TR: Six Flags Astroworld 4/10/05

Good TR, and the comments about Darien Lake make me feel better that SFNE is only 20 minutes from my house. My guess on why the SFNE superman has a unique layout compared to it twin sisters is because of the terrain the coaster is on. Not a lot of room to build a copy of SFDL S:Ros. -

^ Lets hope the DNA tests prove inconclusive, so the lady can learn her lesson not to pull these stunts and tie up our court system. As for my random post for the day...it took me 3hrs to do a 20 second After Effects project. -
Who do you know at parks?
Token Yankee Guy replied to GalacticHero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I did develop a friendship of the ride-ops for Skycoaster for the 2003 season. Since that was the season I visited the park like 12 times and rode Skycoaster every time (except for one downtime day) I got along really well with the ride-ops. They even gave up on giving me directions, they would be like, "ok now put your hands together like your diving into the suit and......you're already in it...." One Ride-Op I really liked she didn't return for the 2004 season but I made sure to ride skycoaster when I came down to CT during Columbus Day break during my first year of college. Oh man, this makes me miss SFNE more, I want to go to opening day now but I'm broke. My Favorite Ride-Op in SFNE. -
Ever gotten a speeding ticket?
Token Yankee Guy replied to jumbach's topic in Random, Random, Random
I never gotten a ticket nor have I been pulled over for a speeding ticket. But I'm usually pretty good when driving, I try to keep my speed a maximum of 5 over the limit. Sometimes I'll do 10 over the limit but thats it. -

It took me about 2hrs to finish my 10 second Adobe After Effects project. The file is 32MB....But it's a very funny theme, I got a pac-man coming onto screen eating the dots, then a green and red pac-man run by him eating the other two dots and the cherry, yellow pac-man has question marks appear above his head, then he starts running as a baseball rolls onto the screen and crushes him leaving a pool of blood. I think this is going to disturb my teacher more just like my "Escape Neverland" Live Type project. Craiggers "Neverland as in Jacksons Neverland Ranch" K. -
Gas Prices where you live
Token Yankee Guy replied to RtherBOnACoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
For Maine today, regular is at 2.25, and the cheapest gas I could get in the Bangor region is 2.23. Talk about outrageous. Does anyone see the possibilities of these prices going down soon? Craiggers "curious as to why the prices are going up even though this isn't a holiday" K. -

Thats very interesting. In psychology class and when I talked to the psychic for my paper, I learned a lot about dreams and that one of the possabilities is that when you dream, your spirit leaves your body and astro travels. They could also show us scenes from past lifes which the psychic said had many times. As for my dreams, I can't remember what I had last night. But I'll make sure to let you guys know tomorrow after I sleep.

Good TR. Shame you guys didn't have a fun time at bowling. You guys should have flown up to Maine and went with us when we went bowling. Our group got a discount since we kept having lane troubles, our balls wouldn't return after we bowled, then at one point the lane didn't reset. Then at one point we had the whole place to ourselves so we were loud.

^ Yeah, I'm not kidding, and I don't know what Soarin over California is either. Is it like some flight simulator or something? Craiggers "the only parks I keep myself updated about are the ones up here in the North East" K. -

^ Thanks for reminding me about Cafepress.com. I checked out the site and it doesn't cost anything to open a store. But as for like the t-shirts and processing they probably take the % out automatically from your sales. They also have tons of other stuff like mugs, mousepads and bumper stickers.

I like the SBC commercials when they first started popping up in CT. When SBC merged with SNET and I loved their commericals. I'd died of laughter when the lady taught herself sign language on a 56k modem and tried to sign language "I baked this pie for you" to the new deaf kid next door but she really sign languaged "I baked your dog for you." as for commercials I hate.... - The Extra gum commercials, that voice f***kin annoys me so I mute the television. - Also Kidz Bop 1 - God knows when they will stop. Kids shouldn't be singing about songs about adultry!!!! - Sprint PCS commercials where the guy is driving on the bus and a mysterious group of people appear to share problems about their cell phones and laugh about it....It makes me die a little inside every time. Thats all I can think of. Craiggers "I think I got issues" K.

^ They also added trims to it. So Cyclone was pretty much neutered three times over. Sometimes I wish they would tear down Cyclone and rebuild it with the original drop and call it Cyclone's Revenge. Reason why I say that is the coaster is 20 years old and is falling apart. Hell, even Thunderbolt which was built back in the 40's is still going strong because the only thing SFNE has done to it is replaced beams when needed, and they rebuilt the exit bridge so they can add on the Fastlane Entrance and waiting area.
