  1. Don't have any photos at the moment but I can confirm that Tilter has been removed from its current location and land preparation for its new spot has begun.
  2. Last December in a college class. When was the last time you stayed at a sketchy hotel?
  3. On Labor Day weekend at Valleyfair. When was the last time you went to Carowinds?
  4. Wild Thing at VF one week ago on the last ride of the night.
  5. While Haunt mazes and scare zones aren't exactly my cup of tea, I'm still glad that parks host Halloween events. It is nice to be able to visit parks during fall with the cooler temperatures and fall foliage, and Halloween events extend the parks' operating seasons through at least the end of October (many seasonal parks used to close in September/early October before Haunt events became popular).
  6. RidTipe turns the water off on colder days, otherwise it's always running. How wet you get mostly depends on where you're sitting.
  7. If anyone's interested, I found this YouTube video from an old roller coaster TV program that has some cool footage of Wild Thing and Valleyfair from what looks like 1996 or 97. [youtu_be]https://youtu.be/l0uMRNig8rQ[/youtu_be]
  8. I'd be happy to get an RMC Raptor at Valleyfair. Railblazer looks like a nice intense coaster, and a similar ride would fit well in the park's lineup. Also with Knott's getting HangTime, that makes a Gerstlauer Infinity coaster more of a possibility here. I rode Monster at Adventureland earlier this year and it's a fantastic ride, if we got something similar at VF I'd have no complaints.
  9. Definitely making plans to go back to Ohio next year to ride Steel Vengeance. This looks like it could quite possibly be the new best coaster at Cedar Point.
  10. It's definitely not what I was expecting, but overall it looks like a fun, solid addition to the park that most guests will like. Should look good in Route 76 as well. It does make me wonder how much longer Looping Starship will be around since that ride does almost exactly the same thing.
  11. Both have Arrow loopers. Worlds of Fun and Six Flags America?
  12. February. When was the last time you were evacuated from a coaster?
  13. That's a shame if their operations have really gotten that bad. When I visited WOF last year during Haunt, aside from Timber Wolf, operations were pretty good all around, especially on Mamba.
  14. If they add a Skywarp, Sky Roller, or Top Scan I'd be happy with it, all of those look like fun rides that would go over well with the crowds. I doubt we'll be getting a Super Loop though, Looping Starship essentially does the same thing.
  15. Today at work, Wild Thing was down for about 45 minutes due to a mechanical problem, and we had a guest that was irrationally angry about the downtime. He started shouting out "I could build a better amusement park than this! I'm going to buy up all the farmland in the area and build my own park! Make amusement parks great again!" Keep in mind this was a grown adult saying this. I wish I could say he was joking, but he looked serious.
  16. Hoping for a new thrill ride in the dry park, but I'd be okay with a waterpark expansion as well, even if it means the removal of Excalibur.
  17. April. When was the last time you rode a Morgan hyper?
  18. Dragon Challenge has been running almost every day for 18 years, by this point, it probably has too much wear and tear to make a relocation possible.
  19. Dragon Challenge was the ride that turned me into a coaster enthusiast so I'm sad to see it go. I regretfully agree that it's getting scrapped since it most likely has too much wear and tear to make a relocation feasible. Doubt that whatever it's replaced by will be anywhere near as good.
  20. Don't have any photos but today I noticed some land clearing going on near the associate parking lot, presumably for the new access road.
  21. Last year Labor Day Saturday and Sunday were moderately busy but not too bad, and Labor Day itself was mostly dead. I'd hit Mad Mouse, North Star, Renegade, and Xtreme Swing early since those can get decent lines, other than that everything else shouldn't be more than a 15 minute wait.
