^Sure, the set decoration was fun in Kill Mart, but I waited maybe 5 minutes for it on opening night and feel like I wasted my time. Maybe it was just an opening night thing, but I've also worked better haunts.

Angela Lansbury, 5 days shy of her 97th birthday, has died.

I went alone to a movie tonight at a theater with assigned seating. So I pick my seat, drop my popcorn and beverage off at my seat, and head to the bathroom before the movie starts. When I come back, someone else is in my seat and they've moved my food to a different seat. And they don't understand why I'm passed about it, saying that it's no big deal. Driving home after the movie, I take my aggression out a little too much on my gas pedal and get a speeding ticket.

Near the end of opening night this year, I had a 5 minute wait for Kill Mart and a 0 minute wait for the one in the old Tomb Raider building. Slight rain may have had a hand in that. And on might 2, the lines I saw were short as well at the end of the night. I went into the event not expecting/really wanting to do the houses due to lines/the fact I've worked better haunts. The trip was more about the night rides anyways.

It makes me wonder how and if this incident will affect the park and other halloween events throughout the country. How many will implement alternative Halloween experiences such as what Valleyfair and CGA are doing.

I'll be visiting the park this weekend Friday, Saturday, and the first couple hours Sunday for the first time. I have FL+ Friday only. With this being the opening weekend of Haunt, how early should I line up to park? Any row recommendations on Adventure Express, junior wooden, and Vekoma Hang n Bangs?

Driving into work today, the radio station I was listening to played Falling in Reverse's "Zombified" immediately followed by Bad Wolves' cover of "Zombie." I'd have switched the order around.

Let's just say I had the kind of day at work where I understand why a former coworker would drink on the job. As I type this, I'm getting fairly familiar with my liquor shelf. Thank god for whiskey.

Don't you just hate it when a package arrives and it looks like it got run over by the FedEx truck that hauled it? A recent order of Funko Pop!s (direct from Funko) I had arrived in such a condition with all 4 items having minor to extreme damage. Shoutout to Rob in Funko support for getting me replacements on the two with severe damage. The replacements arrived today in perfect condition (though the shipping vessel still had some damage that did not affect the figures). Bottom Jaws/Top Snow White were the ones that needed replacement. Top Jaws/Bottom Snow White are the ones that just arrived. Funko let me keep the damaged ones, and I have agreed to give them to out of box collector friends.

Dave was at least 2 GMs and a pandemic ago now, so odds are that whatever conspiracy theory board you have from your conversations is no longer valid. Hell, CGA was primed for a big expansion and instead is on its way to the gallows. Even if there was enough room there, (which I doubt) why would the park sacrifice prime waterpark expansion land for a coaster when there are plenty of other areas in the park that could hold it?

What the actual fuck?

This looks like a decent addition to the park. Is it what I would have added: no. But it looks fun and depending on travel prices and the KC Royals schedule, I might try to make it down to the area over a weekend next year. And then with the new attraction being so close to the Boomerang, that attraction's ridership numbers could increase due to increased traffic in the area. So I'm wondering if the park will get one of the new-gen trains for it. Or is that asking too much? Just because it holds no nostalgia for you, does not mean it pays no tribute to the original ride.

Yeah, Cedar Fair rarely makes all their announcements on the same day. The park's probably just waiting another week or so to announce their new fleet of trash cans.

I half want the park to add one of those SBF spinners just so they can say, "Hey, look: we built a coaster. You can get off our backs now for the next 20 years."
