A buddy of mine was fired this weekend for asking a customer if they wanted "smoking" or "non-smoking." Apparently the correct answer was "cremation" or "burial."

It may be just me, but I don't see what's so Halloween about colorful British mothers... Oh... Right. It'll be interesting to see how well the event does. And how the scares will be executed. I worked in a haunt with half wall partitions between the actors and guests before and neither the guests or the actors really enjoyed those scenes. You just inherently lose something shouting about how you're going to slice someone's head off and slurp their intestines like spaghetti vs whispering it in their ear--especially when you need to say it through a mask.

^It held together fairly well. But it was still quite juicy/greasy. Lots of finger-licking required.

The POV looked pretty dry for how intense some of those rapids looked--especially the drop where some airtime could be had. Granted, only the camera person was riding, but it'll be interesting just how wet you can get with a fully loaded raft.

A week ago, a petition from some random guy on Twitter made the "news" about doing this exact same thing. I wonder if this news is more correlation or causation?

I'm down about maybe 10 pounds since the start of the year (scale has a varying 0 value so I'm not entirely sure) mostly because of an active job, increased water intake and some added (mostly) weekly time on an elliptical. My junk food intake has also gone down a bit due to avoiding extra food because of a Root Canal.

For budgetary purposes, how necessay is Flash Pass during Holiday in the Park (if offered this year). Also, what rides are usually closed for the event. I realize this year's a bit of a wild card, but it's still good to plan ahead.

Since I've all but cancelled my December Orlando trip at this point, I'm looking at a smaller, more relaxation based vacation in early November to Branson. So the question is: most of the Silver Dollar City rides are closed for the season by that point, right? Or are some still open weather depending?

I'm not Elissa, but I don't think any "single visit" is worth a $350 pass. We will see how things go over the year of the pass and then let you know then! $350 for one day? That feels...excessive. And since I didn't say this earlier: Really liked the video, thanks for posting!

Elissa, I remember that you either don't have a Universal pass or were questioning whether or not to renew. Was this trip worth the cost in your opinion?

^It makes sense why. The larger structure to accommodate the increased height, and the higher you go, the more likely the chairs are going to swing a little bit. I definitely noticed more swinging on my couple rides on the Texas Skyscreamer vs Valleryfair's.
