  1. Granted, but the ride would still be just as rough as if it were an Arrow. I wish I could go on a TPR trip.
  2. Eh, I trust that the park is announcing it's 2015 addition tomorrow. Cedar Point is a totally different animal compared to Valleyfair. Whatever is being announced tomorrow, I hope that at least part of it includes thrilling waterslides because 2007 was the last year something thrilling was added to this park. It's our turn to get something this time.
  3. I just dont see where next to lakeside gliders..... So are there legitimate rumors of a Disk'O at MiA for next year? If so, I think that would also be a good addition to the park.
  4. Regardless of when it is announced, here are my final predictions: -A Snake Pit-like slide package from White Water West going in the old IMAX spot. -Racing slides (Dragster H20-ish) or a Tornado/Funnel-type slide (like what CW is getting) in the old Hydroblaster spot. -A brand-new children's play area that would remove the current one to make way for it. If we end up getting stuff in the neighborhood that I mentioned above, that might be enough to say we can possibly dream about a B&M. Also, I don't think this will happen, but it would be nice if the existing slides could get a fresh coast of paint. I agree completely, but in the event that Cedar Fair decides to keep treating Valleyfair like the red-headed stepchild of the chain, I think that a Chance Hyper-GTX would give the park a good bang for their buck.
  5. Probably around noon. Route 76 was announced around noon last year, and CP made their Mantis announcement at noon, so noon is my guess.
  6. Read on Screamscape that there's a possibility that Michigan's Adventure could receive a Chance Hyper-GTX (Lightning Run (KK)-style coaster) in 2016. If that's true, then my idea a few pages back might be more of a possibility than I originally anticipated. I wouldn't be against having one come to Valleyfair at all, as they sound intense and airtime-filled. Yeah, they have a pretty cheap pricetag, and they don't go have inversions, but I'll sure as heck take one of those over a Boomerang or an SLC.
  7. If that's true, then good for Michigan's Adventure, because Cedar Fair neglects the crap out of this park. A Hyper-GTX would be perfect for MA, considering all I've heard about Lightning Run. Plus, it doesn't look like it would be out of the parks budget. Hopefully this ends up happening.
  8. Just saw the official Top 50 results for wooden and steel coasters, and once again, it's more mind boggling results. Why on Earth are crappy coasters like Ghostrider and Hades 360 on the woodie list? There is no way that Flying Turns is the #25 woodie in the world. Also, how is Goliath only #23? It should at least be in the Top 15 if not the Top 10. I swear, the amount of bias in the Golden Ticket Awards drives me insane. http://www.goldenticketawards.com/backissues/at_gt_2014_issue.pdf
  9. Getting a little frustrated now. I don't understand why they have to keep us in the dark about 2015 this long now. We all know that it's going to be a waterpark expansion, so they might as well just tell us . Although, most other CF parks haven't announced plans yet either.
  10. Granted, but the fact that it's an Intamin prefab doesn't make it any smoother or better. I wish I was at an amusement park right now.
  11. I guess you're right on that one. We do have one kick-butt wooden coaster at Valleyfair, and that's Renegade, but yeah, besides that, it can be hard being a coaster enthusiast in this part of the country. But hey, I'm glad we at least have Valleyfair and Nick Universe instead of nothing. Also, has anyone else seen this ridiculous page on Facebook?
  12. On Facebook, several news sources are posting about the Colossus fire at SFMM, and a lot of ignorant GP commenters think that since the ride had closed, the park did it intentionally just so that they could get insurance money .
  13. Ouch. That stinks, but I don't think that it will be too big of a problem for Twisted Colossus construction. They'll probably be able to replace the wood that was destroyed. Also, what is it with RMCs and fire? Goliath's (SFGAm) station fire and now this...
  14. ...when you see the expression x^2 in your math work, you think of X2 at at SFMM.
  15. Granted, but they don't make the ride any smoother. I wish the warm weather would last longer where I live.
  16. Renegade at Valleyfair. Intense, twisty, and great airtime.
  17. Television
  18. Granted, but it has horrible reliability and is closed a lot of the time. I wish Valleyfair would announce it's 2015 waterpark expansion already.
  19. Is there a place where I can see the full Top 50 lists for wooden and steel coasters? I looked all over the website but couldn't find it. I'm pretty sure the Top 50 lists are even more ridiculous than the Top 10s.
  20. Sorry Knoebels fans, but seriously, Flying Turns is GTA's best new ride of 2014? That should have gone to Banshee or Goliath. Also, technically, it opened last year, so why it's considered new for this year is a bit confusing. I know GTAs aren't centered around thrill rides, but still...
  21. Senyo Kogyo. Would you rather ride Gold Striker or Goliath (SFGAm)?
  22. What?! Cedar Point lost to Europa Park in the Golden Ticket Awards. Am I seeing things?
  23. I think that Valley Hills should start having a Haunt event one of these days. The park looks large enough to support one.
  24. ^ I do agree with your point, but Valleyfair fans aren't the only ones with a right to complain. I'd say that Michigan's Adventure, Dorney Park, The Great Escape, Elitch Gardens, Darien Lake, Adventureland (Iowa), and a few other parks' fans have complaining rights too. But yeah, it seems like the larger a park is, the more impatient it's fanboys are for a new coaster. In fact, I'd like to see Six Flags Magic Mountain go 5 or 6 years without any coasters, not only because the park needs other things than coasters, but it would also be entertaining to see how the fanboys react. Also, if anyone on here goes to VF this weekend, could you please fill us in on any demolition/construction going on? Thanks.
  25. Wow, I never meant to turn this into a debate over whether or not constant marathoning is acceptable. It's just my opinion to take occasional breaks, but if you want to keep on marathoning, I don't really have a problem with it. Another one: If a ride is closed or broken down, don't throw a fit in front of everyone. Yes, it can be disappointing if it's a ride you've really been looking forward to, but try not to look immature in front of complete strangers.
