They probably just don't want to work. Sitting around all day in an empty park waiting for any sign of potential riders, and now that that rare and magical moment has occurred, you're making them do it again. It's a feeling that I know on rainy days. The operators may question "Why the hell are people even here?"

I know what you're talking about. Right when it raises off the ground it's a loud bang and scares you. I have noticed that but I feel like it's been that way forever. Oh, you mean the ominous bang of doom, death, and destruction? Just a bit of psychological torture. That, or it means the entire tower's going to collapse mid-ride. Bit of a coin toss really. Maintenance knows about it and doesn't care. It's been doing it for years and the reactions are quite enjoyable. There was one group later in the day today that screamed so loudly and so much that most of the queue laughed at them. -

I'm reserving judgment on the name Railblazer until I see a layout (if it's used at all). And if, as some have worried, there will be too negative a response due to the St. Louis incident, Cedar Fair can always pull a Mantis. As for the recycling of names, as much as I hate it from a creative standpoint, it makes sense from a business standpoint. Many, if not most, GP won't notice or care. Only one name needs to be trademarked. The ride logos and merch can also be cloned with only subtle differences (such as location of the particular Goliath). -

You could likely hit all the coasters and some of the best flats in about 6-7 hours at Valleyfair as long as it's not a weekend. But it is extremely easy to spend several days at the MOA. -

It wouldn't surprise me if money was the issue. But not all attractions have a fancy entrance sign/logo. All attractions have a safety regulations and requirements sign with the ride name. And if you remember, until mid-season last year, all Corkscrew had for a sign was this: At the entrance to the queue. On the ground. -

Based on what? A Gerstlauer fits neither the renewed relationship nor a new type pf coaster that has been confirmed by Ouimet. I take what ride ops say with a grain of salt. Worlds of Fun has a Gerstlauer spinning coaster built in 04. Canada's Wonderland has a Gerstlauer SkyRoller built in the last 5 years. Gerstlauer would be a renewed relationship.

Do you have a source? The Mall of America already has an escape room; IMO they would go for something a little different before adding another escape room... There was a banner in the area advertising it when I went. Now that it has opened on 3rd floor, I am beginning to question it. But it wouldn't surprise me if that banner was advertising a separate escape room. The mall plays host to 3 Starbucks and 5 Caribou coffees, so competing escape rooms would not surprise me. Again, that banner is old at this point, so I have no idea if it's even still up.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Intimidators were/are sponsored by Nascar, considering they're named/themed after Dale Earnhardt I. -

It's recommended at 45, but it usually shuts down at 30 or 35 according to an area supervisor. -

Where did you see the mobile office? You do mean for a construction company correct? I know there's a mobile office that acts as a backstage/hangout for the All Wheels Extreme cast/crew behind the ampitheatre. I also noticed some work between North Star and the ampitheatre. -

After reading the last few pages of this thread, I'm not sure if I should grab some popcorn and beer and wait for more or reach for the migraine medication. I dread the state of this thread when RMC Hurler is officially announced. -

From a quick glance at Carowinds on Google, it's built on relatively flat land. Valleyfair not only has to contend with undulating terrain, but with swamplands. It's not as simple as trucking in a little dirt and running it over with a steamroller and then pouring concrete. The first priority must the rerouting of the employee access road as that is also the main entrance for park deliveries as well (such as dirt, concrete, ride parts, food/supplies needed for daily operation, etc.) Current Park 5-year prediction 2018: Frisbee replacing Riptide; Excalibur closes at season's end 2019: Waterpark Expansion/Rebranding with new parking lot; Dinos closes at season's end 2020: B&M Invert in Dinos area 2021: Planet Snoopy Expansion 2022: Waterpark Expansion
