Always amazed by the enthusiasts who judge a ride before it's even open.... I'm not judging. The layout is statistically small. I never said the ride or experience will suck.....because I haven't rode yet. But it is neutered....in the sense that it's smaller and obviously the course isn't as intense as Helix: 1) It's for fact shorter and 2) it's a spinner....not sure where your snide comment applies? -

Does that mean a new coaster will feature in this area? If so, any indication/idea as to what kind? I would hope/assume a Mack, considering SDC just got one. But hopefully a more "Helix" type layout with launches and better than the neutered looking Time Traveler. -

You'll be fine...I'm betting on a light day crowd-wise. But I could be wrong....like stated, go straight to LR first. I'm thinking if it's having a bad day they won't move aggressively on a fix or maybe not have the maintenance manpower to do so on a holiday. Have fun, amazing park! Great theming and people, as well. And most important, get the cinnamon bread -
Good, needed, addition to the waterpark. I do find it funny how many f'n coasters SFFT, SFMEXICO and SF Dallas have seen while we get nothing impressive/noteworthy (coaster-wise). We got SFDallas 27 year old boomerang, so that doesnt count. But I wonder how a market like Mexico gets all new coasters like 3 out of 4 years and we cant? Oh well....#TimeTraveler

Would MUCH rather wait on a new "coaster" (if you even call the Free Spinny Loopy a coaster) and let SFStL get pegged for a new RMC Raptor with a rolling station and plop it over Tidal Waves area with some rock and semi-theming......give us the water park thing now, let RMC tweak some Raptor stuff and mass produce to SF parks who never get coasters. Steel and coaster at SFStL would make this thread explode...

If only they'd listen to the people [emoji38] The opinions of enthusiasts do not always represent the opinions of the masses. I never said "listen to enthusiasts". I said "people". Literally every friend or family member (all non enthusiasts) pass the Ninja because of how terrible it is to ride. It is way past due to get trains or be tossed.

I'm right there with you, it definitely rattles, though it isn't a deal breaker. A couple weekends ago when I was there all of the TV's were working, even though it was a station wait. You may have caught an "off" day. It's certainly not my favorite in the park, probably 5th for me. I like the B&M's and InvadR better. But that's just because of how good those are, not a not on Verbolten. As for rattle, Apollo's Chariot is a little more noticeable in the section low over the water. I have to rank Verbolten 6th behind the B&Ms, InvadR, and Nessie. Comparing to the nearby competitor, it's roughly on par with Flight of Fear and Backlot Stunt Coaster, though I will ride it more because it moves its line faster than those two. Capacity is excellent for a launch. Hmm, but wasn't Europe in the Air their take on Soarin'? And isn't the former Europe in the Air already being turned into VR Thing 2018? And didn't they have spotters seen at 300 feet? And also get approval? Would this be an observation tower?

That's what I was getting at. Hopefully it's the new clone thing to do. Much more attractive to coaster enthusiasts, as well. Especially more-so than the 4D, in my opinion. There's a Raptor and a T-Rex. Wonder if 6Flags will scrounge up the TRex somewhere, too. Either way, this is exciting to see 6Flags put in REAL (kinda) steel.

One thing is for sure, you won't be getting an RMC conversion. Otherwise the park would have already announced the ride closure like SFOG with Georgia Cyclone. An S&S 4D would indeed be the most likely scenario. There's also the possibility of a water coaster like SFFT's Thunder Rapids. Either way, you would be getting something great for the park. well two years in a row with new rides in the amusement section, I suspect the water park might get a new attraction next year. my two cents Kevin I'm praying it's a water park addition. That way they can't claim to "add a steel coaster" with a f***ing 4d flippy-do time. I've been on those and it's just NOT a steel coaster. I'd like to see us get skipped on a "big" investment and have them re-locate a steel looper or something. Even if it's re-located. OR, use the new S&S models they posted....but for god sake, add something bigger/good.

Coming from someone who did and would visit yearly from STL, MO (8.5 hour drive), these are my sentiments 10000% as well. Nailed it. -

I'm far from an expert but don't they have misters on the launch track to cool the LIMs? I might be wrong but I sort of remember seeing that on opening weekend. I don't really know why a coaster with an LSM launch would be leaking hydraulic fluid in the launch area, so I'd imagine that it's water. I think you're right. I was just there a month or two ago and remember seeing misters on the same area. Assuming it was to cool the piping and metal. -

Great call...and really good idea. Never really planned it out that much, I suppose. We load up on bringing in RX Bars and the alike in a backpack - but like everything in the heat, they melt. That'll be our next thing to do! I wasn't "coming out of the woodwork", nor did I claim healthy food was a problem to overall attendance. Somoene mentioned they need to refresh/update/improve eating options and it reminded me how unhealthy their options were; even though we shared the impossible to avoid cinnamon bread. I wish parks overall would improve options, across the country. -

The food options MUST get better. My wife and I are very healthy eaters and it's damn near impossible to do anything healthy or "not fried" inside the park. That hindered some of our spending. I also returned a Fast Pass purchase when LR was down (lucky I got 4 rides in over 2 full days at the park). There are some basic, easy changes that will go a long way like someone mentioned: social media. They should be WAY better with that and they need to be more transparent on what's happening and timelines with LR. That pissed me off the most. Planning a 9 hour drive last summer to experience the park full price while a $20 mil lawn ornament sat dormant. Rolled the dice and came back this year before the 2 month downtime. But still...
