  1. Awesome! I'll get my first "credit before it bites the dust" - credit! Question: Which one's the Schwarzkopf and which one's the Arrow Corkscrew? I'm assuming Python is the Arrow. EDIT: Reading the full text is sometimes, but now always, key.
  2. Why am I trying like... something. DSMJ CCDan ????>: snhujgttguinbg cdlloswn thne masn! (Note: Players of "The Lost Experience" would probably be the only ones to know what it means)
  3. Are you confirming it's launched?
  4. Y'know, sometimes I wonder what would happen if I won the lottery and was planning a theme park. I'd definitely invite you guys on the company board. 1. Intamin woodie 2. 97 Degree Coaster (whatever manufacturer it is...) 3. Either a "smooth as a baby's bottom" SLC, or none at all! 4. (parking space reserved for when memory decides to visit again)
  5. Subtleties are not your strong suit, are they?
  6. *KERCHUNK* *SCREEEEEEE* --Wild Thing
  7. The only reason I said this is, I think I remember Elissa saying as such. IIRC, something like "I can tell you, it doesn't seem all that exciting to me, and the CP enthusiasts will probably be even less enthused by the decision." Based on the PB discussion... it's an AquaTrax! Danny "I'd rather be ignorant and entertained than knowledgeable and peeved anyway!" Smith Oh, and James, that was just sad.
  8. ^Meaning if Dick doesn't announce it on August 16th, all hell will break loose amongst the fanboys...
  9. , Pound It! Thanks Ryan.
  10. All the support connectors are on the "outside" of the track, in that case. Flip it upside down (or at least somewhere other than it is now), and I can say with certainty it won't be a tophat. Can't quite rule out a loop, though.
  11. The heck you don't! Eh, like I said, it's an Intamin, and it's at my home park. Long as it's running sometime during next season when I happen to visit, I'll be happy.
  12. Now I need some hotel info. Sister and mom are taking the only vehicle to their university tour, so Dad and I: a) Need a decent hotel within walking distance, if they'll just let you waltz up to the front gate and not have to pay for parking b) Need a decent hotel that has shuttle service to BGA
  13. LOL... that volcano is so pointless. The inside is just all mud, and it smells awful. Plus, you can see out the top. Dragon Mountain is one of my favorite rides, although if I had to rank it would not be in my top 10. It's just so quirky, and those two tunnels through the mountain are awesome. Plus, after all these years, it is not unbearably rough. In fact, I venture to say the back is smooth, even though it does shimmy on the "straight bits". Not only is there mud, there were fresh bulldozer tracks when we went last month. "Escape from reality!" In all honesty, the ride wasn't all that bad. Certainly the weirdest coaster I've experienced (I'm spoiled/sheltered by CP and WDW), but all in all not too shabby! Danny "Though I prefer the back, a guy like me can't resist the front legroom" Smith
  14. My theme park "credits" are few and far between, so this might be kinda biased. Best Restaurant Dancers: Johnny Rockets Best Hot Dogs: Casey's Corner,Magic Kingdom Best Steak: Le Cellier, Canada, World Showcase, Epcot Best Family-Style Dining: Ohana's, Polynesian Resort, WDW Best Mashed Potatoes: Chef Mickey's, Contemporary Resort, WDW (seriously, parmesan mashed potatoes rule) Best Dessert: Superbowl Sundae, ESPN Club, Boardwalk Resort, WDW ($19 of tooth-melting goodness ) Note: The above might change when I try a Dole Whip in just over two weeks.
  15. I don't think it'll be an AquaTrax. Why? Why not? Might as well piss off a few people while being a non-fanboy-conformist. It's an Intamin coaster, it's at Cedar Point, it's included with my season pass next year: The only stats that I really need to know or care about. Like I said before, though, I'll stick with my switchback theory.
  16. It is, but coasters are classified by their rail type, rather than their support structures.
  17. TTD: Firestone Tires Mean Streak: Dramamine (or Ex-Lax) Disaster Transport: Dollar Tree Magnum: NRA Wicked Twister: NOAA Aaaaaand, I'm spent.
  18. Proving that if all the fanboys would just shut up for a couple weeks, they'd get what they were hoping for in the first place.
  19. Ha! Just jogged my childhood memory... "DZ, Discovery Zone!..." Aaaah, good times. The roller slides they had there were the BEST.
  20. Dude! You haven't aged a bit! You still make the exact same face eating food as you did with the knife back then!
  21. If you look at the manufacturer on the Niagara Sky Wheel and yell, "MORGAN ALERT!!" at the top of the ride. (Guilty.) If you confuse more than 3 people/day regarding what a "credit" is, and all they comprehend is something about a guy named "Jeff Jones or something like that".
  22. Yeah... we got the Great Canadian Midway pass last month, which was actually a pretty good deal (it included Ghost Blasters, the Sky Wheel, and a few other Clifton Hill attractions). Glad to see the Pile Driver still looks as crappy as it was last month, too! So slow, and not worth any amount of money that can be measured in dollars.
  23. Behold! The first picture from my NEW Canon Powershot A430.
  24. Hooray, and all that jazz, etc. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/webcams/index.cfm "What's This?" ...Supports, footers, and a few pieces of track. Do I win a cookie or something else of equal culinary value?
