  1. Spectacular! I especially like that flying coaster.
  2. While I definitely don't think that it's necessarily bad, Magnum XL-200 could definitely be better by getting new restraints or by reshaping the last few airtime hills in the tunnels that MURDERED MY LEGS. Mean Streak has no hope, kill it, kill it with fire.
  3. WHAT! But that's what everyone identifies the park with! I wonder if anything will go in its place.
  4. I was on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in August of 2012. 5 minute wait, no biggie, get on... and JUST as we start to go up the first lift hill, the power goes out, and it was at night, so there were absolutely no lights on at all, aside from some phone lights and the occasional lightning from the storm outside. It was so creepy, hearing mechanical noises and the thunder echoing in the dark, and seeing all the limp bat animatronics hanging lifelessly on their strings, but that fastpass they gave us was worth it!
  5. I went there 2 weeks ago for a weekend trip. NEVER GO ON THE OPENING WEEKEND OF FRIGHTFEST. LINES. All the coasters were 45+ minutes the entire day, the food service was slow, but it was clean! The rides were fun, Goliath was AMAZING (although after I got off it I never saw it drop below a 150 minute wait all day). It looks like a fun park to go to at the right time.
  6. Zumanjaro Drop Of Doom has an UNBELIEVABLY long queue, it must have taken my sister and I 8-9 minutes to get to the actual line itself! Also, Mean Streak's switchbacks look so long, too bad they're never used.
  7. Wow! All I say is wow! This was one of my favorite parks on the whole forum, good job for the whole park and it's history!
  8. This legitimately makes me cringe looking at it, good job!
  9. ASTONISHING! Just simply amazing! This is probably the best K'nex recreation I have EVER seen! It's so big too! I always had K'nex sets but I could NEVER make something like this! Hats off to you sir, awesome job.
  10. Rock n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney's MGM Studios (when it was still called that).
  11. Does Test Track count as a coaster? I rode it at night in 2007 while it was POURING and I just remember it being very fast and since I was short and there was a windshield on the ride I didn't get hurt on it.
  12. I was trying to convince my friend to go with me to Six Flags Great America in October so we could ride the Goliath, and he said "Those wooden coasters are not safe! One of those are going to fall over at any moment, they shouldn't be legal" or something like that. He knows I get enraged when people say stuff like that, and he was totally serious too!

  14. Wow! A lot of time and dedication must have been put into all of these! Amazing job!
  15. Michigan's Adventure has almost no lines whenever I go, so that's one park to go to.
  16. No... it'd be better if we put them on a 500 foot drop tower or 100 inversion roller coaster as their first major ride
  17. Somewhat... By drop tower standards it's extremely slow, but compared to the rest of the park it is fairly good wait times. Just be prepared to not lose it when all the kids in the line begin SCREAMING at the top of their lungs when Zumanjaro goes 1 inch off the ground.
  18. If you have a Fastpass/Flashpass/Fast Lane advantage, DO NOT smile or smirk at the people standing in the normal line, ESPECIALLY if you literally just cut a 2 hour line with the special advantage you purchased/acquired.
  19. Hello, Theme Park Review! This is my first photo trip report and my first ever trip to a Six Flags park, and what better park to start out with than the largest amusement park in the world! Before going to SFGAdv, my family and I went to both New York City and Washington DC, so I'll just post those pictures for the first part of the report. Some of the pictures might not be the best of quality, but I blame my shaky hand for that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After driving for 15 hours, we arrived from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Secaucus, New Jersey. The hotel was nice, but it took almost 40 minutes to find, so that was quite irritating for us. The next day, we got a bus ticket and went through the Lincoln Tunnel to The Port Authority Bus Terminal in the middle of Manhatton! It was such a great weekend to be in New York! Times Square was busy as always, and it was so flashy and bright too. I loved the design of this building, although I can't remember the name of it. Chrysler Building... The girls in our family would have LOVED this. The High Line. World Trade Center was actually really pretty today. Empire State Building is massive! Times Sqaure: The most flashy advertisments in the world! But enough of the boring stuff, let's get into the most interesting portion of the trip on the next segment of this report, (once I find the right pictures first).
  20. *Sigh* I have a confession to make... Yesterday, while in line at El Toro at SFGAdv, I caught myself saying that wooden coasters aren't safe. I AM THE GP!
  21. Went for the night today, and got my Zumanjaro and Bizzaro credits! Bizzaro was nice, and actually quite intense with all the elements it had like the fire and the mist, a solid B&M for sure! Zumanjaro was INCREDIBLE! The lift hill just kept going up faster and faster and especially since I rode it at night when it was dark it made it more scary! The drop was gradual, but INSANE! It definitely was worth the 45 minute wait and is the best drop tower I have EVER been on! I'm going tomorrow again, hopefully with some pictures too!
  22. Canyon Blaster at Adventuredome gets my vote! So does Mean Streak.
  23. Hey, I'm going to Six Flags Great Adventure on Friday, does anyone have any advice on what to ride first, eating, lines, and anything like that?
