  1. Awesome pictures man, can't wait to see some more!
  2. I hope this project is a huge hit, seems like it would be a great fit in Orlando.
  3. You pictures are great man, I'd love to follow your own thread. This might be one of my favorite coaster pictures ever, I don't know if it's the empty train or what but there is just something very peaceful yet exciting about this picture.
  4. ^Yeah, way to much plush. I also hate it when a park gives out inflated basketballs as prizes for basketball games, then you have to deal with kids dribbling basketballs all over the park the rest of the day which is very annoying.
  5. This picture makes the ride look much more compact than any of the concept art or animation video have, looks like it will be great!
  6. ^ Definitely a huge hire for Tennessee if they can pull it off, I still can't imagine why he would leave the awesome job he has now, although he probably has about 6 million good reasons why. Somewhere on the back page of your sports section tomorrow you'll learn the The University of Kentucky has hired Mark Stoops, defensive coordinator from Florida State, to be their next head coach. Kentucky might be one of the more difficult programs in the country to succeed at, but we'll see how he does. Hopefully he has a solid recruiting pipeline in Florida, and if he can keep some of the talented kids from KY in KY then they may have a shot at being average in the SEC....
  7. Mine would be the now defunct Wabash Cannonball at Opryland USA! Nothing special by today's standards but it was certainly an exciting ride back to me back then!
  8. I was at Kings Island for Diamondback's opening day and the line was stretched all the way back to Main Street but only took a few hours, they were seriously putting some people through that day. This may not always be the case here for every ride at Kings Island, but my past couple of trips have been pretty good overall.
  9. ^Did he injure his throwing arm operating the pen? Or was Calvin Johnson there to bail him out of a bad signature?
  10. ^Even a blind (Brown) squirrel finds a nut (turnover) every now and then! That performance was atrocious but seriously what did Steelers fans expect from the guy who was backing up Byron Leftwich? I'm going to bet my soul against Pittsburgh losing every game as long as Batch is QB, but if they manage to pull off a late season comeback with wins over Dallas, Cincy, and Cleveland and slide into the playoffs at 9-7 it would't surprise me at all. I can see it now, Roethlisberger on the sidelines in street clothes for warm-ups limps out of the locker room after the half in uniform Willis Reed style in the new Cowboys Stadium to put the nail in the proverbial coffin on Dallas' season and begin the late season Steeler surge, wouldn't surprise me at all.
  11. It will be interesting, the rules are so vague that I don't really know how it's going to work out. My contacts with our program seem to think that they will not be eligible because of the new rules but who knows how the NCAA will handle their waiver appeal, I think Tech deserves the exemption even though it would likely screw us out of a bowl game.
  12. Hey Joe, what's the word is Jacket land on the bowl situation for Tech? Are people around the program confident that they will be granted the waiver to be eligible if they fall to 6-7? The NCAA instituted a new rule this past off season that says that 6-7 are eligible only after all of the 6-6 teams have been selected, and there are currently 70 teams with a 6-6 or better record with 3 more potential 6-6 teams left (Uconn and Pittsburgh are 5-6 with one game remaining, and if Tech beats FSU they are automatically in at 7-6). The rules don't specifically state what happens if the team is 6-7 because they are playing in a conference championship in place of ineligible teams, such as Tech is this year. UCLA got in last year under this scenario but had to apply for a waiver from the NCAA, which was granted, but I don't know if Tech will get the same waiver with the new rules were passed this past year. My Toppers are semi-directly affected since Tech will certainly be selected to a bowl if the NCAA declares them eligible, but if Uconn or Pitt wins then it will basically come down to WKU (7-5), Rice (6-6), SMU (6-6), or Central Michigan (6-6) fighting for the last slots and one (or two or three) of these teams will not make a bowl game. We got left out last year with a 7-5 record so we'll see what happens.
  13. ^I just saw that on you FB page and honestly that is one of the better Kickstarter project pages I've seen. $500 for a private concert for a party seems like a steal, plus all of the other stuff he is offering is really. Seems like he is very passionate which I guess is what this whole thing is all about anyways.
  14. $55 a day for drinks on a cruise ship seems like it would be a steal, and probably fairly profitable for the ship because I imagine it would only be for domestic beer, house wine, and well drinks. It seems like I remember looking into a Celebrity cruise a few years ago that offered a similar package. Wifi would certainly be nice, I've never paid for the wifi on any of my cruise because it seemed expensive and the trips I was on were so short that not having access to wifi for 3 days wasn't a big deal.
  15. Yeah, screw the NCAA every decision they make anymore just completely baffles me and seems to make no logical sense. Why do the the two basketball players at Indiana have to sit out 9 games and re-pay $1,500 but Shabazz Muhammad only has to sit out 3 games and re-pay $1,600? AND two years ago Enes Kanter for Kentucky was ruled ineligible for the whole season and not allowed to pay back any of his impermissible benefits that he took as a 15 year old playing in Turkey. The whole NCAA is just a rutter-less ghost ship at this point, and mark it down sometime in the near future the commissioner of the Big Ten and the SEC will get together and say screw you, we can run football and basketball on our own terms, see ya later. If Georgia Tech plays USC in the Sunbowl I would like to see a live stream of a wrestling match between Joey and Joe at the pre-game tailgate, no holds barred, falls count anywhere.
  16. If this is anything other than a Kick Boodie then I'm not interested in the project anymore . But seriously, a Kick Boodie and this awesomely weird haunted fun land nostalgia center are a match made in heaven, make it happen!
  17. ^Can he recruit or can USC recruit? Not taking anything away from Kiffin but getting a top players to come to USC probably isn't the toughest job in the world, that place recruits for itself (kind of how Alabama, Florida, and LSU do). It will certainly be an interesting off season for that team, when are they back to full scholarships? Just from the very little of USC that I watched I think some of their struggles this year were a result of them just still being pretty thin at some positions as a result of their sanctions, that and they are everyone in that conference's biggest game so they everyone's best shot. Just an interesting fact that someone told me yesterday about this weekend's games, South Carolina beat a VERY good Clemson team on the road at Clemson, holding one of the best offenses in the country to 17 points and winning by 10 with their back up QB. Pretty good performance for the 6th best team in the SEC, 6th!
  18. Yeah I was kind of impartial towards Kiffin but now I think he sucks, I wouldn't want to play for him. Not that I'm surprised, but the SEC went 4-0 against the ACC yesterday with Florida and South Carolina more or less dominating Florida State and Clemson. I thought Ckemson had one of the best offenses in the country so only scoring 17 against South Carolina was a bit of a shock. Does anyone have tickets for the SEC title game next week, those shouldn't be to hard to come by .....
  19. ^If Jim Schwartz woud have kept his flag in his pants then Detroit might have won. It was a crazy game though, two turnovers and two missed field goals in overtime both teams had their chances.
  20. A part of me hopes that they build some type of wicked new RMC crazy hybrid thing or a GCI wooden twister and find a way to keep the "beast" franchise alive. Steel beast 3000!
  21. I wonder if adding this back story at this point in time has anything to do with the upcoming tv show? Whether the show succeeds or flops it would make sense to go ahead and incorporate some aspects of the story line as soon as possible. Yeah, the storylines at Disney have always kind of been kind hit or miss for me, some are great and some are just unnecessary, but sometimes I think that Disney goes out of heir way to create these elaborate stories (and spend a lot of money doing so) where they just aren't needed. I know it's kind of what separates Disney from Six Flags and others, but sometimes can't a ride just be a ride? Does Space Mountain need a story, and a movie, and a theme song, or can it just be a cool roller coaster in outer space? That story works for me.
  22. The SeaWorld Christmas event is easily one of the best in park Christmas Events I've ever been to, they really do a great job with it. The best part is that Kraken and Manta tend to be complete walk-ons all night during the shows!
  23. Notre Dame is #1 in the country in football, Indiana is #1 in the country in basketball, and Justin Beiber just won artist of the year, I'd say the 21's can't get here soon enough!
  24. ^Yeah, I guess what I was trying to say was that I've noticed a lot of programs display really poor tackling over the past couple of years and I'm wondering if it maybe has something to do with a change in the practice rules. I know as a part of the new CBA the NFL has significantly limited the number of padded practices for the entire season down to like 12 total or something ridiculously low, and maybe the NCAA has implemented some kind of similar rule change that is leading to the poor technique. Then again the elite programs with what most would consider elite coaches don't seem to struggle as much in that area, so maybe it has a lot to do with coaching.
  25. I rode my first inversion at Opryland on the Wabash Cannonball, and that ride was kind of the ride that started my obsession with roller coasters. I also remember the mine-train being a lot of fun, and Chaos being terrifying for a 10 year old. I do wish that park was still around, seems like the kind of place that would have succeed if it had been given a chance.
