  1. Corkscrew - Various Parks
  2. Granted, but they wouldn't be nearly as good as they were before. I wish that opening weekend would come faster (here in Minnesota, Valleyfair doesn't open until the 16th).
  3. I have a feeling that might just be temporary. If a new attraction is coming to that spot in the future, they're not going to tell us now.
  4. I hate when coasters are down for maintenance for long periods in the middle of the season when there have been no concerning incidents. Assuming it's a seasonal park, don't they have all offseason to do maintenance?
  5. Granted, but it will have lots of downtime and be overall mediocre. I wish that the GP would stop having irrational fears about roller coasters.
  6. Renegade - Valleyfair
  7. Granted, but it will be a Chinese Knockoff SLC. I wish that Fast Lane/Flash Pass/Quick Queue passes weren't so expensive.
  8. I am so guilty of that. You Might Be A Coaster Nerd If.... ...when you hear the word "vitamin", you think of Intamin. ...you get annoyed when you bring family or friends to a park, and they want to ride a coaster that is bad or not worth it (cough...cough...The Dark Knight Coaster...cough...cough). ...you shout "Take the tunnel!" before driving through a tunnel.
  9. Darien Lake getting a S:UF clone. El Toro or Outlaw Run?
  10. Sorry it took me a while, but here it is. Hint: Track length - 3,113 feet.
  11. Outlaw Run - SDC
  12. Intimidator 305 - Kings Dominion
  13. From Valleyfairzone's Twitter page, this is what remains of Hydroblaster. The plot of land it leaves is much bigger than I thought it would be. With an amount of land like this, I think that we might be in for a very cool Soak City expansion.
  14. Wild Thing - Valleyfair, closing day last year. When was the last time you greyed-out or blacked-out on a roller coaster.
  15. Granted, but the dialogue would still be confusing. I wish that parks would take the trim brakes off of their coasters.
  16. Fahrenheit - Hersheypark
  17. ...driving past an amusement park in the offseason is depressing because you can't ride anything.
  18. Cedar Fair Busch Gardens Tampa or Busch Gardens Williamsburg?
  19. I've only been on Wild Thing. It's nothing mind-blowing, but still a lot of fun. It's definitely the best in the front row, and the airtime on the first hill is really awesome. The second half can either be forceless or decently fun, depending on how hard the MCBR slows the train. Luckily, the brakes weren't too bad last year. I hope it stays that way. I can't officially speak for all Morgans, but I feel that once most enthusiasts have been on a B&M or Intamin hyper, Morgans must feel like a letdown, and that's probably why they don't have the highest reputation. On a side note, I drove past West Coaster last summer when I was in Los Angeles, but I skipped it because I didn't think it would be worth it.
  20. ^I've never ridden a Zamperla Disk'O coaster, but it looks fun for what it is. What I find interesting is that if you look at the Thrill Rides list on the Valleyfair website or the moblie app, Northern Lights is on that list and has a thrill rating of 4, and it looks more to me like a family ride. I'm usually on the side of "Don't judge it until you ride it", but if you ask me, I think that a 3 would be the most appropriate thril rating for this situation. Of course, that could change once I ride it.
  21. Picture from VF's Facebook page of the new Ferris Wheel lights. It definitely looks much better than it used to.
  22. There's actually one last thing that bugs me, and that is how everyone they interview for the show is labeled as a coaster enthusiast, because some of them sound like they don't know what they are talking about, and others you can definitely tell that they are GPs. For example, someone that was interviewed about Vortex at KI said that it was one of the first coasters with loops and corkscrews, and that's not true. There are plenty of coasters before Vortex that had loops and corkscrews. If facts are going to be told on a show like this, they ought to get them straight.
  23. So it is coming coming back for a third season? Thanks for letting me know, larrygator. I probably should have posted this in my earlier post, but another issue I had with this show is how the Top 10 at the end of season one turned out. There is no way that a Giant Inverted Boomerang is the 3rd best coaster in America. I also think Manta shouldn't be #5. It is a great coaster, but I don't think it's good enough to be ranked that high. I also don't like how they put too much emphasis on certain coaster facts, such as "This coaster pulls UP TO FOUR G'S!" There are plenty of coasters out there that pull four G's. I honestly do like this show, but there are many small things that I get annoyed with.
