a little crowded. Although the park was slightly crowded, the lines were minimal. The longest line I saw was for Monster Mansion, which had a half-filled queue house. Superman’s line was at the bottom of the steps and they were only running one train, with the 2nd train parked in the adjacent station. I think we waited maybe 30 minutes for a back row ride. We could see people waiting in the Justice League queue as we walked past so we decided to skip it. We waited 2 cycles for a back row ride on Twisted Cyclone and then headed to Acrophobia where we only waited for one cycle before we boarded. The rotation feature was turned off tonight too, which changes the ride experience IMO. Goliath had a station wait and we ran down to Gotham in an attempt to get a lap on Batman before closing. We failed... but not because the park had closed. Two security guards were posted at the entrance and the chain was up - and it was only 9:55pm. I’m not sure why they closed the line early but there was nothing left to do except power walk over to Mind Bender. Fortunately we were the last group of people allowed to enter the queue and we were on the last train of the night. For a Saturday night, I am satisfied with my HITP visit - with the exception of the missing Batman lap. The lights and decorations were beautiful and I noticed alot of differences in terms of the decorations from last year. I also noticed the Joker’s Funhouse Coaster train valleyed in the tunnel section - which probably explained why it was closed. The Railroad was not running and Sky Screamer, Blue Hawk, and GASM will be closed for the rest of the season. Oh!!! They are retracking the first drop and the 90 degree turn on GASM!! As we were exiting Superman, I noticed that the track appeared to be missing. I walked up to get a closer look and my hopes were confirmed! Looks like we have something else to look forward to for 2020!! It appears that Goliath will receive a new coat of paint for the 2020 season as well! As I was walking to the front gate, I noticed that the supports ‘outside’ looked a bit brighter than I remembered. It looks like they painted those supports ahead of time - maybe to test the color scheme. Whatever the case maybe, there is definitely fresh paint on the supports. Superman also looked to have a fresh coat of paint on the supports. There are empty pallets behind Mind Benders transfer shed, and the ‘old’ second train has been taken apart. Its was sitting in front of the shed. I couldn’t get a look of the New Revolution train as the transfer shed was sealed shut - but it’s definitely on the track at this point. I didn’t get many pictures because it was dark BUT I plan on going back next weekend for some daytime photo ops. Doesn’t that paint look fresh? GASM retracking confirmed!!

I sure hope not! Six Flags has been installing Freespins for a while now. Considering that SFOG was one of the ‘original’ parks, I don’t see us getting a Freespin since we haven’t gotten one after all this time. A decent compact launched coaster would not only fit that area, but I’m 100% sure it would get a better appreciation than a Freespin would. Maxx Force was an instant hit so I’m hoping that the Six Flags executives are in contact with Premier Rides to bring something similar to SFOG in the next few years.

I don't know what the deal was but when I went to the park on Sunday (9/8) it was PACKED. Twisted Cyclone was closed all day (or atleast from noon when I arrived till about 4pm when I left). Acrophobia went down as I was in line and it also stayed closed for the rest of the day. As I was leaving, I saw maintenance riding the catch-car up to the top. Considering how hot it was, I believe something up there may have overheated. The SFRR was still closed as well. Spinsanity was closed with a sign mentioning the two attractions coming to Gotham City next year. The seats were also removed. This confused me since I thought the rides were going in the Axis Arena's area. We only rode Batman and Goliath before the heat became too much to handle. There also was alot of confusion when trying to get food. If anyone plans on upgrading or adding perks onto their passes or memberships, make sure you go to the gate afterwards to have your pass scanned before attempting to use any of the add-ons. Especially the dining plans. There were guests constantly holding up the lines because their dining plans weren't activated. If a pass is not scanned at the gate, you can't use the pass in the park. And arguing with the cashier isn't going to make the pass work. I'm surprised that they weren't told to have the pass scanned at the gate while they were getting it processed. When I upgraded my membership, that was one of the first things I was told. I didn't make it to the back of the park but I'm sure it was crowded back there as well. I knew it was going to be an upsetting day when I saw the queue house for Monster Mansion almost completely full.

^ The Log Flume also has an on-ride photo. Superman had one at the bottom of the pretzel loop but they removed it - probably because they weren’t selling many photos. Batman also had one for like one year, maybe two. During my Ride-Op days I was convinced that alot of guests leave their brains in the parking lot. No matter how many times they repeat ‘Do not pull down’ or ‘Do not sit or stand on the handrails’ those words go in one ear and come right out of the other one. And then they are usually the main ones to complain about the long lines. Smh

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I wonder if 'Swamp Water Jack' will return as well? I loved that dude! Anyone else remember him?? --While I have mixed feelings about our two upcoming attractions, I am happy we are not getting a 4D Free-Spin. Someone asked if the scrambler is the one they used for Shake'm (Shake, Rattle & Roll's nickname for employees). My guess is yes, especially considering the fact that I saw a couple of boats from Splash Waterfalls in the 'boneyard' during my last visit. I believe one of Free Fall's cars is back there too. I'm assuming that they tried to sell it and couldn't, so they made the best out of the situation and gave us 2 'new' rides instead of one. It would be nice if they enclosed it again and gave us a 'green' theme to go with it, but thats asking for too much from Six Flags. This upgraded version of The Wheelie sounds like fun though. I wasn't a big fan of The Wheelie but it was a classic and I'm sure it's going to be loved by those that rode 'the original'. I can't wait to give it a spin (no pun intended). With that being said... I feel some type of way about the Axis Arena going away. Although they haven't used it as intended for atleast a decade, I did enjoy the Fright Fest use of it. It's going to be a little sad for me not to walk through it this year but it is what it is. NOW.. If Six Flags really want's to impress us, I say they should bring Batman back to its former glory. I'm talking opening day! The chasing lights in the floor as the train is being dispatched, the 'dispatch tune' that used to play as the floor dropped, the mist spraying from the sides as the train is being advanced back into the station, the police car returning, and fixing the spinning fan with the lights behind it in the queue. These things made our Batman stand out from the rest of the clones. I'm sure it wont happen but it would be a a nice 'surprise' along with the Gotham City additions.

What didn’t suck was the ability to get wet on a hot Georgia summer day, without having to wait in line. I have memories from my years as a youth - standing on that bridge with a big smile on my face as the boats approached the drop. Im sure there are several long-term Georgia residents who have the same memories. No other ride in the park offered that experience. It may have been a ‘cloned’ ride but it was a ‘cloned’ ride that satisfied - Which is why it was there for as long as it was. Im sad to see it go.

^I really hope that isn’t gonna be what we get next year. I feel like SFOG (being one of the first Six Flags parks) should get something out of the ordinary to replace such a classic ride in the park. We have all the other ‘cloned’ attractions at this point - even one other parks dont have (Superman). With the removal of Splash, we are missing another major water ride. BUT a good, compact launched coaster would round out our coaster lineup. I guess we’ll find out in a couple of months.

It appears that Acrophobia is having more extended down time. Its been closed all day for my last 3 visits. With the storms we had a couple weeks ago, I think it may have been struck by lightning. They have also added covering/shade to Pandemonium’s ‘uncovered’ section of the queue. I really wish people would listen to the ride op and NOT attempt to pull down on their shoulder harnesses. Not only does it slow down the loading process but I think it causes the ride computer to hickup as well. The last time I rode it someone pulled theirs down and moments later everyone had to unload and maintenance had to be called. They literally repeat ‘DO NOT PULL DOWN’ multiple times before each cycle and someone always does it. Smh

1. Sunday and Monday are usually the light days in terms of crowds so I would suggest waiting until you are at the park to decide on a Flash Pass or not. And the prices fluctuate day by day so I definitely don't suggest purchasing a Flash Pass online to ANYONE! 2. Dare Devil Dive, Twisted Cyclone, and Superman Ultimate Flight (not necessarily in that order) will have the longest lines for sure. Since you are using your skip-the-lines for Dare Devil Dive, I would suggest hitting Twisted Cyclone first and then making a bee-line for Superman (as it is all the way in the back of the park). Then hit Dare Devil Dive as you reach that section of the park. 3. Macho Nacho is a must have everytime I visit, but there's this new spot called Strutters that I've heard some pretty good reviews about. Its across from the Dahlonega Mine Train and the Membership Lounge. I plan on trying them out next month and giving my own personal review. 4. I personally prefer the back row on EVERYTHING! Lol. Even the Great American Scream Machine (which is pretty much the 'roughest' and one of the oldest rides in the park). I hope this helps and I hope that you guys have fun! My next park will be my home park - Six Flags Over Georgia. I haven't been this season due to my health BUT I'm feeling (and looking) alot better so I will be making my first visit sometime next month. I'm just hoping that it cools down a little bit between now and then because these current temps are BRUTAL!

AAAAaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! The Viper!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember riding over and over and over and over again because there was NO line. I never understood it, but I didn't complain. In the year 2000 my mom bought me a season pass and she took me, my cousin (who is 2 days older than me... LITERALLY TWO days. --Him - 9/4/85 -- Me 9/6/85--) and a few of my friends to the park for my 15th birthday. I'll never forget it because I slipped up and said the word "h0es" while my mom was video taping me outside of the front gate. Anyway... That day we rode The Viper 10 (YES I SAID TEN!) times without getting off!! My head was a spinning mess by the time we left the back side of the park but I didn't care. I think it was something about going backwards at a high rate of speed. That would make sense since Deja Vu became my new #1 in the park the very next year when it opened. Another GEM gone too soon.

Last nights visit was nothing short of GREAT! The atmosphere was amazing, the weather was nice (chilly, but not cold enough where I couldn't enjoy the rides), and everything was basically a walk on! I didn't even stop by the flash pass office to get my two skip passes. I have to give it to the decoration team too! All the lights were so beautiful! I dont think I stopped smiling last night. Christmas lights are my weakness. LOL My only disappointment last night was Monster Mansion. Many of the effects weren't working for some reason. I immediately noticed that the little guy that usually flies above your head as you enter the main show building wasn't moving at all. The show also seemed out of sync. Billy Bob's 'Stay out of the Marsh' warning didn't start until we were already going up the lift. We also didn't get the air-horn treatment at the end. I know this seems silly to complain about but Monster Mansion is one of my favorite dark rides so it saddens me to see them neglecting it. Anyway, I only spent a couple of hours in the park but I was able to get on everything I wanted to ride so I was satisfied! I didn't make it back to the Metropolis Park area but i'll be sure to check it out when I return. And yes, I WILL be returning before Holiday in the Park is over. --Ride Count-- Scorcher - 1x Twisted Cyclone - 2x Acrophobia - 2x Goliath - 1x Batman - 2x Mind Bender - 2x Monster Mansion - 1x What a welcome! So many lights! SMORES! Gotham! I also loved the projections! Im not really a fan of them removing the Batmobile but it works for them I guess... I haven't seen them turn the Mindbender sign on all season.

Didn't realize it had not been mentioned. It was running the last Sat in Sep. I made a last-minute trip that day to activate a pass. I was checking this topic every weekend waiting on someone to announce that it was back open and no one said a word. Then Sunday morning I was watching a live stream on FB of the Coffin Challenge and I heard that familiar high pitched ‘hum’ in the background. I opened a new tab and came back to this topic to double check and found nothing. But my face lit up when I saw the gondola at the top of the tower as I got off the bus. That’s how I knew it was going to be a great day!

I went out to the park today for the first time in a couple months. I always make it a point to experience FrIght Fest as least once a year. Last year I didn’t get to experience any of the haunts but this year was different thanks to my Diamond Elite membership. It was extremely crowded tonight (especially for a Sunday) but thanks to my boss coming out to the park my good friend and I were able to get a few rides in on top of the several haunts. (My boss got a platinum flash pass for 3). Special notes— 1. Acrophobia is up and running again!!! 2. The scare actors walking around the park did a really good job at scaring the f*ck out of me. 3. If you ever need to charge your phone (and you have your charger) I suggest heading down to Lickskillet and posting up at the bench near the funnel cake stand. There’s an outlet there and no one seemed to notice it. 4. The haunt in the building built near Goliath (Alien Adubtction I think) was bananas! It amazed me how much they packed in there! 5. The Thunder River queue haunt (can’t remember the name) had an extremely long line ALL night. I didn’t get to experience it but I’m gonna try to go back before FrIght Fest is over so I can see what the hype is about. 6. Mind Bender was running 1 train all day/night. I guess the 2nd train needs repairs or something. 7. Batman seemed a lil more intense than I remember... it seemed like they oiled the tracks or something. 8. The Gotham City haunt (ZX-1 I think) was also pretty good. Those scare actors were really putting in the work! Overall, I had a blast. I didn’t even make it to the back section of the park (where GASM and SMUF is) but I still enjoyed myself despite the heavy crowds. I wish I had gotten more pictures but my battery was extremely low by the time it got dark. I was soooo happy to see Acro back in operation! The Goliath crew was dispatching trains like crazy! The weather was perfect! No Frigh Fest trip is complete without a pic of the bloody fountain! Gotta love the spooky theming! More spooky theming!! Even more! I caught the Coffin Challenge contestants shortly after the challenge was over. Congrats to the 5 that made it through the 30 hours!

Any news on the gigantic lightning rod bka Acro?

1. The only on-ride photo rides are TC, Goliath, and The Log Jamboree. So there’s that. Lol 2. I’ve ridden the Sky Buckets solo several times so you’re good. 3. There are 2 locations with the all day bunnies. One near the guest relations office in the front and one near monster mansion. Depending on your bag size, you may be able to save a few dollars by just purchasing a $5 all day deal at one of the rides. While they only give you 2 hours at each ride. You can move your reservation around to the different rides during the day. 4. You can’t go wrong with JB’s but Macho Nacho is always a go to spot for me. They sell beer at JB’s, Macho Nacho, and the Gotham City Eatery. 5. Probably... but please let us know when you get out there because no one hasn’t mentioned it since my last update on the catch car not being at the top when I rode past a couple weeks ago. 6. Lift-Hill The Ride! Lmao! But I’m known around the park by employees as the Lone Ranger so I don’t think you riding anything solo will have you looking crazy. Lol Enjoy your visit!
