  1. They are both renamed coasters. Worlds of Fun and Kentucky Kingdom.
  2. It seems that the snow is not slowing down the construction after all . They have torn out the remains of the Mad Mouse restrooms and are doing some more land digging/clearing.
  3. 1) Mostly a combo of DVD and Bluray with occasional streaming. 2) Vudu sometimes, but not very often, and nothing else. 3) About 10-20 Blurays/DVDs a year. 4) No. 5) I watch YouTube just about as often if not more than I watch DVD and Bluray movies.
  4. Positive: Probably the pretzel loop on Manta in the last row. Negative: Not completely sure, but probably the one airtime hill on Goliath at SFGAm . Lateral: Pretty much every Wild Mouse I've ridden (except Valleyfair's, which is trimmed to death).
  5. They both have top tier wooden coasters. California's Great America and Six Flags New England.
  6. Granted, but they now have awful reliability. I wish parks would play better music in the queue lines.
  7. They are both coasters that DarienLaker really likes . Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Kings Dominion.
  8. They all have Gerstlauer Eurofighters. Michigan's Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, and Lake Compounce.
  9. It's 28 degrees and lightly snowing in my neck of the woods. Haven't gotten that much snow compared to the rest of the state, but it's cold and snowing nevertheless. Time for me to go through another Minnesota winter.
  10. Granted, but your choices are limited to rides from Vekoma and TOGO. I wish Valleyfair stayed open during winter (and ran perfectly).
  11. Given the current webcam view, we might not be seeing much more waterpark construction anytime soon . Although, I do think the park looks nice covered in the snow.
  12. Granted, but it's built at some obscure park in the middle of nowhere in Asia. I wish that there wasn't snow in the forecast.
  13. Saw Interstellar last night, and it's one of my favorite movies of the year. I liked how the storyline wasn't predictable and kept me on the edge of my seat. The visuals are terrific. Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway were both great in their roles. The score by Hans Zimmer is also wonderful. In the world of space movies, it's one of the best ones, and I think I'd choose Interstellar over Gravity. I'll be surprised if Interstellar doesn't win any Academy Awards. I highly recommend seeing it if you have a chance. Also, I might have to see Big Hero 6 soon too considering all the positive reviews it has on here.
  14. I think he was just being realistic Kings Island's Invertigo could maybe be moved in the future as well (I only think). Even though moving KBF's Boomerang or KI's Invertigo to MiA could be possible, they really deserve something better than that. They haven't gotten anything truly new since 1999, and that was only a Wild Mouse. I know Screamscape isn't always 100% accurate, but they're rumoring a Hyper-GTX for 2016, and something like that is exactly what Michigan's Adventure needs. Also, I'm not sure how true this is, but I heard somewhere that MiA was apparently supposed to get an Intamin Impulse coaster back in 2003, but they ended up sending it to Valleyfair instead. Even though I enjoy having Steel Venom at my home park, it would have been perfect for MiA. I still think that an impulse would be a good fit, but since Cedar Fair doesn't do business with Intamin anymore, it isn't going to happen .
  15. ...when you use manual operation mode on NoLimits, you give a thumbs up and say "Clear...all-clear" before you dispatch.
  16. Both have B&M inverts. Darien Lake and Six Flags Over Georgia?
  17. They both have wooden coasters. Adventuredome and Cedar Point?
  18. Granted, but the classrooms and hallways are so small that it's hard to get around. I wish there were more RMCs.
  19. Looks like they're really making progress preparing for construction. It also seems that they're doing something with the volleyball courts. I can't wait to see how everything turns out this spring .
  20. Manta (SWO) and Dragon Challenge both have some really cool stations. I like how the DC station has projections of dragons on the ceiling in addition to the fitting ominous music. Manta's station is decoratd very beautifully and suits the ride very well. The music they play really gets you in the mood for the ride, and the sound they play when you're lifted up into flying position is cool too.
  21. Granted, but the ride is down almost all of time. I wish I could see Interstellar tonight.
  22. Trim brakes
  23. Minnesota
  24. I have to admit, even though Goliath is my current favorite roller coaster, the zero-G stall did not blow me off the face of the Earth like some had claimed it would. It was an awesome element, but I personally thought the first drop was the best part of the ride.
  25. ^ VF's General Manager confirmed that they won't be getting a Banshee-sized invert, not surprising since Cedar Fair doesn't invest that kind of money in Valleyfair, but a smaller-sized invert like Talon or Afterburn might be possible. The next few years could potentially be pretty interesting for VF .
