  1. That storm system is supposed to come up to New England, but luckly it is predicted to get up here on Friday and I'll be home already. Driving down to Connecticut tomorrow morning
  2. Awwww, the new pictures of the baby guinea pigs are adorable. One of them looks like their head is a bit bigger than their body (the first one in the pictures).
  3. That's cool. I remember seeing commercials for the first Asimo here in the US. I wonder how much they run for.
  4. LMAO! oh man that was too funny Soren. No wonder you asked me about the movie rating system. Yeah, that guy is probably gay.
  5. "at least two brand new coasters" heh, Poison Ivy and Superman were brand new ones, Flashback was the one we got from SFKK.
  6. I was thinking of the same thing, lol. As for my vote...it's a tough choice, so I'm not voting unless a third option is put in there or something.
  7. [Edited] my apologies stitch.
  8. Oh man, that was such a classic moment, I wish I had my DV camera to film it. And of course everyone was laughing, rooting, giving directions to this guy at the same time. But in the end, we all shared a "Awww" when he didn't complete one lap. Of course Ted, you forgot to mention that when we got to board, they had us turn around and go the opposite direction. Oh man, I never had that much fun on those bumper cars
  9. Yeah, I can't remember the correct spelling, but you're on the right track. It is excellent pizza...except during PPP when it looks like this. two bites and even before I started eating I got sick of it.
  10. Yeah, it is also used in England to express something cool, but when we use Wicked in New England, it's kicked up a notch.. US ---> really, very, extremely UK ---> cool, good, great, funky France ---> (as 'terrible') great Haha, in one of the definitions for wicked it has a disclaimer for residents who are not from/live in New England "*Dont say it if your not from New England b/c you'll sound like a dumbass and people will make fun of you."
  11. ^ haha, play on words, funny. Because their is only half of your better half in that picture.
  12. Hmmm, I will never ride... Anything that spins flat out. My body can not take it. That new ride at Knoebels, I forgot the name, but there is a picture of it at the bottom of my post. I rode it once and never again will I ride it. Plus if you get me on it, promise to get a earful from me. Ted can testify me yelling at him, lol.
  13. I don't know wether to feel happy for the fanatics at TGE that they're getting a new coaster...or feel sorry that they're going to get brain damage down the line from the coaster. Craiggers "Living strong with brain damage from Mind Eraser (SFNE) since 2000" K.
  14. 4 Consecutive rides in the back row on Storm Runner. Derek and I had a blast since we were the only ones in the group to get four rides. But on the last ride, we got everyone else back on for the final ride of the night. Two consecutive rides on Wildcat at Lake Compounce. There was no one waiting in the station, so they let us go again. Two consecutive rides on Thunderbolt at SFNE mid-day...without getting out of the train and with people waiting in line.. What actually happend is that the train overshot the red line at the end of the station a bit, so they had to re-dispatch us since they aren't allowed to unload/load the train if it's past the red line.
  15. I haven't bashed snyder much, maybe a little, but not compared to some other people. I personally think we should give snyder a chance, you can see he does care about the safety of the patrons at SFNE that's why he is promoting the slogan "Clean, safe, and fun" or something like that, and also is starting to target some families. I don't think this will completely hinder our roller coasters, I do believe we will get some great coasters in the next year, but at the time, get stuff for families. For example, look at what GAdv is doing for the second year in a row. They're building a whole new section which has a lot of stuff for young kids and family, with one attraction directed to older kids and adults. I believe we should give him and chance and see if he does turn Six Flags around in a good way. The season hasn't begun yet and some of you guys are already over-reacting the future.
  16. It started in New England, and a lot of people do say Wicked up here. In other parts of the states Wicked is considered an insult to something. So yes, it is a New England thing.
  17. If we ever wanted aerial fireworks, than we go up to New Hampshire where everything is legal in the terms of fireworks. Back home in Connectict the only ones that are legal are the fireworks that don't leave the ground. Last 4th of July when our neighbors had their annual 4th of July BBQ, we did our 3rd annual fireworks show right in the middle of our street. Of course we can get away with it since it's a road since it's not for thru traffic (plus it dead ends). Anyway, last summer was the first time we had the illegal fireworks and we were setting them off. And we had an upside down trash can and we put one of the fireworks that shoots off aerial stuff...and well, we learned a valuable lesson not to put that kind of stuff on a trash can. Next thing we know it fell on it's side and starts shooting the fireworks at us, then it managed to shoot some fireworks onto the neighbors house.... Can't wait for next summer for the BBQ again.
  18. ^ Sometimes it's great to work in groups on a certain project. We have one class project in my Digital Editing I class and the 5 of us have put in countless hours into producing and editing this training video for the carmel elementary school. I myself have put in 14 hours alone on editing, most of it was fine tune editing. Today I'm going to meet up with my teacher and present him the final product so I can get the final word to convert it to a movie and dump it onto a tape. If my fellow classmates didn't help, it would have taken me longer to do everything. Oh, I forgot to mention something to you, if you do have one person slacking on the group project, inform your teacher so that he/she can grade the people who actually did work and the slacker won't get a good grade.
  19. Actually, to clarify that, we got three new coasters in 2000 when our park got flagged. Superman, Poison Ivy's Tangled Train, and Flashback (new to us). And we lost Black Widow and Little Rickies Little Twister at the end of the '99 season which was the last season the name Riverside was used.
  20. ^ I think someone needs a hug. *hug*
  21. Best Ending: Superman: Ride of Steel (SFNE) Because it's the same as everyone elses reason. Airtime on every single hill all the way to the end! Worst Ending: any boomerang.
  22. ^^^ Your body is a wonderland..
  23. Wicked: New England slang that adds emphasis. Synonymous with really, very and hella.
  24. Note to self: don't send pringles to soren because they already sell them in Germany 2nd, I saw the mini reese's cups in the candy bowl that I sent you! I also saw Robb and Elissa's Pumpkin Reese cups and the s'mores bar.
  25. ^ . I wonder why the mom rejected Joni. Poor thing.
