  1. Oh no you didn't!!!! On TPR? You're gonna call another youtube channel the best rollercoaster channel in the TPR forums? That's ballsy! I don't think the moderators/owners of this site are that sensitive. In the Loop and TPR are too completely different things. TPR focuses more POV videos while ITL does more commentary/park walk throughs/vlogs. It's all just personal taste. In the Loop is the best roller coaster podcast though, and by far.
  2. I had heard that before CF bought Worlds of Fun there were plans to build a wooden coaster themed to a vampire or something in the back of the park that would be similar to Raven at Holiday World.
  3. I've heard some say tag a hyper coaster must be over 200 ft. at its highest point, while others say 200 ft. drop minimum. I'd say if there is a part of the ride that it actually standing above 200ft. it should be classified as a hyper. I'd say so.
  4. Maybe someday we will live in a world where it doesn't matter if it's wood and steel. We will just judge every coaster on "is it good?" But yes RMC topper track coasters are wooden...
  5. You know you're in a Six Flags forum when you hear CF fanboys complaining about Larson Loops being called roller coasters while ignoring the fact that Cedar Fair calls roller skaters coasters and receives zero bitching.
  6. It was probably the best idea the park has had in 15+ years. Attendance skyrocketed.
  7. Let's at least give credit to where you took the photo from. This photo and photos of the Timber Wolf retrack and reprofiled can be found on Worlds of Fun dot org 's Facebook page. Wrong. WOF and Worlds of Fun dot org posted two entirely different photos. Please check your facts before calling out other users and hurting their credibility. Wait... Hold on... Is this real life right now?? PhantomPoster32 was actually wrong about something and there is proof that PhantomPoster32 was wrong??? The savage is strong with this one.
  8. Got a great one for this thread... Not as much shame for me as the people I was riding with. I was at Worlds of Fun around age 9 or 10 riding Fury of the Nile (WOF's Intamin rapid ride) alone, because at the time I was too scared to ride bigger things at the park, while the rest of my family would the huge thrill rides. So I step inside a boat with 5 random strangers, all of which happen to be drunk. And by drunk, I mean DRUNK to the point where they could not walk in a straight line if their lives depended on it. Once the ride takes off, they of course break every rule their is to be broken. We have people standing, yelling, throwing things off the boat, etc. But of course every time we pass an employee of the ride, these clever bastards act sober to the point where you can't tell they have drank in the first place. Once we hit the tunnel (aka, the finale of the ride), this 250-ish pound muscle man decides to stand up during the most intense part of the ride, and shortly after falls and crushes my small pre-teen body, only to become drenched shortly after from a near-by waterfall. Being this irresponsible in a public setting, especially at around 2 PM, is worthy of shaming.

  11. I just hope it encourages Worlds of Fun to do the same thing. Six Flags does have a good amount of rides that could be open, especially Justice League. But the event would not be near the level SDC runs their event (partially because SDC has 3 dark rides, awesome shows, a cave tour, etc. that can be open whenever).
  12. It's funny when people say Cedar Fair is done with Intamin's. This could not be further from the truth. I know first hand that Cedar Fair is still considering Intamin's for many of their parks.
  13. This news is pretty shocking considering how new the ride is. But it really is for the better. I remember WOF's GM telling us that CF offered to replace WOF's classic log flume with a new Intamin one. Glad they turned it down!
  14. Outlaw Run, Fury 325, or Banshee. I love Outlaw Run because no matter where you are on the ride, the only thing you see is the ten upcoming feet of track and trees. Banshee is just plain beautiful, and fits an amazing coaster on to a gorgeous plot of land. Fury 325 does have some elements that could be better, but it is probably the most attractive ride on the planet.
  15. I wish they would put the flying scooters somewhere else besides Planet Snoopy, as it is more of a family ride than a kiddie one. Maybe the Europa Carousel and Flying Scooters could switch spots? I would also like to see Flying Scooters next to Voyager so you could swing out over the lake. I would like to see the Condor on that lake too. It would be cool to see the Troika or the Condor where the Dragon Fountain is in Orient, surrounded by Spinning Dragons. That area is larger than it looks. It would also be nice to see all these rides in Bicentennial Square, as it would really revitalize that entire area.
  16. i don´t see anything recording breaking coming to the park rides-wise, but I´m sure KD will break other records next year, including: 1. Most butt hurt fanbase 2. Most toxic TPR thread 3. Least amount of people in line for a giga coaster at one time 4. Most singing mushrooms (I´m kidding, of course)
  17. Loving the new rides for Worlds of Fun. We have one of the most unique flat collections in the chain (if not the country) so a Condor will really add to our already stellar collection. I mean how many parks can say they still have a rotor, Flying Dutchman, or round-up? PLUS some new Flying Scooters and a Troika too? WoF is a great park for classic flat ride lovers.
  18. So according to LA Times we should see a Condor and a Troika heading to the park soon. Seems like the news came out of nowhere, but I'm super excited. That's brings the total up to 7 new rides! Not bad at all!
  19. My homepark is WoF. We'll give you the rotor for Wicked Twister
  20. Wait, what are you trying to say?
  21. The most annoying people on the Internet are people that take valid criticisms personally. Who cares if someone doesn't like Valravn? It's not "entitled" to say "this ride would be better had it been a little taller" or "this ride should have had a splashdown", it's just their opinions. Sure, it's a little stupid to judge a ride before it's built, but how many people get away with saying "This ride will be the best dive coaster in the world! CP RULES!" I can't make a single valid criticism about a ride (color, theming, stats, trains, manufacturer, etc.) anymore without the Butthurt Fanboy Patrol telling me I'm entitled for giving my opinion on how a park could have made a ride better. Cause today, if I say something like "I wish CP didn't choose to paint the ride brown," people automatically assume that I think this is the biggest abomination to the theme park industry since Superstar Limo, and that every fan of the ride should be executed on site. Sometimes I laterally think some enthusiast have found a way to enter into a committed relationship with some of these coasters, cause you defend them like they are your lawfully wedded wife.
  22. You honestly expect the boat to return to you? The boat never cared about you, me, or ANY OF US! The boat is not coming back, and you need to accept that, DorneyKid. If you love something, let it float...
  23. Mean Streak looks good cause it´s massive. But not as good as Gatekeeper, Maverick, Top Thrill, Valravn, etc. Difference of opinion, I guess.
  24. It does look great but I don´t think anything will ever top Gatekeeper. That ride is absolutely stunning. And Raptor! That ride is STRIKING (too soon?)
  25. People forget that the enthusiast community makes up a small portion of the people at the parks. I never meant to say the ride is bad. I305 is phenomenal. But the GP reaction? Lackluster.
