  1. This was my burger; which means it was nacho burger. Literally, I cooked chips and cheese onto this burger as an experiment.
  2. ^For real, though. For whose f@#king comfort were the "comfort collars" designed?
  3. I do enjoy any sort of live entertainment at parks--even if it is cheesier than the state of Wisconsin. I make it a point to interact with casts/performers pre/post show. It's decent work, even if the show is not a good representation of the performers' talent. I'm also a sucker for character experiences, such as when I got to meet Cookie Monster this past summer at BGW while wearing a shirt that said "I Want Cookies More Than Abs"
  4. Pretty soon he'll teach them a lesson/Everyone hears a gunpowder message. From the song "Inhumane" by Fades Away. I love the raw brutality of the song which is perfectly exemplified by this line. A thousand scars betray me/oh, what's another one. From the song "Cauterize" by Red. While it's a great line on its own, I love how it's sung with a reluctant acceptance.
  5. "We have got a vaccine that we think will work in a preventative way" "All those receiving shots of the new vaccine are being issued these plastic identity cards. Viewers are urged not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary, and are reminded that if they do, they must carry their vaccine cards with them." Those quotes are from David Cronenberg's 1977 film "Rabid" which I am currently watching. I just couldn't help but notice their resemblance to current events.
  6. The irony that a song called "Why Can't We Be Friends" is sung by a group known as "War" is not lost on me.
  7. Jesus, you really hit every branch of the shit tree on the way down, didn't you?
  8. Late March: Carowinds Late April-Early May: Rescheduled Orlando Family Vacation Featuring WDW/UOR, maybe SeaWorld? F#@k Covid. Throughout summer: Valleyfair August Road Trip: -Arnold's Park -Adventureland (IA) -Lost Island -Santa's Village Azoosment Park -Six Flags Great America -Little Americka -Wisconsin Dells Late September: Kings Island Anytime: Nickelodeon Universe (MN) if only for the Log Chute.
  9. I cooked this burger in butter, spread some bacon grease on the bun, and topped the burger off with a little extra shredded cheese.
  10. Iron Wolf Formerly at Six Flags Great America. Got stuck on the brake run during a power outage back in 2009.
  11. Well I guess that's one way to clear snow off the tracks.
  12. I'm going to need you to say that in cash.
  13. The time: February 2020. My family was planning a vacation to Orlando for December 2020. And then shit hit the fan in a nuclear way. And as it turns out, I had Covid during the time we had planned to go. Anyways, the trip was rescheduled for December 2021. I had scheduled off 9 work days. The flight out is Friday morning. Today was supposed to be my last day of work for 2 weeks. I'm telling my coworkers on the other shift that I'll see them the week of Christmas. Hell, I even posted in the TPR Facebook group a question about the trip today. Two hours after posting that, shit gets fucked 19 ways from Sunday when my brother announced that he has been diagnosed with Covid. Less than 48 hours before the trip, everything gets cancelled. The trip, my PTO, my hopes and dreams. I'm gonna scare a couple coworkers when I show up tomorrow for work. It's not often that I can relate to characters from Kevin Smith films, but for the next two weeks, I am going to understand Dante from Clerks more than any other character from any other film.
  14. I don't know if this is specifically weather related, but as I was driving into work today, I was driving into the sunset. The time was 2:40 pm CDT. I hate how quickly it gets dark this time of year.
  15. I picked up an out of service "DEAD END" road sign for $40. I've done some work at a Halloween attraction called The Dead End Hayride.
  16. I had the radio on in my car earlier. Playing was Metallica's "Enter Sandman." The next song played was an annoying song that I fiercely dislike. And since that song had the audacity to follow Metallica, I changed the station. Not 5 seconds after I changed the station, the new station started up "Enter Sandman."
  17. I visited both parks back in 2010. I did HHN in 2016/2017. With that in mind, I have a couple questions a few weeks out from my trip: -I'll have express unlimited through Hard Rock Hotel; is the system more akin to the CF's Fast Lane or SF's Flash Pass system? Are any merge points far from load/pre-show? -Any hidden gem spots to watch the Macy's parade? -Is it a better idea to rope drop Hagrids or Velocicoaster? Do either have Single Rider lines? -Anything else I should know?
  18. When someone replaces their Halloween decorations with Christmas/winter holiday decorations:
  19. Yeah, especially since IAAPA doesn't start until Monday the 15th. Looks like we just gotta keep an eye out for someone's coverage of the event.
  20. Remember, remember the 5th of November. The gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.
  21. The RMC is to be announced at IAAPA on November 12. Screengrab courtesy of Fun Spot email newsletter.
  22. Is there anything else to listen to today?
