  1. Granted, but the file with the background contains a virus. I wish for NoLimits 2 to be released for Mac.
  2. So I read on another coaster website from someone that recently went to a winter enthusiast event at SFGAdv that there is a chance that the park could eventually hold a Holiday in the Park event that would run on weekends from November through early January, and they would keep most of the rides open, which surprises me a bit. If they did end up having it, I would hope it goes well for them, but considering the climate park is located in, they might have some trouble keeping the rides open, especially in December and early January.
  3. I'd heard of this thing a while back. I think it's just a weird concept because I don't know why you'd choose to kill yourself on a roller coaster of all things, but that's just me. Based on these statistics, I doubt that it would ever get built because it would probably be way too expensive. From Wikipedia.
  4. Did a little searching around and saw something about Valleyfair slowing down Power Tower because they thought it was too intense for their family-friendly park image, but I'm not so sure I should believe that because, even when not slowed down, S&S towers aren't the most intense drop towers to begin with.
  5. Nickelodeon Universe next weekend. Will be nice to get a short break from the offseason.
  6. It unfortunately looks like a splash pad that you'd find a local city water park, but it's certainly better than the existing Splash Station. Sorry for going off-topic, but I was just wondering, what are everyone's thoughts on Power Tower? For me, I want to be a fan of it, but I never get off either version of Power Tower feeling particularly thrilled. I personally prefer the Space Shot side because the launch has some decent forces and a good floater air pop at the top, but after that it is a leisurely trip down. As sad as it sounds, I use the red Turbo Drop towers more from observational purposes than to get a thrilling ride. I'm not suggesting that PT should be removed because it is still one of the park's most popular rides, and it's a park icon that helps define the local skyline, but I just find it disappointing that the tallest ride in the park is one of its tamer rides.
  7. I'd imagine this coaster probably won't be on the park's Quick Queue system because it's already a low capacity ride, and if Quick Queue users kept on coming to this ride, that would make the regular wait time unbearably long. Even if it has the rumored three-car trains, the situation wouldn't be much better.
  8. I looked it up and it's WhiteWater West that manufactured the slides.
  9. ...which end up being a kiddie dive coaster with tiny drops, low speeds, and a short ride, but the GP apparently thought it was amazing and the new best coaster at Cedar Point. This was because...
  10. Both have spinning coasters. Silver Dollar City and Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
  11. It seems like most Cedar Fair parks tease when they are getting a new coaster, so, yes, hopefully VF does the same thing whenever it happens. A bit surprised the old sign is still up, but they still have plenty of time to put the new one up before Opening Day. It will be interesting to see what the new sign looks like.
  12. Geauga Lake
  13. ...sent both of the Boomerangs to Cedar Point. This made the Cedar Point fanboys furious about having two awful Vekomas in the park. They attempted to destroy both of them, but...
  14. Both have Vekoma Boomerangs. Cedar Point and Kentucky Kingdom.
  15. Granted, but it will be a sleepless night. I wish for Opening Day to come faster.
  16. I haven't bought one in quite a while because I almost always go to parks on off days. Even though I don't get them often, I fully support them because if you're making a long trip to get to park and you can only spend one day there, wouldn't you want to make the most of your time? I'm not annoyed by the people that use them because, unless it's a low capacity ride, it usually has little to no effect on the normal line.
  17. There's a chance I might be going to Kansas City in early May, and while there I'd like to pay a visit to Worlds of Fun. Not completely sure if I'm going yet, but hopefully I do. I hope a WOF local could answer a few questions. 1) How bad would lines and crowds be on a weekend day in early May? I don't think I'd need a Fast Lane, but I could be wrong. 2) It sounds like Prowler, Patriot, and Mamba are the must-ride coasters. Any other rides I should definitely check out? 3) Where are the best places to sit on the must-rides? 4) Is Timber Wolf really as bad as people say it is? If so, I might end up skipping it. 5) Anything else I should know about Worlds of Fun?
  18. -Intamin Impulse Coaster. -Relocated to Dorney Park from Geauga Lake. -180 ft. tall. -Has a holding brake. Next: Wolverine Wildcat - Michigan's Adventure
  19. -Arrow Hypercoaster. -Opened in 1994. -Formerly called Pepsi Max Big One. -Set records when it opened. Next: Excalibur - Valleyfair
  20. Granted, but you will also get food poisoning. I wish for a clone of El Toro in my backyard.
  21. ...Six Flags St. Louis, where they placed it right next to the Boomerang they already have. Both enthusiasts and the GP got angry at the park for adding another Bommerang, so a group of people got together and...
  22. The slide towers will only be going as far as where Hydroblaster and that old Games island used to be. It's a good thing that they're ripping out that path because it had lots of cracks and potholes in it, and it should be a lot smoother path this year, assuming that they really have ripped it out and will repave it. The other path I think should be repaved sometime is that stretch at the front of the park from The Wave to Monster because it has some of the same problems as the Mad Mouse midway.
  23. ...Steel Roller Coaster, which the park guests disliked because of how overly simplistic it was. Later that year, Darien Lake announced that it would be adding an RMC wooden coaster called Wooden Roller Coaster, but during the official announcement ceremony...
  24. ...you never eat at sit-down restaurants at a park because you consider them a waste of time. ...your favorite highway entrance/exit ramps are the ones that produce the most laterals.
  25. ^ I see your point on not being able to see much on an invert, it doesn't necessarily have to be Raptor or Banshee-sized to be a great ride. Batman: The Ride is only ~100 feet tall, but that ride packs lots of forces into it. Not saying Valleyfair should get a Batman clone, it's just that an invert can be small and intense when done right.
