  1. You had me at wrestling ring in the amusement park........ But seriously lots of wrestling history & culture in Mexico so that's something that could be kind of unique and fun on a regular basis.
  2. Oh I get it, I realize this IP isn't my thing but it's still an absolutely massive global brand that a ton of people are going to love no matter what so I'm excited that it's coming to life in multiple locations so that the fans get to experience it. And yeah the Yoshi ride is super cute, nice addition to the land.
  3. Yeah I was curious about that, a little strange to have this massive media dump and not throw in an on ride clip or something. I know there's a great deal of strategy that goes into what information gets released and when and all so I'm sure there's a reason for just some static images and a video of the station. Maybe the complete experience is difficult to capture in a video so there's no point in showing any of it. (or it could look kind of underwhelming or something)
  4. I'm excited to see what this AR tech actually looks like when this thing opens. I'm pretty impartial to the Nintendo brand in general but the tech sounds interesting enough that it could be a game changer for the entire industry or a massive let down, we'll see. Looks great though, I agree with Elissa that it looks a bit Men in Black ish but that might not be a bad thing (Men in Black is amazing). With that style of lap bar I'm hoping there's some more intense maneuvers than what Men in Black is capable of.
  5. Ice Breaker looks great, it's gonna be a lot of fun but my only complaint is the 54" height requirement (assuming that's what it'll be since the other Premier sky rockets at SW parks are 54"). SeaWorld has 3 amazing B&M's that are all 54", this coaster would be a perfect intermediate ride for younger riders if it were 48" or 50" or something but that's not the case.
  6. First people are complaining about the computer generated POV for Ice Breaker, and now people think it's bad that Iron Gwazi looks the same as all of the other RMC coasters that just so happen to be ranked all over the top 20 in every poll ever? Lol, wild times to be a coaster fan haha.
  7. I feel like the line for Living with the Land is really hit or miss, sometimes it's a complete walk on and other times it's got a full que, but even with the full que I feel like it's usually less than 30 minutes despite what the wait time indicator says. I mostly agree with Bill's take on Epcot even though it's one of my favorite parks in the world. We love taking the kids there because there are so many rides for them that usually have next to no wait, I've been on a Saturday in July with my 7 year old and ridden everything in the park before like 2 pm, and they have a ton of princess meet n greet opportunities throughout the showcase again with next to no wait. The food is great and the festivals are really fun but a version of Disney Springs with a $130 cover charge is a hilarious analogy but also kind of accurate lol. That said the park desperately needs some new attractions and Ratatouille and Guardians should be really nice additions.
  8. I mean they shared a polaroid at D23 a few years ago of a young Peter Quill visiting EPCOT as a child (born in the early 1980s) before he was abducted by Yondu in 1988. So he's been before and I guess now want's to come back for some reason. That's the start of a pretty interesting back story for a theme park attraction IMO but I guess it's not "smart" enough like Horizons was........
  9. Yeah there are some videos out there of the new coaster in France that recently opened using this same ride system (or very very similar system at least), and even though that ride appears to be pretty tame you can still see what kind of potential this thing has. I'm excited to see what Disney does with this thing from the storytelling perspective. Most dark ride coasters are usually just here's a few scenes at the beginning of the ride, high speed section in the dark, another scene, high speed section end. This thing they might really be able to do something cool with it while the ride is in motion.
  10. Starting at $79/ night, rate is only available for 3 rooms on a Wednesday in February but still, starting at $79/ night. Seriously though I kind of forgot about this new property and don't think I've seen any pictures of it to date but it looks great. Not sure what kind of perks it comes with, being across the street isn't as convenient as being closer to the parks but I'd consider staying here sometime for sure.
  11. How dare you forget Cobras Curse Tigris and Scorpion, enthusiasts card revoked lol.
  12. I'm not super familiar with the S&S Free Spins (never been on one) but that station/brake run does looks a tad shorter. I wonder if this thing will run fewer trains, like 2 or 3 instead of 5 that it seems the Six Flags versions have? Probably not the worst thing for a smaller park like Adventureland especially if it saves them cash upfront.
  13. We kind know what we were getting with Tron, even before the one in Shanghai opened we sort of knew what to expect as a roller coaster/attraction. With this thing I still have no idea what it's going to end up being but I have a feeling this thing will be truly special. It might not be as popular as Rise simply because it isn't Star Wars but I'm expecting an overall experience here that's one the same level as that but more thrilling and unique. Really excited for this one, even more excited for shorter waits on Test Track (hopefully).
  14. This is probably a dark horse but for a well rounded all around collection I feel like Dollywood and Silver Dollar city might be in the mix, especially if you're talking roller coaster collection at a "theme park". Dollywood with Lightning Rod, Wild Eagle, Thunderhead, Mystery Mine, Tennessee Tornado, Dragonflyer and Fire Chaser is a really solid, albeit smaller lineup, with something for everyone. Silver Dollar City kind of the same thing with Outlaw Run, Wildfire, Powder keg, Thunderation, and now Time Traveler. That lineup is well rounded and time traveler is so unique.
  15. This may not be true but it seems like I remember reading somewhere that the coaster shown is going to be a clone of Cheetah Hunt, which is awesome if true. This is one of the more interesting projects in the world to me right now. I don't have any idea what kind of attractions or exhibits this place will have but a modern marine life park has the potential to be a fun take on what we've come to know as the the typical experience. Really interested to see how this place turns out, also will be interesting to see if this concept is scalable in some way such that SeaWorld could potentially bring a similar experience to other markets around the world, if this is successful.
  16. Behemoth the year they opened Leviathan.... Behemoth was like "oh what's up Leviathan.... so we're both here now huh, well this is awkward."
  17. That was a pretty interesting perspective from a theatre professional. This thread probably isn't the appropriate place but I'd love to see your thoughts on some other Disney parks stage shows. Lion King, Little Mermaid and the old Beauty and the Beast show at Studios, the Frozen Sing a long. I've never like the Nemo show even though it looks great but the theatre always seems to be full. Anyways thanks for sharing that.
  18. Not sure if I'll ever make it over to Beijing but some of these concepts are really interesting, especially the new ride system for Jurassic Park. The Kung Fu Panda dark ride was a nice surprise, that one slipped under my radar but looks like a fun concept.
  19. Now Hershey just has to decide which of their three different sized towers to slap this thing on lol.
  20. I love this concept, especially as an option to retrofit an existing S&S Tower. Considering how many S&S Towers are in operation around the world, and how many of them have multiple towers, I hope we see this option added to several locations,
  21. Seems like a shooting dark ride would be a perfect fit for the John Wick franchise but people seem to enjoy these S&S Free Spin coasters. Having one built into the facade of the hotel looks pretty cool.
  22. I'm here for Wu-Tang World.
  23. Lol, I don't know Island H2O might give them a run....... We did drive by there and they had football games playing on the giant screen over the wave pool, looked pretty awesome tbh.
  24. That's amazing, hoping to get down there in a few weeks so I'll be sure to check that out. We took the kids to Aquatica a few weeks ago for a day and had a really good time. Much more crowded than I was expecting (it was on a Sunday in September) but still very manageable. park entry was a breeze, walked right through the temp. scan tent, straight to the park entry and in. There were Shorter lines in the morning, but got much longer later in the afternoon so pretty much a normal day at a water park in Orlando. Food lines looked pretty long but, we didn't eat there so it wasn't an issue but be warned. We did get some slushies and a pretzel for the kids and they required you to put your mask on to buy anything from the food stands/merchandise kiosk. I did see team members enforcing that to people who were just stopping by for a refill in their swim suits, so good for SeaWorld. The new slides that were supposed to open this year look really fun, can't wait to go back and check them out. Will be nice to have another attraction on that side of the park. It had been a few years since I'd been to Aquatica and while it's maybe showing some age in areas it still might be my favorite waterpark in Orlando. Just a really solid collection of slides in a beautiful setting.
  25. Great report, this place looks fantastic now. Japan is still high on my bucket list and while Fuji-Q used to be high on my "must visit Japanese parks list" (behind Tokyo Disney of course), I think Nagashima Spaland might have taken it's spot.
