  1. I don't think you should change the layout of this park now, as that would indeed be unrealistic. I'm just saying for future purposes maybe try to change things up a bit. The layout now, as I stated before, is functional and realistic. I think it works for this park. It's very orderly and clean. I'm not saying that this layout is bad or detracts from the quality of the park, I just think that with more creative layouts and landscaping you could really make some great parks since your architecture and ride design are already good. I trust that whatever you have coming will improve this park even further.
  2. Hold up, hold up.... Write like you MEAN it? This MEANS something? Red sharpie? RMC Mean Streak triple confirmed!
  3. I agree with coasterbill. The path layout right now is functional, but doesn't really enhance the park for me. The architecture and rides are pretty good in this park so a good layout would benefit it greatly. I am actually trying to work on more unique path layouts and landscaping myself as my current park is pretty much a big loop cut down the middle with a center area.
  4. On a different note, I made a major change today in the area that is left to be revealed. It's something that I haven't tried before, should be interesting. I'll leave it at that.
  5. Thank you both for your comments! In response to Gwazi, my main focus with this park was coaster design above everything else. This park is mainly just to combine a bunch of coasters that I would like in real life, it isn't really supposed to be a park that could exist and run in real life. So your complement means a lot to me since coaster design was my focus in this park. In response to MIA fan, I'm glad you noticed that! I wanted to have those two coasters be brighter because the area of the park they were in was more mellow. I wanted those coasters to be the first thing you see when you look at Golden Kingdom, since this park is mainly about coasters. I also wanted them to stick out against the tree line. So thank you for your response.
  6. Those pics were worth the wait! It's very refreshing to see something different like a quirky chinese park. I think you pulled it off quite well. The coasters and theming are so odd and off beat it's really cool to see.
  7. ^That makes sense about the dirt, nice touch of practicality and realism, overall the park is very realistic in how it is managed.
  8. One suggestion I have for Corvus is to put some bullrushes or shrubs in the lock out zones because they look a bit bare right now.
  9. Thanks for the comment! I just did some searching and I think I found a way (on these forums, no less) to get rid of ww and tt objects. I'll see if I can get that to work.
  10. Hello everyone, sorry for the long wait, but Six Flags North Woods is back with an all-new update! This update reveals the final themed area in the park, Golden Kingdom! The area has an oriental and natural theme. I focused on dark red, yellow, and tan for the colors, and tried to use more stone textures rather than steel. This update only contains about half of Golden Kingdom, but it contains all three coasters. Next update will likely be the completion of the park. As always, please give feedback, it is much appreciated. If you provide feedback, I will definitely return the favor and give feedback if you have a park (not that I necessarily wouldn't if you don't). Thank you for reading and enjoy. SCR139.BMP Here is the entrance to Golden Kingdom! This is probably my favorite entrance gate in the park SCR140.BMP Pictured here are the sweets counter and a garden / sitting area. I tried to use different trees in this area than in the rest of the park as well SCR141.BMP And here is the first coaster of Golden Kingdom, Roar! Built by GCI in 2001, it was originally part of county fair, but when the Golden Kingdom expansion was added in 2005, it became part of Golden Kingdom SCR143.BMP Roar features a massive drop and high speed turns as it races through the back woods of the park SCR144.BMP More of roar's layout, the lower section of track is the entrance into a tunnel SCR145.BMP Roar's turnaround across the river SCR148.BMP Roar's helix finale SCR150.BMP Introducing Tatsu! Built by B&M in 2009! Built by Intamin in 2007 SCR164.BMP Kaiju means "strange beast" in Japanese, and the queue in the last shot shows the destruction caused by the beast SCR165.BMP After the first drop, Kaiju features a banked drop and airtime hill SCR166.BMP Kaiju's intense helix turnaround SCR167.BMP Kaiju's twisty second half, which includes a dive into a tunnel SCR169.BMP And here is another feature attraction of Golden Kingdom, Temple of Doom! A perilous 4-D interactive dark ride SCR170.BMP Overview of Golden Kingdom, I really like how it turned out SCR171.BMP Overview of the park
  11. This project is looking like Goliath last year. Goliath only had a little bit of track installed at this stage in the game as well and opened in mid June, but then again they had new supports to put up. It seems like the frame of the ride is just about done though.
  12. At first I was in camp Twisted Colossus but now I'm thinking Wicked Cyclone looks a little better. So compact with such furious pacing, should make for an intense and airtime filled ride.
  13. They mean tallest and fastest of coasters between 300 and 400 feet, not overall tallest and fastest.
  14. The way I get all my custom scenery is by downloading parks with custom scenery, that then gets added into your game. So a park that has these paths is this http://www.nedesigns.com/park/1925/map/1733/six-flags-santa-fe/ ,just download the park and the paths will be a selectable option next time you start a custom scenario. Hope this helps!
  15. What a Game! Seahawks lost! WOOOHOOOO! I hate the Patriots too but not as much as the Seahawks. Great game, wish my Packers could have been in it.
  16. Flat ride package looks good, it'll be interesting to see what happens with Python as there is a lot of land there. One thing I would recommend is to add more shrubs and small pieces of foliage because right now it looks like just trees. I would also recommend getting some darker trees in there. Looks good overall.
  17. The block brake doesn't have to be there all the time, it may only end up being used in emergencies. The thing about that, though, is that there is a chain lift right after it, so why would you need a block brake for emergencies as well?
