Sadly, the RMC'ing of the Boss will NEVER happen for two reasons (as talked about before) 1) Too expensive 2) IF it happened, they'd have to significantly reduce the length making it not something worth the investment. It's really a bummer, because of all the woodies in the SF chain, that one would benefit the best from an RMC and I bet they'd get ultra creative with that layout

I was hoping they'd get one of those new enterprises. I can't recall the name, but Kentucky Kingdom got one and it is basically the Highland Fling but with floorless seats. Looks really cool too! Maybe another SF has it....Catwoman Whip or something? Would be perfect for that spot to carry on HF's footprint. Wishful thinking, I guess.

If it is a sister coaster, I hope it's a Mack...done right...mirroring something like Helix: multi launch, ground/terrain hugging and through the woods of Smokies -
As someone who lives in STL, it maddens me to see SFStL be such cheap asses and never give the park anything good/new/shiny (that actually always works **cough** Justice League was nice but it never works to its fullest **cough) and then SF Corporate announces they want to acquire new parks. Fix up and give your current ones some new coasters and stop playing musical chairs with rides If you're doing so well to expand in China and acquire parks, you can buck up for RMC Boss or something!!!!

Okay, I get that they would cut a multi-sensory, everything-that-can-break-down-will, immersive dark ride for budgetary reasons, but something as simple as a freestanding net structure / adventure fort? I don't get it. One of the whole points of that sort of attraction is that it doesn't have to be staffed as heavily as a dark ride either. SeaWorld's is old, I get that, but Sesame Place replaced their old structure with a new one for Cookie's Monster Land. They closed Tidal Wave. How many people did it take to run that? They closed Curiosity Caverns and most likely still kept the animals and temporarily closed Jambo Junction Busch Gardens has really been treated like a dying mall. Look at all that is SBNO in the last few years and still is - Theater by Zagora Cafe - Gwazi - Rhino Rally - Terrace Restaurant - Bird Gardens Gift Shop - Tidal Wave - Curiosity Caverns/ Jambo Junction - Questor - Jungle Flyers - Wild Surge - Treetop Trails Since 2012, They've added Falcon's Fury and Cobra's Curse So sad when you put it like that

Just wanted to comment on HitP. What a fun evening! My wife and I went on Sunday. Crowds were manageable, lines not insane, and there was a really fun atmosphere in the air. I think it was improved a lot from last year; we loved the lights and all the Christmas music in the lines and throughout the park - more noticeable this year, too. ONLY complaint/ask - OPEN EAGLE!!!!!! Would provide some incredible night rides with views from the back of the park and how cool would it be to integrate a tunnel of Christmas lights midcourse.....or put some audio throughout the ride as you're riding through the woods - almost retheming it for a "sleigh ride" type attraction. HitP was WAY better than any other time I've been; in my opinion. I don't know if the lights and dark masked some of the lack of theming a normal day or summer operations would show? But wow...fun evening. Can't wait to go back! EDIT - Rode all coasters open for the event and it was around 45 or so degrees. I noticed Freeze was CRAWLING over that tophat after the launch. Everything else was great.

Remembering old discussions from this thread, I think it was because the old entrance wasn't ADA accessible and couldn't easily be made to be compliant. AH, yes...that makes sense. There are a couple of stairs by that "turnaround". Wish they could "ramp" that and make the entry to its original form. Was quaint...reminded me of the good ole days

Always amazed by the enthusiasts who judge a ride before it's even open.... I'm not judging. The layout is statistically small. I never said the ride or experience will suck.....because I haven't rode yet. But it is neutered....in the sense that it's smaller and obviously the course isn't as intense as Helix: 1) It's for fact shorter and 2) it's a spinner....not sure where your snide comment applies? -

Does that mean a new coaster will feature in this area? If so, any indication/idea as to what kind? I would hope/assume a Mack, considering SDC just got one. But hopefully a more "Helix" type layout with launches and better than the neutered looking Time Traveler. -

You'll be fine...I'm betting on a light day crowd-wise. But I could be wrong....like stated, go straight to LR first. I'm thinking if it's having a bad day they won't move aggressively on a fix or maybe not have the maintenance manpower to do so on a holiday. Have fun, amazing park! Great theming and people, as well. And most important, get the cinnamon bread -
Good, needed, addition to the waterpark. I do find it funny how many f'n coasters SFFT, SFMEXICO and SF Dallas have seen while we get nothing impressive/noteworthy (coaster-wise). We got SFDallas 27 year old boomerang, so that doesnt count. But I wonder how a market like Mexico gets all new coasters like 3 out of 4 years and we cant? Oh well....#TimeTraveler

Would MUCH rather wait on a new "coaster" (if you even call the Free Spinny Loopy a coaster) and let SFStL get pegged for a new RMC Raptor with a rolling station and plop it over Tidal Waves area with some rock and semi-theming......give us the water park thing now, let RMC tweak some Raptor stuff and mass produce to SF parks who never get coasters. Steel and coaster at SFStL would make this thread explode...

If only they'd listen to the people [emoji38] The opinions of enthusiasts do not always represent the opinions of the masses. I never said "listen to enthusiasts". I said "people". Literally every friend or family member (all non enthusiasts) pass the Ninja because of how terrible it is to ride. It is way past due to get trains or be tossed.
