  1. Well the problem is that Six Flags is a cheap A$$ when it comes to SFStL. I have been a 6-7 year lurker of this site and recently finally joined. There's a guy in SFStL's thread that is like Prozach or Zack or something; he's blatantly honest and real about how awful SFStL gets shafted. They don't get a coaster for 10+ years and are given a 26 year old Boomerang? That's straight up wrong. ANYWAY, my point is, people have often longed for a coaster in SFStL as parks around (SDC, WoF, HW, hell even KK) get really good additions. So SFStL is the park that's looked as like "Oh there's a Six Flags there, that's cute" instead of making people really want to go. It's fun on a low crowd day to kill some time and enjoy the outdoors....that's about it. I forgot, the Prozach dude or whatever is super right and you should read his ideas/honesty in the SFStL thread. It's all true....but then "hometowners" bash him for being negative. Truth hurts. The new ride this year is far from cheap. Prozach does bring up good points and sometimes you can have a good conversation with him but is negativity can and sometimes does get old quick. Claiming that local enthusiast are blind to the problems is out right false. Everyone that post on the SFSTL thread has brought up the problems with the park. It has been noted for several years now that the park needs a signature steel coaster and minor improvements. The park recently has been getting the minor improvements need (HWfan and myself mention these improvements and point them out from time to time) but there is no need to bring up the lack of a signature steel coaster all the time. The park will get one when corporate sees fit. It's pointless to complain all the time about the same thing till it changes. Well said. And I agree. It's nice to see the park get the small things out of the way and it's cool to see some insiders post things and talk about it......but it feels a slap to the face when it's a HUGE, GAPING hole is missing and I KNOW "corporate" knows....and they don't address it. Instead of wasting money on a 26 year old relocation of a boomerang, SAVE the money and add it up to something that we could use. Not to mention, hearing people sad about the lack of bumper cars is sad too. And it's no attack on you or the HFan or whatever, I'm/We're glad to get knowledge...just sucks to see something so easily addressed to be passed when parks like Chicago get an XFlight and new RMC build in 2.5 years.

  3. Didn't a higher up for Six Flags say Boss wasn't getting iron horsed? Yes, the park President. Dave Roehmer (spelling).
  4. You should check out STL. The city and everything is very awesome. I believe there is a St Louis Cardinal/6 Flags package that would be very much worth it and help encompass all of the STL areas. SFStL is located about 30-35 mins west of downtown in the outskirts of the St Louis county.......aside from SFStL, the Eureka area where it's located is rather event-less and nothing to do. If coming from Branson, where SDC is, SFStL would be before you hit the city.
  5. A couple of things: The "ghetto" picture on the train ride you posted is an area where they used to, and still do, a "hi-jacking" of the train during Fright Fest....along with some guns and very small fire explosion. It does look odd when it's there during normal park operations. The picture next to Batman where you said it looked weird but the area's theme looks nice was where the Batman stunt show used to be. SFStL used to be an amazing park. When Batman opened, they had a Batman stunt show in that area on those stairs and balcony...was actually rather good! They also had a laser show with Batman swooping in on that area and the plaza at night. Then, SF got cheap and cut all that. I find it funny you said the park was missing something........what you're referencing is a steel, sit-down, GOOD coaster. Yea, join the club. As a STL 28 year native SFStL is/was always 15 minutes from home. Ever since they got lazy in the early 00's, I don't go anymore. $20 for parking?!?! That's insane. And they don't do anything to the park that people have longed and begged for. However, I might visit because of the new dark ride for 2015. Otherwise, it's a pretty forgettable place.
  6. Superman Tower at SFSTL used to be the Dungeon Drop from Astroworld.
  7. I'm not against relocated coasters or "hand me downs".......I am against 23 year old boomerang relocations. If a park transfers or relocates a solid coaster, I think it would be a good addition to a park in need of said coaster. But to give St Louis a 23 year old boomerang is laughable.
  8. The detail in theming is quite impressive. That station is really neat!
  9. Wouldn't Kraken be considered one as well, if Wild Fire is? My first would be Kumba, followed by Kraken.
