  1. FWIW, the Minnesota Nick U gives wristband-esque slips to both those paying for all-day access vs the pay per ride/points system. The ride op at the first attraction you go to with the all-day version will give you a sticker that attaches the wristband to your wrist. Probably just the easiest solution with all the self-serve kiosks. Be interesting to see how this park deals with it.
  2. Chrissy, this is for you.
  3. Before today, I wouldn't have been surprised either way. But RMC is more well-known than GCI's Titan Track and there's the fact that RMC did comment on the park's Facebook post announcing the ride's closure.
  4. James Caan died last night at 82.
  5. This was my first attempt at making a juicy Lucy where cheese is cooked on the inside of the patty. It was a little pinker than I usually like, but I didn't want to burn the interior cheese as that can and does happen with these burgers.
  6. Question for budgetary purposes: is it possible to hold a day ticket to the park and a ticket to the Christmas party for the same date?
  7. Here's hoping beyond all hope that it can reopen later in the year. My first visit to the park is in late September and I'm looking forward to the Bat.
  8. Because California wildlife conservation laws do not have a separate category for insects, bees are legally considered to be fish. https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/06/us/california-bees-fish-court-ruling-scn-trnd/index.html
  9. ^At least Dr. Diabolical was designed with the bunnies on mind. I think it will be somewhere between the Cedar Fair rides and Velocicoaster.
  10. Gas prices. Last night I filled for $4.49. Last Thursday, it was $4.29. And it's only going to go up.
  11. Motionless in White--Masterpiece
  12. If a carousel takes 3 years, an RMC conversion would take at least 10.
  13. ^I have some quasi, semi-relevant, grain of salt experience. Last year, I visited the park on Monday, July 5th and Wednesday July 7th. I assume most people got Monday off for the 4th. Quick Queue unlimited sold out Monday. Despite that, I was able to ride every ride in the park that I wanted to with some rerides using only standby lines (Griffon was down for my visits and Pantheon had yet to open). Lines and crowds were about the same levels on Wednesday. I would likely recommend buying QQ in advance.
  14. Such a fun, creepy song written for the movie that I need to hear at a haunt somewhere.
  15. There was a lunar Eclipse last night. Camera quality at that range is shit, but I think it gets the point across.
  16. Due to some severe weather in my area tonight (including but not limited to: hail, thunderstorms, tornado watches/warnings), parts of my workplace lost power. Some light fixtures went full strobe. But the big thing that got knocked out was the air compressor. Since we couldn't get it back up, and about 95% of the machines use the compressor, everyone left 4 hours early tonight.
  17. Apparently, the sound of me blowing my nose sounds like a dinosaur straight out of Jurassic Park. Or so a coworker told me.
  18. My sister was none too pleased that her cat decided to cuddle me.
  19. I work the evening/night shift, so I can't get fast food breakfast usually. Traveling through MCO on an early flight today, I was excited to get a croissanwich from Burger King. BK stops serving breakfast at 10am. I got up to the counter at 10:02.
  20. Plushy shark do do do do do do do do
  21. Velocicoaster. Great last ride for my Florida trip.
  22. How many of those promises were made post Covid? That nullified many promises across several industries. How many times did SEAS push back the opening of their (non Texas Stingray) 2020 coasters?
  23. If I see waits like those this weekend, I'm almost going to be upset about getting express passes free while staying at Hard Rock Hotel. Excited to finally get on Velocicoaster. Be good to get on some thrilling rides after a few days at Disney.
  24. Expedition Everest--Animal Kingdom. Got placed in the front row from single rider line.
  25. A slice of pepperoni from Pizza Ponte at Disney Springs.
