Either Geauga Worlds of Adventure or Freestyle Rock Park. I wish both could have survived. I blame Six Flags on the free-fall of Geauga Lake. They overexpanded way too quickly. And now it's set to be a set of overpriced condos and a grocery store if the latest rumors are to be believed. And I had a timeshare right across the street from the Myrtle Beach music park. BTW, why haven't any more parks asked for Ferris Wheel lifts? What was the maintenance like on it? I also miss Celebration City. I remember the one night I visited, I marathoned OzCat.

If RMC Hurler is opening in 2018, and that truck photo is legit, why is it there so early unless... IT'S ACTUALLY OPENING IN 2017!!! -

For those of you who went to Chill out, from what you saw of the construction on the coaster formerly known as Mean Streak, what would you say are the odds of it opening with the park for the season? This is just me getting an idea of how far along it is and to add fuel to the "when will it open" debate. -

I keep hearing that it's a maintenance nightmare, but have only heard it going down due to weather related issues. I think I remember Dave Frazier once saying that he'd like to relocate the ride, but I could very easily be wrong about that, especially with the new GM. I've heard about its removal more due to its proximity to Soak City and prime expansion land. Replace the current SC entrance and LS with a Matt Racer and a Tornado and move the current entrance to over by Mad Mouse. -

I would not at all be surprised if this was finally Riptide's last season. Top Spins at both WoF and CGA were removed this offseason. In Cedar Fair, that just leaves us, Canada's Wonderland (surprisingly it's on their Fast Lane ), and Kings Dominion. I still picture that plot the ideal spot for the park's frisbee. As for when Enterprise was announced as being retired, I believe it was late July/Early August and closed mid-August. -

That sounds a lot like the "CF hasn't bought an Intamin in a few years. No CF park will ever get an Intamin again" argument. -

Galaxy was used sparingly last year for special events, but mainly as an entertainment backstage area. Galaxy is also highly speculated to be the eventual location of the park's Triotech dark ride. I still think that the Triotech will replace the Bumper Cars. -
Kind of, but if I remember correctly what was still 3-4 years before the removal of the ride (correct me if I'm wrong). More importantly though (if my timeline is correct) it happened well before the park, county and city worked out a deal that ended with the park receiving almost a million dollars in incentives for their ambitious $50 million expansion. Had that never happened it's possible that the water park expansion wouldn't have been as ambitious. Maybe it would have, but a lot of things happened at Carowinds between the decision to re-track Thunder Road and it's eventual removal that were unique to that park. It was also located on a prime piece of real estate and seemed to have very low ridership compared to the other rides in the park. At the same time, the Carowinds water park was almost comically under-sized and crappy. The removal of Thunder Road was a no-brainer. I think you hit the nail on the head. Thunder Road was on prime real estate, while Monte most definitely is not. 98% of precedence revoked. That 2% is in case it does (hopefully not) get removed/relocated.

Interesting things to note: -Galaxy is being unused again. -All Wheels Extreme doesn't start until JULY with 2 off days/week -Kick the Sky sounds a lot like a streetmosphere version of AWE -Karaoke is the only thing at Gazebo -Fireworks only on two nights--more time/show. Last year there were more shows--but they only lasted five minutes--even on the 4th. -Everything else looks the same as previous years -

i could only imagine the markup for one of those. Agreed, I just don't think the concept of Fuddruckers would work all that well inside the park. On property would be another story. -

Since the train will be open, will there be any decorations along its path? Or will it be just a straight jaunt through the snowy woods on the Polar Express? -
Compliments of the Cedar Point Forum. If my math is correct, Dorney should be.... Last new coaster- 2005, hydra. This year- 2017. 2017-2005= 12 years. So, at 20 dollars a year, there will be 240 dollars in Dorneys jar right now. Basing this off of a B&M coaster, going to say the cost of said coaster will be 30,000,000 USD. 30,000,000-240($ already saved)= 29,999,760 dollars to go. 29,999,760/20(money saved per year)=1,499,988. So Dorney will not see its next new coaster for another 1,499,988 years.
